페루 동부 아푸리멕 케츄아 성경 봉헌식
5월 22-31일까지 페루 산지의 동부 아푸리맥 케츄아 성경 전권 봉헌식에 위클리프 스탭들과 이규준 선교사, 그리고 토론토 지역의 한인 후원자들 5분이 함께 참여합니다. 위클리프 말레이시아와 일본에서도 관계자들이 현지로 도착합니다. 이번 여행을 통해 현지인 성경 번역 및 문해 사역 단체인 아이디아(AIDIA)의 사역 현장도 함께 방문하여 성경 번역 선교를 통한 공동체의 변화와 지역교회의 활발한 사역을 확인하고, 계속해서 진행 중인 다른 지역에서의 성경 번역 프로젝트도 소개받습니다. 여행의 안전과 풍성한 교제와 더 깊고 넓은 동역의 기회가 열리도록 기도해 주세요.

Five Partners from Toronto will join the Eastern Apurímac Quechua Bible Dedication, Peru.
Wycliffe staff, Gyoojun, and five Korean-Canadian supporters from the Toronto area joined them from May 22 to May 31 for the dedication ceremony of the Eastern Apurimac Quechua Bible in the Peruvian mountain region. Representatives from Wycliffe Malaysia and Japan are also joining the site. The trip will also include a visit to AIDIA, a local Bible translation and literacy ministry organization, to witness the transformation of communities and the active work of local churches through the translated Bible in their languages, as well as to learn about ongoing Bible translation projects in other regional languages. Pray for safety, rich fellowship, and opportunities for deeper and broader partnership as a result of this trip.

박요섭 / 조선향 선교사: 파푸아뉴기니 카니누와 종족 성경 번역
지난 2월에 “구약 파노라마 성경책” 이야기를 봉헌하게 된 것을 하나님께 감사드립니다! 2016년 카나누와 어로 번역된 첫째 책인 미니 성경이 봉헌된 지 9년이 지나서였습니다. 비록 구약 성경 전체가 아닌 일부를 번역해 한 권으로 묶은 책이지만, 구약에서 역사하신 하나님의 이야기가 자신들의 언어로 쓰여 있어서 이해가 잘 된다며 기뻐하는 카니누와 사람들의 반응을 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다. 특별히 나이 드신 어른들이 아주 좋아합니다. 신약에 비해 구약의 말씀은 들을 기회가 적어서, 비록 전서가 아닌 발췌본인 파노라마 성경이지만 참으로 귀한 책이라고 이구동성으로 말합니다. 특별히 이번 파노라마 책에는 룻기와 에스더서가 포함되었는데, 교회 여선교회에서는 이 내용을 어떻게 드라마로 만들어 예배 시간에 올려 드릴지를 궁리 중이라고 하여 더욱 기대가 됩니다. “구약 파노라마 성경책”이 마을 교회에서, 가정에서, 개인적으로 읽히고 들려서 하나님의 말씀이 카니누와 사람들에게 잘 심겨지도록 기도해 주세요. 박 선교사 부부를 비룻한 카니누와 성경 번역 팀원 모두가 영육 간에 강건하여 맡은 책무들을 은혜로 잘 감당하도록 계속해서 기도해 주세요.

Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible Translation, Papua New Guinea (PNG)
We thank God that the “Kaninuwa Old Testament Panorama” was dedicated this February! Nine years after the first book was translated into Kaninuwa, the Mini Bible was dedicated in 2016. Praise God for the response of the Kaninuwa people, who rejoiced that they could understand the stories of God's work in the Old Testament because they were written in their language, even though the book is a translation of parts of the Old Testament rather than the whole. It's especially popular with older adults. They don't get to hear the Old Testament as often as they do the New Testament, so it's a valuable resource, even though it's an excerpt, not the whole book. They are excited about including the books of Ruth and Esther in the Panorama, and the women's group of the church is considering how to dramatize them for the worship service. Please pray that the “Old Testament Panorama” Bible will be read and shared in churches, homes, and personally, so that God's Word will be planted in the hearts of the Kaninu people. Please continue to pray for Joseph and Joyce, along with the translation team members, that they will be strong in spirit and body and fulfill their tasks by God's grace.

북부 태국어(라나) 문해 및 성경활용 사역: 동남아시아
사역팀은 매일 묵상 시간에 함께 라나 성경 읽기를 통해 기술과 지식을 지속적으로 향상시키고 있습니다. 사역팀은 모든 교실 수업과 행사에서 문화적으로 적합한 교재들을 제공하기 위해 열심히 노력하고 있습니다. 또한 페이스북 페이지를 홍보하기 위해 전략을 수립하고 최선의 실천 방법을 구현하고 있고, 인턴 사역자들은 브룸책 제작용 프로그램으로 전자책을 만드는 방법을 배우고 있으며, 토속 음악 워크숍에 참여하여 토속 음악을 만들고 있습니다. 프로젝트 책임자인 오이 사역자는 다양한 사역에서 뛰어난 성과를 내고 있는데, 사역팀과 인턴들에게 더 나은 멘토와 리더가 되기 위해 영어 공부를 계속하며 새로운 기술을 습득하고 있습니다. 오이는 팀 사역에 적용하기 위한 능력있는 아이용 교재를 준비하고 있습니다. 자자 사역자는 동일한 교재로 라나 어린이 클럽에 적용하기 위해 애쓰고 있습니다. 두 지역 현지 학교에서 새로운 학기 라나어 수업을 시작하는 사역팀을 위해 기도해 주심에 감사합니다. 오이 사역자가 지역 사회 구성원들과 더 깊은 교제를 위해 노력하도록, 또한 다양한 방식으로 섬기며 지역 사회에서의 관계가 계속 강화되고 있는 것을 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다.

