지난 5 주 동안 매 주 토요일에 진행된 첫걸음선교이야기가 은혜 중에 잘 진행되었음에 감사드립니다! 참가자들은 선교에 대한 부정적인 선입견들이 없어지고, 하나님의 선교를 통해 성경을 바로 깨닫게 되며, 겸손히 하나님의 선교에 동참하고, 더욱 선교적인 삶을 살기로 결단했다고 말했습니다.
6월에도 매 주 주일에 우리는교회에서 첫걸음선교이야기를 진행하게 되는데, 1세와 2세가 함께 하며, 역동적인 하나님의 선교가 디아스포라의 삶의 자리에서 어떻게 이뤄져야 할지를 깨닫고 헌신하는 삶을 살게 되도록 기도해 주세요.
이글스필드교회에서도 지난 3 주 동안 TUS 프로그램을 목회자들과 평신도 리더와 함께 섬겼고, 은혜 중에 잘 마쳤음에 감사드립니다. 이번 주말, 미국 리치몬드에 있는 주예수교회에서 열리는 TUS 프로그램을 위해서도 위와 같은 하나님의 역사가 일어나도록 기도해 주세요

Gyoojun Lee & Jinsook Han: Director of Diaspora Engagement, Canada
We are grateful that Mission 101 (lit. the “First Steps in Missions”) series, held every Saturday over the past five weeks, went well and was filled with God’s grace! Participants shared that their negative preconceptions about missions were dispelled, they gained a deeper understanding of the Bible through God’s mission, and they made the decision to humbly join God’s mission and live a more mission-oriented life.
Every Sunday in June, we will be serving the same program for We Are Church. First-generation and second-generation members will participate together. Please pray that they will gain insight into how God’s dynamic mission should be carried out in the midst of the lives of diaspora, and commit to living dedicated life.
We are grateful that the TUS program held at Eaglesfield Church over the past three weeks, in which pastors and lay leaders participated, was successfully concluded in the grace of God. Please pray that God’s work, as described above, will also take place at the TUS program being held this weekend at Lord Christ Church in Richmond, Virginia.

어린이들을 위한 문해사역과 언어 공동체의 미래

위클리프 캐나다에서 협력하는 성경번역 프로젝트들은 모두 총체적 접근의 선교사역을 하고 있습니다. 그 중에서 특히 어린이들을 위한 사역은 해당 언어 공동체의 미래에 투자하는 일입니다.
나스카피 원주민 공동체에서는 손녀가 글을 읽는 것에 도전받아 자기말을 더 잘하는 할머니가 글 읽기를 배웁니다. 이라시(가명) 언어 공동체에서는 학령기 이전 아동들을 대상으로 문해교실을 연 결과, 아이들이 글을 읽어서 문맹 가정이 하나도 없게 되고, 아이들이 어른들을 도와 글을 읽게 해주고 있습니다. 북부 태국어에서는 자기 말로 성경이야기를 들은 아이들이 그대로 그 이야기를 친구들과 가족들에게 전해주고 있습니다.
캐나다 원주민들로부터 아시아 및 아프리카 지역의 많은 민족들 가운데, 계속해서 어린이들이 자기말을 적극적으로 사용하여 민족들의 미래가 있도록, 또한 열악한 상황에서도 자신들의 언어와 문화를 발전시켜 나갈 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Literacy for Children and the Future of Language Communities

All of the Bible translation projects that Wycliffe Canada partners with are engaged in holistic missionary work. Among these, ministry focused on children is an investment in the future of the language community.
In the Naskapi community in northern Quebec, a grandmother who speaks her own language fluently, inspired by her granddaughter’s reading, is learning to read Cree alphabet letters herself. In the Irashi (pseudonym) language community, preschool literacy classes for children have enabled every child to read. As a result, there are no illiterate families in the community, and the children are now helping adults learn to read. In Northern Thai-speaking communities, children who have heard Bible stories in their own language are retelling them to friends and family.
Please pray that children among the many peoples of Asia and Africa, as well as Canada’s Indigenous peoples, will continue to actively use their native languages to ensure the future of their peoples, and that they will be able to develop their languages and cultures even in difficult circumstances.

성경 번역 선교 기금 모음을 위한 자전거 일주: 교회 협력, 캐나다
위클리프 캐나다에서는 작년에 파일럿 프로젝트로 캘거리에서 위니펙까지 성경번역 선교를 위한 기금 마련 자전거 여행을 실시했고, 캐나다 국내 및 국제적으로 많은 성경번역 프로젝트를 위해 3 만 불의 헌금을 모금했습니다. 풍성한 나눔을 해주신 분들과 교회들에게 감사드리며, 올 해에는 비씨 주의 화이트 락에서 알버타 주의 캘거리까지 구간에 자전거 일주를 통해, 보안지역에 있는 성경번역 프로젝트들을 위한 모금 운동을 벌이며, 여러분의 기도와 동참을 부탁드립니다.
- 하나님께서 자전거 일주 참여자와 이를 돕는 스탭들을 보내주시고, 일주 내내 건강과 안전을 허락해 주시도록
- 참가자들이 서로 의미 있는 관계를 형성하고 일주 구간에서 동참해주시는 교회들과 위클리프와의 좋은 동역의 관계를 이루는 데 기여하도록
- 하나님께서 이 모금 운동을 통해 가장 도전이 되는 보안 지역들에서 진행 중인 성경번역 프로젝트들을 통해 하나님의 말씀이 전해지고, 번역된 말씀을 통해 믿는 현지인 신자들을 힘있게 하시도록
- 자전거 일주 참가자들이 하나님이 주시는 힘과 기쁨으로 가득하여 록키산맥의 험한 지형들을 잘 통과하며, 모든 구간에서 페달을 밟을 때마다 하나님께 드리는 예배의 자전거 일주가 되도록
- 그 동안 비전 2025를 통해 하나님께서 성취하게 해주신 일들에 기초하여 이번 자전거 일주를 통해 많은 분들과 교회들이 더욱 풍성하게 드림으로 예년보다 더 많은 헌금이 모아지도록

