한국성경번역선교회 (GBT) 사역자들을 위한 영어 프로그램 - 제10기
한국성경번역선교회 사역자들의 영어 능력 향상을 위한 영어 프로그램 10기가 9월 9일부터 11월 18일까지 진행됩니다. 위클리프 캐나다의 자원봉사자들과 은퇴 및 현직 선교사들로 구성된 여러 명의 교사와 GBT 사역자들이 총 10번의 세션을 진행하게 됩니다. 이번 기간에는 이전보다 더 많은 현지 사역지의 선교사들이 등록되어, 준비와 진행에 더 세심하게 배려해야 합니다.
- 개강일까지 준비하는 양국의 코디네이터들(폴 마이즈너, 이규준, 김뵈뵈, 윤기태 선교사)에게 하나님께서 지혜와 열정을 주시고, 이번 시즌에도 모든 세션이 잘 진행되도록 기도해 주세요.
- 또한 이 프로그램을 통해 한인 참가자들의 영어 구사 능력이 향상되고, 다문화 사역팀 안에서 보다 나은 역할을 감당함으로써 성경 번역 선교에 더 큰 진전이 있도록 기도해 주세요.

English Program for workers of Global Bible Translators, Season 10
We are very grateful to God for the hopeful beginning of the tenth season of the English tutoring program for GBT workers, a collaboration between Wycliffe Canada and Global Bible Translators (GBT), running from September 9 to November 18, by His grace. Since more field workers have registered for this session than in the past, we need to pay even closer attention to the preparations and to the program’s execution.
- Please pray that God grants the coordinators (Paul Meisner, Gyoojun Lee, Phoebe Kim & Daniel Yoon) wisdom and enthusiasm, and that the sessions are successful and significantly impact the field,
- and lead to more effective Bible translation ministries within multicultural team settings.

Kairos course for Korean-Canadian Churches/GTA
The Kairos Course for Korean Canadian churches in the Greater Toronto Area will be held every Thursday from September 17 to November 5 at Vaughan Community Church (Rev. Young-Min Koh, senior pastor).

깔띠다야 아카데미
인도네시아에 있는 성경번역이 필요한 많은 언어들에 대해 여러 단체와 교단에서 성경번역 참여 의사를 밝혔지만, 실제로 양질의 성경번역 사역을 진행할 준비가 되어 있지 않은 경우가 많습니다. 위클리프 국제 연맹의 인도네시아 단체인 깔띠다야에서는 이런 필요에 부응하기 위해 현지인 성경번역 사역자 육성 프로젝트를 시작했고, 위클리프 캐나다는 이에 기도와 헌금으로 동역하기로 했습니다.
- 헌금 후원에 감사드리며, 또한 교회와 여러 기도 동역자들이 동참하는 성경 번역 운동이 되도록 함께 기도해 주세요.
- 더 긴밀한 동역을 위해, 이규준 선교사가 올 11월 말에 열리는 아시아-태평양 지역 각국 위클리프 협력 회의에 참석하며 깔띠다야 대표진과 만나고 또한 이 프로그램에 참여하는 현지인 사역자들과 만날 예정입니다. 모든 일정과 만남을 위해 기도해 주세요.

Kartidaya Academy
Although various organizations and denominations have expressed willingness to participate in Bible translation for the many languages in Indonesia that need it, in many cases they are not prepared to carry out high-quality Bible translation. To address this need, Kaltidaya—the Indonesian Wycliffe organization of Wycliffe Global Alliance—has launched a project to train local Bible translators, and Wycliffe Canada has committed to partnering with them through prayer and financial support.
- We are very thankful to God for providing us with the donor for this project and ask that you join us in prayer so that this Bible translation movement may be supported by churches and many prayer partners from Canada.
- To foster closer partnership, Gyoojun plans to attend the Wycliffe Regional Conference for Asia-Pacific countries at the end of November, where he will meet with the Karditaya leaders and participants of this program. Please pray for the good planning and for these meetings.

원주민 성경 번역 운동: 아니시니니이모윈 (오지 크리)
온타리오 북부 킹피셔 레이크의 아니시니니모윈 팀의 프로젝트 조력자로 섬기는 매튜 윈저 선교사가 다음과 같이 소식을 전해왔습니다. “요한복음은 이제 출간을 앞둔 마지막 단계에 접어들었습니다! 지난 5월, 위클리프 번역 자문위원인 메기 선교사와 함께 마지막 부분들을 점검했고, 이어서 장로님들과 함께 점검 과정도 마쳤습니다. 다음 단계로, 제시와 함께 이 책을 녹음하고 철저한 수정 작업을 진행할 예정입니다.”
기도해 주세요:
- 이 지역 사회에 계속되고 있는 영적 억압에 잘 맞설 수 있도록
- 하나님의 이끄심으로 현지인들이 자기 언어로 하나님의 말씀과 씨름하도록
- 제시와 폐에 삼출액이 차 있는 그의 어머니 카니나를 위해, 또한 손자녀들을 위해 기도해 주세요. 이런 상황에서도 카니나는 여전히 정기적으로 번역 일을 돕고 있습니다. 또한 젊은 사역자 이본과 그녀의 자녀들을 위해 기도해 주세요.

Indigenous Initiatives: Anihshininiimowin ᐊᓂᐦᔑᓂᓃᒧᐏᐣ (Oji-Cree)
Matthew Windsor, project facilitator with the Anihshininiimowin team at Kingfisher Lake in Northern Ontario, shares: “The Gospel of John is now in the final phase before publication! In May, we reviewed the last chapters with our Wycliffe translation consultant, Meg, and soon afterward we finished reviewing with the elders. Next, we’ll record the book with Jessie and give it a thorough proofread.”

• against the ongoing spiritual oppression affecting these communities.
• that God will draw people in to engage with His word in their language.
• for Jessie, Yvonne, and their families. Jessie would like prayer for her mother, Kanina, who has fluid in her lungs and continues to regularly help with translation. Also pray for their kids and grandkids.

For more vigorous prayer for the Bible translation movement: Wycliffe Global Alliance
Over the past six and a half years, Wycliffe Global Alliance has shared prayer requests from its member organizations in its current format. To support staff recruitment and the development of a better format, WGA's Streams of Prayer will be on hold for now.
• Please pray for Phil Prior and his team in the Communications Department, asking God to grant them wisdom to achieve positive results that lead to even greater prayer partnership.

Weekly prayer with JAARS
Continue praying for our Partner Representatives as they reach out to new partners inspired by the very positive CBN stories about JAARS' work in Papua New Guinea.
Thank God the 4x4 and motorcycle training that JAARS staff provided for Carter Center leaders in Zanzibar went well.
Praise God that the L4 helicopter was loaded into its container and departed for Papua New Guinea. Pray it arrives safely and clears customs without issue.