Northern Thai (Lanna) Literacy and Scripture Use Ministry: Southeast Asia
The team continues to enhance and deepen their skills by reading the Lanna Bible together during daily devotions and discussing their readings. They work diligently to ensure that culturally relevant teaching materials are available for all the classes and events they lead. The team also strategizes and implements best practices to promote the Lanna Facebook page. Interns are learning to create books using the Bloom book maker and participating in an Ethno Arts workshop on songwriting. Oi, the project manager, excels in her various responsibilities. She continues studying English and acquiring new skills to become a better mentor and leader for the team and interns. Oi is also studying and integrating the Capable Kids curriculum into team activities. Jaja is learning the same curriculum to apply it to the Lanna Kids Club. Thank you for praying for the team as they begin teaching a new semester of Lanna classes at two local schools. We are grateful for your prayers for Oi as she seeks to connect more deeply with members of her community. Praise God that Oi's relationships in her community continue to strengthen as she serves in various ways.

성경 활용을 통해 지역 교회 섬기기: 남아프리카
위클리프 남아공은 성경 번역 프로젝트가 진행 중인 지역들뿐 아니라 전국적으로 지역 교회들을 섬길 기회에 감사드립니다. 요하네스버그에서 두 번째로 큰 마을의 한 교회에서 최근 열린 구전 성경 이야기 워크숍을 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다. 이 워크숍이 리더들에게 중대한 영향을 끼치고 지속적인 선교 헌신의 문을 열어주신 하나님께 감사드립니다. 다른 지역 교회들도 이 성경 활용 프로젝트에 동참하고 있습니다. 위클리프 남아공의 성경 활용 부서를 이끄는 헬렌 선교사와 요하네스버그 지역 교회들과 협력하고 있는 부사니 선교사를 위해 기도해 주세요. 이러한 사역이 여러 교파를 연결하고 성경 번역의 필요성에 대한 인식을 높이는 데 기여하고 있습니다. 케냐에서 열린 달리기 행사에서 영감을 받아 시작된 ‘성경 없는 부족들을 위한 달리기'를 인해 감사드립니다. 지난 3월에 열린 이 행사는 성경 번역에 대한 인식을 높일 수 있는 훌륭한 방법이었습니다.

Serving local churches through Scripture engagement: South Africa
Wycliffe South Africa is thankful for the opportunity to serve local churches in areas where translation projects are in progress and throughout the country. We praise God for the recent oral Bible storytelling workshop held at a church in the second-largest township of Johannesburg. Thank God for its tremendous impact on leaders and for opening doors to their continued commitment to mission work. Other local churches are involved in Scripture engagement initiatives. Please pray for Helen, who leads Wycliffe South Africa’s Scripture engagement department, and Busani M., who works with local churches in Johannesburg. This outreach connects many denominations and raises awareness of the need for Bible translation. Thank God for the Run for the Bibleless, inspired by the race in Kenya. The event in South Africa occurred in March and was an excellent way to raise awareness for Bible translation.

위클리프 네덜란드는 기도와 헌금, 선교지에서 사역하는 선교사 후원 등 지역 교회들이 선교 단체가 사역을 감당하도록 협력해 주신 하나님을 찬양합니다. 네덜란드 교회들이 연합하고, 열방의 교회들과 연결되어 하나님께서 베풀어 주신 것들을 나눌 수 있도록 동기를 부여해달라고 기도해 주세요. 교회들이 성경 번역 운동을 통해 서로 배우고 복음 전파의 이야기를 통해 영감을 얻도록 기도해 주세요.

Praises and prayers for churches: Netherlands
Wycliffe Netherlands praises God for support from churches to contribute to their ministry, whether through prayer, offerings, or support staff working in the missions. Pray for unity among churches in the Netherlands and ask that they be motivated to connect with churches globally, sharing what God has given them. Pray that churches will be open to learning from one another through Bible translation movements and will be inspired by stories of spreading the gospel.

Base Operations
Please pray for the transitions at the JAARS Base in Waxhaw, North Carolina, USA, to enhance our capacity to train, deploy, and support the next generation of missionary pilots, mechanics, and technicians. New and restructured divisions, departments, and staff exist at every level. Pray that we will build cohesive cross-functional teams with agile minds and willing hearts as we explore new collaboration methods.