Riding for Bible translation: Church engagement, Canada
[ Cyclists from the 2025 pilot ride between Calgary, AB and Winnipeg, MB]
Wycliffe Canada has immense gratitude for the local church and the generosity of its Canadian partners, whose support is helping Bible translation projects to flourish in Canada and worldwide. Building on a successful 2025 pilot ride that raised over $30,000, Wycliffe Canada is launching the Bible for All 2026 Bike Ride. From 5-18 July, a team will cycle from White Rock, British Columbia to Calgary, Alberta, to raise funds for sensitive translation projects around the globe. Pray that:
- God will call riders and support staff to join the journey, and for his hand of protection for everyone while on the road.
- Trip participants will build meaningful relationships with one another and foster deep connections with churches along the route.
- God will provide for the sensitive translation projects this ride supports, that his Word would reach and strengthen believers in the world’s most challenging contexts.
- The riders would be filled with God's strength and joy through difficult terrain, using every kilometre as an act of worship.
- This ride will build on the success of 2025, and that this journey will inspire many individuals and churches to give generously to surpass the funds raised last year.

위클리프와 함께 하는 비전여행: 교회 협력, 캐나다
지난 3월에 위클리프 태국과 함께 진행된 비전 여행에서 적어도 3 명 이상의 참가자들이 자신들의 경력과 전공 분야에서 구체적으로 성경번역 선교에 헌신할 마음을 갖게 되었고, 캘거리의 한 협력교회의 리더들은 위클리프와의 기존의 협력 관계를 훨씬 더 차원 높은 차원으로 발전시키겠다고 다짐했습니다.
현재 젊은이들을 중심으로한 비전여행 팀에 카메룬에서 마지막 주간을 보내고 곧 돌아오게 됩니다. 지난 주간 동안 카메룬의 음부다 지역에 있는 엔돕 다중언어 프로젝트 센터를 방문하여, 성경이야기 구연식 번역 웍샵에 직접 참여하고, 참가자들의 전공을 살려 현지어로 성경 노래 작곡하기, 센터의 배너 제작을 돕고, 현지의 오디성경 녹음 부쓰 업그레이드 등의 사역을 했습니다. 현지인 가정에서 하숙하며 교제하는 경험도 하고 수도 야훈데에 있는 SIL 센터로 돌아왔습니다. 아래와 같이 함께 기도해 주세요.
- 하나님께서 이들이 캐나다로 돌아오는 길에 안전을 지켜주시고,
- 지난 3월에 있었던 태국 비전 여행 팀들에게서 처럼 이번 카메룬 비전여행 팀도 각자를 향한 하나님의 부르심에 적극적으로 반응하고, 더욱 선교적인 삶을 살아가게 되도록 기도해 주세요.
- 또한 위클리프 캐나다의 교회협력 사역이 하나님의 나라를 위한 진실한 동역이 되도록 기도해 주세요.

Vision Trips held by Wycliffe:Church engagement, Canada
As a result of the vision trip held last March in collaboration between Wycliffe Thai Foundation and Wycliffe Canada, at least three participants decided to dedicate themselves specifically to Bible translation missions within their respective careers and majoring fields of study, and leaders from a partner church in Calgary pledged to take their existing partnership with Wycliffe to a whole new level.
The vision trip team of young people traveled to Mbouda, Cameroon, to support the Ndop cluster translation centre. During their stay, the team participated firsthand in an Oral Bible Storytelling (OBS) workshop, where they assisted local language representatives with recording, typing, and back-translating scripture stories. They also utilized their unique skill sets to compose local-language scripture songs, design a banner for the centre, and assist with physical tasks like varnishing a new recording booth. After experiencing local hospitality through community homestays and church services, the team returned to the SIL Center in Yaoundé.
Please pray that God will keep them safe on their journey back to Canada, and that, just as with the Thailand Vision Trip team last March, the members of this Cameroon Vision Trip team will actively respond to God’s calling on their lives and live even more mission-oriented lives. Please also pray that Wycliffe Canada’s church partnership ministry will be a true partnership for the Kingdom of God.

11 개월 과정의 잘스 펠로우 과정을 마지는 참가자들이 삶과 사역의 다음 단계를 놓고 인도하심을 구하는데, 하나님께서 그들에게 분별의 지혜를 주시도록
어린이 사역을 위한 스탭과 자원봉사자가 급히 채워져서, 아이들이 있는 많은 가족들이 잘스에서 잘 사역하고 훈련받을 수 있도록

Weekly prayer with JAARS
Praise God that the hangar renovation in Yaounde, Cameroon, is nearly complete. Thank Him for protecting the workers and for the absence of accidents.
Pray for discernment for the Fellows completing their year of service here at JAARS, as they seek guidance for their next steps.
Pray for the urgent need for additional staff and volunteers at our MK station to provide childcare for the many families with children who are serving and training here.
