박요섭/조선향 선교사: 성경번역, 파푸아뉴기니
오랜 동안 박 선교사 부부와 카니누아 번역팀이 애써 오던 신약 27권 중 번역이 어려운 책 중 한 권인 히브리서 초벌 번역이 드디어 완성되었습니다. 히브리서는 구약 성경을 인용한 부분이 많아 구약에 대한 지식이 필요하고, 깊이 있는 내용인 만큼 이해하기 어려운 말씀도 있습니다. 모어 번역가인 사이몬, 월포드와 엘리자베스와 함께 한 구절, 한 구절을 기도하며 번역하여, 마침내 13장 303절로 이루어진 히브리서 초벌 번역을 마칠 수 있었습니다. 사이몬과 윌포드 형제도 히브리서 한 장씩 번역을 마칠 때마다 오직 하나님의 은혜임을 고백했습니다. 기도해 주세요.
• 번역팀 모두가 번역하며 배운 하브리서 말씀을 가정과 교회에서 풍성히 나눌 수 있도록
• 카니누와 번역팀이 날마다 성령 충만하여 삶으로 말씀을 번역하도록
• 그동안 초벌 번역한 서신서들(빌립보서, 골로새서, 갈라디아서, 로마서, 히브리서)의 마을 점검이 잘 마무리되도록

Joseph & Joyce Park: Bible translation, PNG
After a long period of hard work by the Parks along with the Kaninuwa translation team, the draft translation of Hebrews—one of the most challenging books among the 27 books of the New Testament—has finally been completed. Praise the Lord! Because Hebrews contains many quotations from the Old Testament, knowledge of the Old Testament is necessary, and because the content is so profound, some passages can be difficult to understand. Together with Simon, Wolford, and Elizabeth—all mother-tongue translators—we prayed as we translated each verse and finally completed the first draft of Hebrews, consisting of 13 chapters and 303 verses. Simon and Wilford also confessed that it was solely by God’s grace that they finished translating each chapter of Hebrews. Please pray with us.
• Please pray that all members of the translation team will be able to share the message from the Book of Hebrews—which they have learned through the translation process—abundantly in their homes and churches.
• Pray that the Kaninuwa translation team will be filled with the Holy Spirit every day so that they may translate the Word through their lives.
• Please pray that the community checking of the epistles for which draft translations have been completed (Philippians, Colossians, Galatians, Romans, and Hebrews) will be successfully concluded.

한국성경번역선교회 (GBT) 사역자들을 위한 영어 프로그램 - 제10기
한국성경번역선교회 사역자들의 영어 능력 향상을 위한 영어 프로그램 10기에 교사 8명과 학생 16명이 참여하여 지난 9월 9일에 잘 시작되었음에 감사드립니다! 11월 18일까지 위클리프 캐나다의 자원봉사자들과 은퇴 및 현직 선교사들로 구성된 여러 명의 교사와 GBT 사역자들이 총 10번의 세션을 진행하게 됩니다. 다음과 같이 함께 기도해 주세요.
단순한 언어 능력 향상에 그치지 않고, 서로를 통해 말씀하시는 하나님의 음성을 듣고 치유와 회복과 사역의 지혜를 얻도록
이 프로그램을 통해 한인 참가자들의 영어 구사 능력이 향상되고, 다문화 사역팀 안에서 보다 나은 역할을 감당함으로써 성경 번역 선교에 더 큰 진전이 있도록 기도해 주세요.

English Program for workers of Global Bible Translators, Season 10
We are very grateful to God for the hopeful beginning of the tenth season of the English tutoring program for GBT workers, a collaboration between Wycliffe Canada and Global Bible Translators (GBT), running from September 9 to November 18, by His grace. We have 8 tutors and 16 students in this season and will appreciate your prayers for this program.
Please pray that God grants the coordinators (Paul Meisner, Gyoojun Lee, Phoebe Kim & Daniel Yoon) wisdom and enthusiasm, and that the sessions are successful,and significantly impact the field,
and lead to more effective Bible translation ministries within multicultural team settings.

