동부 아푸리멕 케추아 성경 봉헌식: 페루
여러분의 중보 기도에 감사드립니다! 지난주에 페루 동부 아푸리맥 케추아 성경 봉헌식을 은혜중에 잘 마쳤습니다. 여러 마을에서 온 현지인 교회 성도들과 캐나다를 비롯한 여러 나라에서 온 축하 방문단들이 그동안 아이디아 (AIDIA)와 지역 교회들, 그 공동체들의 신실한 헌신과 협력을 통해 이 성경 번역을 이루게 해주신 하나님께 함께 찬양 올려드렸습니다. 현지인 성도들은 여러 나라에서 온 축하방문단에 놀라며 감격했고, 방문한 저희 한인 동역자들은 얼마나 귀하게 동부 아푸리맥 성경이 사용되고 있으며 그분들의 말로 된 찬송과 기도를 통해 하나님께서 영광 받으시는지를 목도하고, 하나님이 이분들의 말로 된 말씀을 통해 앞으로 행하실 큰 일들을 기대하며 함께 기도 했습니다. 여행의 안전과 모든 일정에 역사하신 하나님께 감사드리며, 방문하신 동역자들과 위클리프 캐나다가 힘써 아이디아와 안데스산맥 고산 지역에 있는 케추아 사람들과 계속 협력할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

The Eastern Apurímac Quechua Bible Dedication: Peru
Thank you for your prayers! We had a grace-filled dedication service for the Eastern Apurimac Quechua Bible in Peru last week. Local church members from several villages, along with celebrating visitors from Canada and other countries, praised God for the faithful dedication and cooperation of the local churches, their communities, and AIDIA, through which God has accomplished the translation of the Eastern Apurimac Quechua Bible. The local church members were amazed and overwhelmed by the group of celebrants from many countries. Our Korean-Canadian partners witnessed how preciously the Eastern Apurimac Bible is being used and how God is being glorified through the praises and prayers of these people, Eastern Apurimac Quechua, and prayed together in anticipation of the greater things God will do in the future through the Word translated in their heart language. Praise God for the safety of the trip and for all that He has done through it. Please pray for our visiting partners and Wycliffe Canada as we continue to partner with the Quechua people of AIDIA in these high Andes Mountains areas.

이산 구전 성경 번역 프로젝트: 태국
프로젝트의 공식 착수 행사가 성공적으로 개최되었습니다. 작년 10월, 19개 주에서 모인 91명의 참가자를 인하여 하나님께 찬양을 드립니다. 함께 참여하는 동역 단체들의 적극적인 지원으로 행사는 원활하게 진행되었습니다. 교회가 제자 양성과 지역 주민들에게 복음을 전하는 데 전력하도록 하는 것이 이 프로젝트의 목적입니다. 지난해 태국 동북부 지역에서 실시된 언어 조사로 프로젝트가 시작되었는데, 조사 팀은 20개 지방을 방문해 250명의 목회자와 교회 성도들을 인터뷰했습니다. 언어 조사 과정에서 팀은 지역 사회 지도자들과의 관계를 쌓으며 필요들을 파악했습니다. 팀은 금년말까지 마가복음을 완역할 계획입니다. 올해 필요한 약 5만 불의 소요 재정을 위해, 팀이 한 마음과 하나님 나라의 비전으로 단합하도록, 그리고 이 프로젝트에 필요한 물리적, 그리고 인적 동원에 대한 모든 과정에서 하나님의 지혜 주시도록 기도해 주세요.

The Isan Oral Bible Translation Project: Thailand
The official launch event was held successfully and wonderfully. Praise God for the 91 participants from 19 provinces who met in October 2024. The partner organizations, working together, well supported the project. The objective of the project is to strengthen the local church in disciple-making and sharing the gospel with the people in the area. The project began with a language survey conducted in the Northeastern region of Thailand last year. The survey team traveled to 20 provinces and interviewed 250 local pastors and church members. During the language survey, the team also inquired about local community needs and established relationships with community leaders. The team plans to complete the translation of the Gospel of Mark by the end of 2025. Please pray for the budget for this year, which is about USD 50,000. Pray for the team—for unity with the same heart and a kingdom mindset. Please pray for the team as they determine a location, recruit staff, and set up an office to begin the Isan Oral Bible Translation project.

