한국성경번역선교회를 위한 9기 영어 튜터링 프로그램 성료
지난 3월 18일부터 시작했던 한국성경번역선교회(지비티) 사역자들의 영어 능력 향상을 위한 튜터링 프로그램 9기가 하나님의 은혜로 5월 27일 수료합니다. 한국 참가자들의 영어 능력이 향상되고 있음과 캐나다 교사들 역시 한국 문화와 GBT 멤버들의 사역에 대해 서로 배우게 되었음에 감사드립니다. 무엇보다 선후배 선교사들 사이에 삶과 사역, 그리고 여러 도전 가운데서 각자 속한 자신의 문화와 사역 대상의 문화 속에서 역사하는 하나님의 은혜를 나눌 수 있음에 감사드립니다.
• 협력을 통해 두 단체가 더욱 성숙해 가고, 사역자들도 다문화 사역 상황에서 더 신실한 주님의 사람들도 잘 섬기게 되도록
• 두 단체 간에 지속적인 협력과 프로그램의 발전을 위해
• 이를 위해 힘써 섬기는 양국 코디네이터 팀 (폴 마이즈너, 김뵈뵈, 이규준, 윤기태 선교사)을 위해서도 함께 기도해 주세요

The Ninth Season of the English tutoring program for GBT completion
By God's grace, the ninth season of the tutoring program to improve the English language skills of GBT (Global Bible Translators, Wycliffe Korea) workers, which began on March 18, will end on May 27. We are thankful that the participants' English skills have improved and that the Canadian tutors have learned more about Korean culture and the ministries of these workers. Most of all, we are grateful that the senior and junior missionaries have shared their lives and have seen God's grace at work in their own culture and in the culture of those they serve, even amid the challenges of ministry and daily life.
• Please pray that, through this partnership, both organizations will continue to grow and mature and that they will empower their workers to serve the Lord’s people more faithfully in multicultural ministry settings
• Pray also for the ongoing collaboration between the two Wycliffe Alliance organizations to develop the program
• and for the hard-working team of bilateral coordinators (Paul Meisner, Phoebe Kim, Gyoojun Lee, and Daniel Yoon)

이규준/한진숙 선교사: 디아스포라 교회 협력, 캐나다
심플리 모빌라이징 미국 팀 리더들과 함께 버지니아 주 리치몬드에 있는 주예수교회에서 TUS 프로그램을 잘 섬길 수 있었음에 감사드립니다. 오늘, 주일 청소년부 예배 때에는 학생들에게 삶의 헌신을 도전하는 메시를 나눌 예정입니다.
• 선교적 교회를 지양하는 지역교회들과 이를 돕는 선교단체들과의 협력이 더욱 활발해지도록
• 또한 교회가 협력하는 단기 사역지와 교회가 함께 복이 됨으로 복을 누리는 귀한 은혜가 넘치도록
• 이 선교사는 이번 주간에 캘거리와 밴쿠버를 방문하며 팀사역 협의와 훈련, 교회들과의 교제와 협력을 이어갈 예정입니다. 주님이 길을 여시는 복된 발걸음 되도록 기도해 주세요

Gyoojun Lee & Jinsook Han: Director of Diaspora Engagement, Canada
We are grateful that, together with the Simply Mobilizing U.S. team leaders, Gyoojun served well at Lord Jesus Korean Church in Richmond, Virginia, by leading the Unfinished Story for their youth and adults in preparation for their short-term mission trip this summer. He will also share a message with the youth during the youth group’s Sunday worship service, inviting them to commit their lives to Christ.
• Please pray that cooperation between local churches striving to be missional and the mission organizations supporting them will deepen
• Pray that the precious grace of mutual blessing—where both the church and the short-term mission field it partners with are blessed—will abound
• Gyoojun will visit Calgary and Vancouver this week to continue discussions and training on team ministry and to foster fellowship and collaboration with churches in those areas. Please pray that these steps will be blessed as the Lord opens the door to partnership

동부 라와* 프로젝트: 성경 번역, 동남아시아 보안 지역 (배포하거나 온라인에 게시하지 말아 주세요)
사역팀은 연례 윌랑카 문화 축제를 통해 라와어 문해 자료에 현지인들이 더 많이 접근할 수 있게 돕는 것을 목표로 삼고, 이를 통해 학교나 일상에서 더 많은 사람들이 모어로 읽고 쓰는 법을 배우고자 하는 관심을 불러일으키고자 했습니다.
• 동부 라와 언어 성경번역 사역을 위해 헌신하는 로지 선교사를 위해 기도해 주셔서 감사합니다. 3월 중순에 심박동 수술 후 잘 회복하고 있음에 감사드립니다,
• 베드로전/후서 팀 점검을 잘 마치고 마을 점검 테스트를 진행할 준비가 되었음에 감사드립니다
• 초벌 번역에 참여하지 않은, 자격을 갖춘 세 명 이상의 마을 점검 테스트 참가자가 잘 동원되도록 기도해 주세요.
• 그렉과 로지 선교사는 7월 한 달 동안 태국을 방문하여 동부 라와 민족과 번역 팀을 섬길 예정이고, 번역 자문위원 양성 워크숍에도 참석할 예정입니다. 팀원들도 참석할 수 있게 되었고, 야고보서는 번역 자문위원 점검을 받을 준비가 되었습니다!

