알버트/마르다 (이삭, 모세) 선교사: 위클리프 대만 대표, 보안국 지역 책임자
알버트 선교사의 부친이 장기 입원 후 중환 중이라 홍콩에 계신 가족을 만나기 위해 이번 주부터 출타 중인데, 하나님의 은혜로 부친이 잘 회복되도록 기도해 주세요. 파푸아뉴기니 의료 단기선교팀이 6월 25일 출발합니다. 치과 의사인 팀장이 갑자기 골절상을 입고, 의사 팀원 한 분은 모친의 건강 악화로 이번에 합류하지 못하게 되었습니다. 팀장의 치료와 부족한 팀원의 보충, 그리고 하나님의 은혜로 잘 준비하여 이번 단기 선교 사역을 잘 감당하도록 기도해 주세요. 마르다 선교사는 7월초부터 캐나다에서 모이는 사역팀 회의와 후원교회 방문등의 일정을 위하여 7월말까지 가족들과 함께 캐나다에서 체류하게 됩니다. 모든 일정이 순조롭고 유익한 모임과 만남들이 되도록 기도해 주세요.

Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): Director of Wycliffe Taiwan and Language Program Manager of a sensitive area, respectively
Albert's father has been hospitalized for a while and is in critical condition. Albert is away from home starting this week to visit his family in Hong Kong. Please pray that God will grant his father a speedy recovery. The Medical Short-Term Mission Team to Papua New Guinea will depart on June 25. The team leader, a dentist, suddenly suffered a fracture, and one of the doctors on the team could not join due to his mother's deteriorating health. Please pray that the team can prepare well for this short-term mission trip through the team leader's treatment, the addition of new team members, and God's grace. Martha will be staying in Canada for most of July to attend a ministry team meeting and visit partnering churches. Please pray that all these busy ministries will proceed smoothly and that she will have fruitful meetings and fellowships.

이규준 / 한진숙 선교사: 디아스포라 협력, 캐나다
지난 5월 1일~6월 19일에 열린 카이로스 코스가 은혜 중에 잘 마치고, 참여하신 분들이 모든 민족을 향한 하나님의 선교를 품는 성경적 세계관을 갖고 선교적 삶을 살게 됨을 감사드립니다. 절반 이상이 이번 목요일에 열리는 조력자 훈련에 참여하게 되는데, 계속해서 의미 있는 선교 동원운동이 교회와 협력하여 이뤄질 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 이 선교사는 6월 28~29일 (토-주일)에 에드먼튼한인침례교회 (권성범 담임목사)의 초대로 선교 특강과 주일 설교 말씀을 전하고 지역의 목회자들과 교제하는 시간을 갖습니다. 초청교회의 선교의 달 '선교가 이끄는 삶'이 매 주 잘 진행되게 기도해주시고, 이 선교사 역시 잘 준비되며 풍성한 만남과 교제 시간 갖도록 기도해 주세요.

Gyoojun & Jinsook Lee: Director of Diaspora Engagement, Canada
We are grateful that the Kairos course, held from May 1 to June 19, was carried out well by God's grace and that those who participated were equipped to live missional lives with a biblical worldview that embraces God's Mission for all nations of the world. More than half will be participating in the Facilitators Training Course this Thursday, June 26. Please pray that a meaningful mission mobilization movement will continue in partnership with churches. By the invitation of Edmonton Korean Baptist Church (Rev. Abraham Kwon, senior pastor), Gyoojun will deliver a missions lecture on Saturday and a sermon at the church's Sunday worship service on June 28-29. This is the fourth week of their mission month with a theme of 'A Life Led by Mission'. Please pray for Gyoojun's good preparation and an enriching time of meeting and fellowship.

두스카니* 프로젝트의 진전을 인하여 하나님깨 감사드립니다! 창세기 아담 이야기의 첫 번째 초벌 번역이 완성되었고 곧 수정 작업이 시작될 예정입니다. 알파벳 책에 업데이트가 이루어졌고 1학년 교과서 수정 작업도 곧 시작될 예정입니다. 두스카니* 속담집도 출시되었습니다! 지난 4월에 새학기가 시작되었는데, 이번 학기중에도 긍적적인 사역의 진전이 있도록, 이 다중 언어학교를 후원하는 사역 단체로의 재인가를 위해 정부 기관과 필요한 서류 절차를 잘 마치실 수 있도록, 두스카니* 속담집에 현지 작가들이 지역 언어로 작성된 자료를 더 많이 만들수 있는 영감 주시도록, 또한 사역팀이 독서 자료 수집을 계속하기 위한 열정을 위하여 기도해 주세요.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)
Duskani* Project:
Praise God for progress on the Duskani project! The first draft of the Adam story has been completed, and revisions will start soon. Updates have been made to the alphabet book, and revisions of the class-one lesson book are expected to begin shortly. A Duskani book of local riddles has been launched! The new school year started in April. Please pray for positive progress this school year. Pray that the necessary documentation can be completed with a government agency for the renewal of the organization that sponsors the school. Pray that the Duskani* book of local riddles inspires more local writers to create written materials in the local language. Pray also for the team’s ongoing efforts to build a collection of reading materials. *pseudonym.