많은 분들이 동참하시고, 조력자들의 좋은 준비와 팀워크, 코스를 통한 선교적 삶의 결과들이 있도록 함께 기도해 주세요.
13일 주일 오후에 있는 조력자 훈련 및 사전 모임을 통해, 좋은 팀웍이 다져지고 동원 운동에 잘 기여하게 되도록 기도해 주세요.

Kairos course for Korean-Canadian Churches/GTA
The Kairos Course for Korean Canadian churches in the Greater Toronto Area will be held every Thursday from September 17 to November 5 at Vaughan Community Church (Rev. Young-Min Koh, senior pastor).
Please pray that a good number of people will join, that the facilitators will be thoroughly prepared and work well together, and that the course will bear fruit in the form of a missional life for all participants. Pray also for the good team work for the facilitation team as they will have and pre-course meeting for training and preparation, on Sunday, Sep. 13. 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 나스카피 프로젝트
빌 선교사가 다음과 같이 사역 소식을 전해 왔습니다. “부부 번역팀인 실라스와 수잔이 번역 작업을 가속화하고 있습니다. 지난 2월, 그들은 성경에서 가장 긴 책인 예레미야서의 1,364절을 번역하고 역번역하는 작업을 시작했는데, 이제 이를 모두 마쳤고 곧바로 예레미야애가서로 넘어갔습니다. 이는 매우 고무적인 성과입니다! 현재의 진행 속도를 고려할 때, 앞으로 약 2년 정도 더 작업하면 성경 전체의 초벌 번역을 완성할 수 있을 것입니다!” 나스카피 팀의 사역과 그들을 위해 베푸시는 하나님의 공급하심에 감사드립니다. 다음과 같이 기도해 주세요.
• 나스카피 공동체 가운데 마음을 열어 주시고, 말씀에 대한 갈망이 계속되도록
• 진행 중인 사역 목표들을 위해: 민수기에 대한 자문위원 점검, 레위기의 초벌 번역 및 역번역, 신명기에 대한 팀 점검, 사사기의 조판 및 번역 위원회 점검이 순조롭도록

Indigenous Initiatives: Naskapi Project
Bill Jancewicz shares: “Husband-and-wife translation team members Silas & Susan have accelerated their translation work. Last February, they began translating and back-translating the 1364 verses of the book of Jeremiah, the longest book in the Bible, which they have now finished, and they have moved right on to Lamentations. This is a very encouraging milestone! At their current pace, it is possible to have the whole Bible finished in first draft in about two more years of work!” Thank God for the Naskapi Team's work and God's provision for them.
• Please pray for open hearts and a continued hunger for the Word of God in Naskapi.
• Pray for the upcoming goals: consultant checking for Numbers, the first draft and back translation for Leviticus, team checking for Deuteronomy, and typesetting and committee review for Judges.

WGA: Wycliffe Global Alliance Communication Workshop - Africa Area will be held in Nairobi, 2-6 November 2026. Please pray for the remaining funds needed to run this workshop.
Wycliffe Singapore: Pray for the media team as they plan and develop various communications materials. They have already hit a snag on a movie project because the key subject was injured a few days ago. Please also pray for the person who was hurt so that she can recover well with no complications.
Wycliffe Romania: On this day, Lord, we thank You that the Roma people testify that the Bible in Standard Romani helps them understand the biblical context and supports the development of their language.

Weekly prayer with JAARS
Pray for ongoing preparations for JAARS Day on October 24. Ask God to provide the volunteers needed for this open house and to bring many people to learn about JAARS.
Pray for our Africa Regional Director's team as they seek authorization from the Ministry of Territorial Administration to mobilize resources from churches in Cameroon.
Praise God for all who are heading out to international fields of service. Pray for God's provision, guidance, and safe travels.