Eastern Lawa* Project: Bible translation in a sensitive area of Asia (do not forward or post this online)
Through the annual Wilanka cultural festival, the Eastern Lawa team aimed to increase exposure to written Lawa-language materials. And the hope was to generate interest from schools or other places where people want to learn to read and write their own language.
• Thank you for praying for Rosie; she had an ablation surgery in mid-March and has recovered well from that.
• Thank you for praying for the team as they work through a team check for 1st and 2nd Peter. The books have been checked, and they are ready for community testing.
• Pray for three or more people for the community testing who haven't been involved in the drafting and who are available and able to answer questions.
• Greg and Rosie hope to spend July in Thailand to continue serving the Eastern Lawa people and the translation team. The Bloks will also attend the workshop on translation consultant development. The team will be able to attend, and the book of James is ready for consultant checking!

위클리프캐나다는 캐나다 교회와 성경 번역에서 교회가 감당하는 중추적인 역할을 깊이 신뢰합니다. 캐나다 교회와 열방의 교회를 하나님의 사명에서 없어서는 안 될 동반자로 여기며, 관계를 구축하고 일치를 도모하고자 노력합니다. 이제는 더 이상 “우리가 그들에게”가 아니라 “우리가 그들과 함께”라는 자세로, 소수민족 사람들이 성경을 통해 삶이 변화되는 것을 보기 위해 협력하고 있습니다. 최근에 캘거리 센트 스트릿 처치의 성도들이 태국의 한 교회를 방문하여 지속적인 후원이 가져온 변화를 직접 목격했습니다. 그들은 성경 번역이 사람들의 삶을 실질적이고 지속적인 방식으로 변화시키는 모습을 보고 깊은 감동을 받았습니다. 이번 방문을 계기로 교회는 헌신을 새롭게 다짐했으며, 참가자들은 각자의 고유한 은사와 재능을 통해 전 세계 선교 동역자들을 어떻게 섬길 수 있을지 모색하기 시작했습니다. 단순한 단기 선교로 시작된 일이 더 깊은 참여의 계기가 되었습니다. 이것이 바로 위클리프캐나다가 교회와 함께 세워나가는 협력의 핵심입니다. 관계, 겸손, 그리고 하나됨에 뿌리를 두고 함께 하는 하나님의 선교입니다.

The power of the local church: Canada
Wycliffe Canada believes deeply in the Canadian church—and in its vital role in Bible translation. It sees the Canadian Church and the global Church as essential partners in God’s mission and seeks to build relationships and foster unity. It’s no longer about “us to them,” but “us with them,” working together to see lives transformed through Scripture. Members of a partner church recently visited a church in Thailand and saw firsthand the impact of their ongoing support. They were deeply moved to witness how Bible translation is changing lives in real and lasting ways. Following the trip, the church renewed its commitment, and several participants began exploring how their unique gifts and skills could serve their global partners. What began as a visit became a catalyst for deeper engagement. This is at the heart of what Wycliffe Canada is building together: a shared mission rooted in relationship, humility, and unity

성경 활용 미디어 도구 및 훈련: 태국, 전 세계
5월 18일부터 21일까지 태국에서 EMDC 2026이 개최되었습니다. EMDC*는 성경 번역 및 성경 활용 사역에 참여하는 사역 단체와 개인들을 연결하고, 성경과의 상호작용을 촉진하기 위한 최신 커뮤니케이션 및 미디어 활용 교육을 통해 참가자들을 훈련시킵니다. 또한 기기, 도구, 전략에 대한 아이디어를 교류할 수 있는 기회도 제공합니다. 주제에는 구전 문화, 스토리텔링, 영상 및 오디오 제작, 애니메이션, 성경 앱 개발, 음악 제작, 번역 소프트웨어, AI 도구 등이 포함됩니다. 컨퍼런스 전후로 (5월 13일~16일까지, 그리고 23일~26일까지) 훈련의 기회가 제공됩니다. 820명 이상이 등록했으며 수백 개의 단체들이 참여하고 있습니다. 댈러스국제대학교는 일부 훈련 과정에 대한 학점을 인정해 줍니다. 다음을 위하여 기도해 주세요:

Scripture engagement media tools and training: Thailand, Global
From 18-21 May, EMDC 2026 was held in Thailand. EMDC* connects and equips ministries and individuals involved in Bible translation and Scripture engagement through cutting-edge training on relevant communication and media use to foster interaction with Scripture. It also offers opportunities to exchange ideas about devices, tools, and strategies. Topics include orality, storytelling, video and audio creation, animation, Scripture app development, music production, translation software, AI tools, and much more. Pre- and post-conference training opportunities are offered 13-16 and 23-26 May. Over 820 people have registered, and hundreds of organizations are involved. Dallas International University is offering college credit for some training tracks. Please pray for:
• Protection and travel safety for all participants and session leaders
• That God will cover the conference with spiritual protection
• For connections and relationships that will bear much fruit in Bible translation and Scripture engagement movements worldwide
• That all who attend will be equipped in practical ways to better serve in their contexts

Praise God that the JAARS staff who travelled to Brazil and Peru safely completed their trip in support of the Ticuna language work and to provide boat training for the captain and crew
Ask God for approval of a full certificate of occupancy for the Avery County airport building before Mountain Week in June, when our Pre-field Orientation attendees will train
Pray for the safe and timely arrival of a 25-foot container, prepared and shipped by our Shipping Department to PNG