변화된 마음: 페루
"우리 공동체에서는 샤프라어로 성경을 번역하기 시작한 이후 많은 것이 변하기 시작했습니다."라고 현지인 성경번역 사역자 기예르모는 말했습니다. 이 샤프라 공동체에서 하나님이 사람들의 삶을 변화시키고 계십니다. 싸움과 폭력이 줄어들었고, 많은 사람들이 하나님을 기쁘시게 하지 못했던 옛 관습을 버리고 있습니다. 그들은 더 큰 평화, 연합, 그리고 사랑을 경험하고 있습니다. 다른 공동체에서 온 샤프라어 사용자들도 팀이 성경 번역을 계속하기를 바랍니다. ‘우리에게 “이 일을 포기하지 마세요!”라고 말했다고, 기예르모는 전했습니다. 그들은 자신들의 언어로 된 성경 전서를 간절히 원하며, 이 사실이 번역팀이 계속해서 번역 사역을 해나가는 데 큰 격려가 되고 있습니다. Changed hearts: Peru
‘In our community, many things have started to change since we began translating the Bible into our Shapra language,’ translator Guillermo Nochimata said. In this Shapra community, God is transforming people’s lives. There is less fighting and violence, and many are abandoning old customs that were displeasing to God. They are experiencing more peace, unity, and love. Shapra speakers from other communities also want the team to continue translating the Bible. ‘They tell us, “Don't abandon this work, please finish it!” Guillermo said. They long to have the complete Bible in their language, which encourages the team to keep going. ‘We want to finish this work because we know that God is working mightily through His Word,’ Guillermo said. Give thanks to God for the impact that the Scriptures have had on the community. Pray for Guillermo and the team as they continue to work on the translation in partnership with AIDIA.

헌신적인 동역자들과 현지 공동체들: 케냐
케냐성경번역협회는 동역자들과 함께 좋은 관계를 키워가도록 지속적으로 도우시는 하나님께 감사드립니다. 동역자들은 재정적, 사회적, 정서적 지원을 제공해 주었습니다. 이러한 지원을 통해 미전도 종족을 위한 성경 번역이 계속된 것을 인하여 하나님께 감사드립니다. 4월 26일 타나 강 지역의 홀라 타운에서 열린 포코모 신약 성경의 완역과 봉헌, 출간을 인해 감사드립니다. 그리스도의 몸인 교회들이 함께 모여 이 행사를 위해 현지에서기금을 모았습니다. 포코모 지역의 성도들이 자기네 모어로 하나님의 말씀을 받고 크게 기뻐했습니다. 봉헌 행사에 앞서, 공동체가 함께 기도로 하나님의 얼굴을 구했고 하나님은 은혜로 그들의 기도를 듣고 응답하셨습니다. 모든 영광을 하나님께로 올려드립니다.

Committed partners and local communities: Kenya
BTL is thankful to God for the way He has continued to help build relationships with its partners. Partners have provided financial, social, and emotional support. Thank God because this contribution ensures that Bible translation continues on behalf of unreached people groups. Give thanks for the completion, dedication, and launch of the Upper Pokomo New Testament that took place on April 26 in Hola Town, Tana River County. The body of Christ came together and raised funds locally for the occasion. There was immense joy as the Upper Pokomo Christians received the Word of God in their heart language. Before the celebrations, the community took time to seek God’s face in prayer. God graciously heard and answered their prayers. To Him be all the glory..

Training
Skill, knowledge, and experience are crucial elements that can make all the difference when approaching missions in a challenging new setting. Especially when your role is to solve critical logistical problems for workers already there. JAARS provides focused, specialized training that is vital in many different areas for those preparing for work in Bible translation and related ministries. Please pray that God will mightily use our instructors to provide practical, helpful training for those preparing for missions work.