교인들의 성경 번역 참여를 위한 창의적인 방법을 모색한 교회: 미국
작년, 콜로라도주 리틀턴에 있는 한 작은 교회의 목회자와 리더들은 교인들에게 성경 번역에 대한 관심을 불러일으키는 창의적인 방법을 찾아냈습니다. 그들은 성경 번역이 왜 중요한지에 대한 영상과 이야기를 나누고, 마태복음을 통해 선교에 대해 가르쳤습니다. 교회 전체가 그 기간 성경 번역 선교용 지정 헌금을 했고, 50명의 교인으로 구성된 이 작은 교회는 총 1만 불을 헌금했습니다. 아이들을 포함한 전 교회가 함께 기부금을 어떤 사업에 사용할지 직접 선택했습니다. 부활절에 교회에서 어린이들을 위한 전통적인 달걀 찾기 행사를 열어 10개의 플라스틱 달걀 속에 초콜릿 양 하나씩을 넣었습니다. 이 달걀을 찾은 어린이들이 교회가 후원할 언어 공동체들을 선택하는 데 참여했습니다. 교회에 다니지 않는 가정의 한 소년이 쵸콜렛 양을 찾았고, 그 양은 소년의 가족에게 복음을 전할 기회도 제공했습니다. 그들은 위클리프 미국의 웹사이트에 들어가 보고 하나님의 말씀이 모든 사람에게 왜 중요한지 깨달았습니다. 이 교회의 성경 번역에 대한 열정이 커지고, 모든 연령대의 사람들이 함께 참여할 수 있도록 창의적인 방법을 찾도록 인도하신 하나님께 감사드립니다. 우크라이나 수화를 포함한 여러 언어로 하나님의 말씀을 번역하는 곳에 드려진 이 헌금 위에 하나님의 복이 넘치도록 기도해 주세요.

Church Finds Creative Ways to Engage the Congregation in Bible Translation: USA
In 2024, the pastor and leaders of a small church in Littleton, Colorado, discovered creative methods to build excitement about Bible translation within their congregation. They shared videos and stories highlighting the importance of Bible translation and taught on missions from the book of Matthew. The entire church designated its mission giving during that period to Bible translation. Ultimately, this small church of 50 people contributed a total of $10,000. As a unified body, they chose which projects would benefit from the donations. Even the children participated. On Easter, the church hosted a traditional egg hunt for the kids. Ten of the plastic eggs contained a chocolate lamb, and the children who found those eggs were able to help select one of the language communities that would benefit from the church’s contributions. One boy, from a family that did not attend church, found a lamb, presenting an opportunity to share the gospel with his family. As they explored the Wycliffe USA website, they learned why God’s Word matters to everyone. Praise God for the excitement about Bible translation that flourished in this church, and for the innovative ways they engaged people of all ages. Pray for God’s blessing on these gifts as they help provide for the translation of His Word into several languages, including Ukrainian Sign Language.

기도 공동체를 통한 교회 협력: 스위스
위클리프 스위스는 교회가 중보기도를 통해 성경 번역 사역에 동참하도록 돕는 것을 목표로 합니다. 위클리프 스위스는 자기네 모어로 번역된 성경이 없는 31개의 종족을 위한 기도 서신을 준비해 왔고, 지난 수년간 많은 스위스 교회 성도들이 기도를 통해 성경이 없는 종족들을 입양하고 기도해 왔습니다. 위클리프 스위스의 궁극적인 목표는 중보 기도자들이 공동체를 형성하고 정기적으로 모여 함께 기도하는 것입니다. 기도로 모이는 것은 교회가 성경 번역에 기여할 수 있는 강력한 방법입니다. 예수께서 두세 사람이 함께 모여 기도하면 주님이 그들 가운데 계신다고 약속하셨기 때문입니다. 현재까지 9개의 기도 공동체가 세워졌습니다. 더 많은 중보기도자가 열정적으로 공동체에 참여하거나 새로운 공동체를 시작하고, 더 많은 지역 교회가 성경 없는 종족들을 위해 기도할 수 있도록, 또한 새로운 기도 공동체를 시작할 수 있도록 격려하고 있는 위클리프 사역자들에게 지혜를 주시도록 기도해 주세요.

Engaging the church through prayer communities: Switzerland
Wycliffe Switzerland aims to allow the church in Switzerland to engage in the Bible translation ministry through prayer. This is why Wycliffe Switzerland has prepared prayer letters for 31 different Bibleless people groups. Over the years, many Swiss Christians have "adopted" a Bibleless people group in prayer. Wycliffe Switzerland's ultimate goal is for intercessors to form a community, meeting regularly to pray together. Coming together to pray is a powerful way the church can contribute to Bible translation, as Jesus promised that where two or three meet as his followers, he is there among them. To date, nine prayer communities have been established. Pray for more intercessors to join or start a community with enthusiasm, and for more local churches to adopt a people group. Pray also for wisdom for the Wycliffe staff who are trying to encourage people to begin new prayer communities.

Air Operations
For nearly 75 years, JAARS has been a leader in mission aviation, serving in the most remote and rugged places on Earth. Many language groups still lack access to God’s Word and are among the most difficult to reach. Picture endless miles of rainforest and rugged mountains—with unpredictable weather, no support system, and airstrips carved out by hand. Flying safely in these environments is one of the most challenging jobs on earth, and it’s at the core of what God has called JAARS to do. Please pray for the maintenance needs of our fleet of aircraft, as well as for the pilots, mechanics, and avionics technicians who require our specialized training, and for the acquisition of qualified staff. Pray for effective collaboration with our mission aviation partners worldwide.
