여러분의 기도로 지난 주에 말씀드린 홍콩 출신 친자매 둘이 중국인 디아스포라 협력 사역을 위해 자원봉사자로 헌신해주기로 했습니다. 자원봉사 허입절차와 사역 오리엔테이션 들이 잘 계획되고 진행되도록 기도해주세요. 또한 카이로스 코스가 적정 인원이 참석하여 잘 시작하게 됨에 감사드립니다. 원만한 진행에 지나지 않고 성령님께서 강하게 역사하시는 코스가 되도록 기도해 주세요. 5월 6일(화)에는 이규준 선교사가 토론토전도대학에서 천국의 일상성/현재성/보편성에 대해 말씀을 나눕니다. 천국의 삶을 나누는 복음전파가 될 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 또한 다음 주 5월 12-14일에 열리는 북미 한인 카이로스 코스 책임조력자 수련회가 잘 준비되고 진행될 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Gyoojun & Jinsook Lee: Director of Diaspora Engagement, Canada
We are thankful to God that, through your prayers, two siblings from Hong Kong, whom we mentioned last week, have committed to volunteer for our Chinese diaspora engagement ministries. Pray that the volunteer application process and ministry orientation will be well-planned and executed for these sisters. Also, give thanks that the Kairos course is off to a good start with adequate attendance. Pray that it will not just be a smooth process but that the Holy Spirit will work powerfully throughout the course. On Tuesday, May 6, Gyoojun will speak at Toronto Evangelism College about the everydayness/presence/universality of God's Kingdom. Pray that it will be an evangelistic presentation that shares the life of heaven. Also, pray that the North American Korean Kairos Course Head Facilitators Retreat will be well prepared and conducted next week, May 12-14.

북부 와미* 프로젝트
북부 와미 언어의 여성센터에서는 문해교실과 재봉교실을 통해 여성들을 훈련시키고 있습니다. 최근 한 젊은 여성이 "재봉을 배우는 것뿐 아니라 예수님에 대해 배우는" 것에 대해 감사와 기쁨을 표현했고, 그 자리에서 북 와미 언어로 주기도문을 외웠습니다. 이는 여성센터 사역을 통해 실용적인 기술 교육만이 아니라 예수 그리스도를 통한 믿음과 참 소망이 이곳 여성들에게 심어지고 있음을 확인해 주는 것이었습니다. 재봉교사 중에 아직 예수님을 모르는 분이 있어서 스탭들이 함께 기도하는 중입니다. 이 학생의 고백처럼, 그 재봉교사 분도 인격적으로 예수님을 만나게 되도록 기도해 주세요. *보안명

The Northern Warmi language women's center trains local women through literacy classes and sewing classes. Recently, a young woman expressed her gratitude and joy for “not only learning to sew, but learning about Jesus,” and recited the Lord's Prayer on the spot in Northern Warmi, confirming that the Women's Center's ministry is not only teaching practical skills, but also instilling faith and true hope in the women here through Jesus Christ. The staff is praying for one of the sewing teachers who doesn't yet know Jesus, and like this student's confession, please pray that she will come to know Jesus in a personal way. 위클리프 에티오피아가 성경 번역 사역을 지원하기 위해 대내외적으로 전문 서비스를 제공하는 데 적극 참여해 온 것을 인하여 하나님께 감사와 찬송 드립니다! 구전 성경 번역 분야에서 전문 단체가 되어, 언어 공동체를 위한 번역 자문, 훈련 및 조력 활동으로 섬길 수 있게 되었으며, 나아가 이 단체의 정보통신 전문가들이 동역 단체들의 정보통신 시스템 업그레이드, 이메일 시스템 구축, 현대화된 디지털 인프라 확보를 지원했습니다. 이는 정보통신 시스템 강화를 위해 내부 정보통신 전문가들과 외부 전문가들을 영입하여 맡김으로 가능했던 일이었습니다. 하나님께 감사드립니다. 또한 조판 전문 교육을 제공하여 4명의 인력을 양성했으며, 이로 인해 에티오피아 및 지역 내 다른 동역 단체들에 조판 사역 지원을 제공할 수 있게 되었습니다. 위클리프 에티오피아에서 제공되는 여러 섬김을 통하여 주요 동역자(/단체)들의 필요를 잘 충족하도록 최선을 다하고 있습니다. 아울러 위클리프 국제 연대 내의 넷트웍을 통해 다른 단체들에게도 이런 경험을 잘 공유하여 유익을 끼치길 원합니다.

Active involvement in providing specialist services: Ethiopia
Praise God that Wycliffe Ethiopia has been actively involved in providing specialist services to support Bible translation work, both locally and internationally. Their expertise in oral Bible translation (OBT) has positioned their members to serve as consultants, trainers, and facilitators for language communities. Additionally, Wycliffe Ethiopia’s IT experts have supported partner organizations by upgrading IT systems, setting up email systems, and ensuring modernized digital infrastructure. This was achieved by assigning in-house IT professionals and bringing external experts to enhance IT systems. Thank God, the organization has also provided specialized training in typesetting, equipping four individuals with the necessary skills to serve Ethiopia and other regional partner organizations with typesetting services. Wycliffe Ethiopia ensures that the services offered align with the expressed needs of stakeholders. They desire to help others within the network of the Alliance to benefit from their experiences.

파푸아 라자 암파트의 미솔 섬에 위치한 리말라스 교회는, 라자 암파트 다중언어 성경번역 프로젝트를 위해 인도네시아 성경번역 단체인 카티다야에서 주최한 4개의 부족 언어를 대상으로 한 철자법 워크숍에 대해 감사를 표했습니다. 자신들의 모어로 하나님의 말씀을 접할 수 있는 중요한 단계였습니다. 이 교회는 넉넉하지 않은 가운데서도 사역 팀원들을 위해 기꺼이 숙소, 음식, 경비 등을 제공, 지원하고, 감사의 전폭지원의 표시로 팀을 현지 여행에 모시기도 했습니다. 라자 암파트 언어권 내 각 번역 프로그램이 원활하게 진행되도록, 철자법 워크숍에서 제작된 언어 표기 시스템 책이 성경 번역에 도움을 주는 자료로 지역 사회에서 잘 받아들여지도록, 리말라스 마을 성도들의 풍성한 나눔에 하나님의 더 복주시도록, 이 다중언어 프로젝트에 재정이 잘 공급되도록 기도해 주세요.

Generosity through limitations: Indonesia
The Limalas congregation on Misool Island, Raja Ampat, Papua, is grateful for the orthography workshop held for four languages in the Raja Ampat Cluster by Kartidaya. Accessing God's Word in their mother tongue was essential. Despite their circumstances, this congregation happily opened their homes to the entire team, providing food, ensuring security, and even taking the team on a trip to express their gratitude and support. Please pray for:
- Smooth operation of each translation program in the Raja Ampat Cluster;
- Reception of the language writing system book from the orthography workshop, aiding in Scripture translation;
- God’s blessings on the Limalas Village congregation for their generosity;
- Funding for this cluster project is provided.

Land Operations
In parts of Africa, 98% of roads are unpaved, and the rainy season lasts for half the year. Although challenging, the most effective way for translators to gather input, test drafts, assist churches, and initiate literacy classes is to visit local communities. That’s why JAARS paves the way for our partners by providing them with motorbikes, 4WD vehicles, safety equipment, and training in driving and maintenance. Please pray for the 4WD vehicles and motorcycles that we provide to our mission organization partners worldwide, as well as for their personnel's operational and maintenance training.
