캘거리 위클리프 중보 기도 모임
캘거리 기도팀은 한인 디아스포라 교회협력 팀이 2008년에 캘거리한인장로교회에서 전교인 훈련 프로그램중 하나로 섬겼던 “첫걸음 선교 이야기” 를 기점으로 시작되었습니다.
유민주 장로 부부를 중심으로 소수의 가정들이 2009년부터 정기 기도모임으로 시작한 이 기도팀이 금년에 16년차를 기념하고 감사하는 모임에 (전체 10가정 중) 8 가정이 참석하였습니다. 지난 펜데믹을 겪으며 모임의 동력이 떨어졌다가 최근에 2 가정이 합류하면서 다시 한번 성경번역 선교에 대한 열정과 기도를 통한 선교 사명을 재다짐했습니다.
앞으로 잘스 선교 훈련 참가와 해외 성경번역 사역 현장 방문의 비전도 나누는 기회가 되었습니다. 이 기도 모임을 통하여 계속해서 선교의 대한 열정과 비전이 확장되도록, 더 많은 사람들이 성경 번역을 위한 기도 모임에 동참하게 되도록 기도해 주세요.

Calgary Korean Prayer Group for Wycliffe Canada
In 2008, the Korean Diaspora Engagement Team served “Mission 101” at Calgary Korean Presbyterian Church as part of a missions training program for all church members. This event was the catalyst for the prayer group, which began in 2009 as a regular prayer meeting with a small number of families led by Elder Enerst Yoo. The prayer team members, eight families (out of 10 families in total), gathered recently to celebrate their 16th anniversary. The prayer team somehow lost momentum during the pandemic. Still, with the recent addition of 2 families, the team members reaffirmed their passion for Bible translation ministries and their mission of partnering through prayers. This was an opportunity to share the vision of participating in the upcoming JAARS missions training program and visiting overseas Bible translation fields as well. Please pray that this prayer meeting will continue to expand with passion and vision for missions. pray also that more people will join this prayer meeting for Bible translation.

캐나다 내 무슬림들을 위한 사역 단체인 Loving Muslims Together 에서 공유하는, 무슬림을 위한 전세계 기도운동 10/10 기도제목입니다. 주변의 무슬림 이웃과의 사랑과 복음 나눔을 위해 기도해 주세요. 아울러 위클리프에서 현재 진행 중인 중앙아시아, 아프리카, 동남아시아 등 세계 여러 지역에서 무슬림권 언어 민족들을 위한 성경번역 프로젝트를 위해 특별히 기도하는 기간이 되시길 빕니다.

30 Days of Prayer for Muslims in Canada
The 10/10 Global Prayer Initiative is a worldwide prayer movement for Muslims, and Loving Muslims Together in Canada shared the prayer themes during Ramadan. Please pray that we Christians love and share the gospel with our Muslim neighbors. We also hope this will be a special prayer time for the Bible translation projects for Muslim-speaking peoples in various parts of the world, including Central Asia, Africa, and Southeast Asia, which are currently underway at Wycliffe.

박요섭 / 조선향 선교사: 파푸아뉴기니 카니누와 종족 성경 번역
지난 주간에 있었던 “카니누와 구약 파노라마 성경” 봉헌식이 은혜가운데 잘 마쳤음을 인하여 하나님께 영광과 감사를 올려드립니다. 번역팀에게 지혜를 더해 주셔서, 진행중인 데살로니가 전후서, 골로새서, 에베소서, 빌립보서를 번역할 때 잘 집중해서 연구하고 공부할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 현지인 번역 조력자들인 잭, 래비, 사이몬, 프리실라가 그 동안 여러 번역 훈련 과정에 참여하면서 배운 내용들을 가정에서, 교회에서, 그리고 또래 그룹에서 나누고 가르칠 기회가 주어지도록 기도해 주세요. 박 선교사 부부를 비룻한 카니누와 프로젝트 팀원 모두가 영육간에 강건하여 맡은 책무들을 은혜로 잘 감당하도록 기도해 주세요.

Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea (PNG)
We give glory and thanks to God for the successfully carried-out dedication ceremony for the “Kaninuwa Old Testament Panorama” last week. Please pray for the translation team to be granted wisdom so they can focus on and study the ongoing translations of 1 & 2 Thessalonians, Colossians, Ephesians, and Philippians. Pray for the local translators, Jack, Levi, Simon, and Priscilla, that they may share and teach what they have learned from participating in various translation training courses at home, in church, and in peer groups. Also, pray for Joseph and Joyce, as well as all the members of the Kaninuwa project team, that they will be strong in body and spirit and able to fulfill their ministry with His grace.

성경 번역의 중추적 역할: 가나
성경 번역의 중심에는 사람이 있습니다. 가나성경번역 및 언어연구소는 수년 동안 이 사명에 시간과 기술을 바친 선교사들의 기여로 큰 혜택을 받았습니다. 오늘날, 현지에 남아 활동하는 선교사들은 소수에 불과하고, 대부분의 사역은 훈련받은 가나 전문가들이 수행하고 있습니다. 여기에는 전국적으로 사역을 펼치고 있는 성경 번역, 성경 활용 사역자들과, 성경번역 자문위원 등이 있습니다.
연구소의 많은 번역자문위원들이 가나를 넘어 세계 여러 곳에서 전문성을 발휘하고 서비스를 제공한다는 사실에 감사드립니다. 실제로, 사람들은 선교를 추진하는 일꾼이든, 재정 후원자가 되든, 성경 번역의 중추적인 역할을 감당하고 있습니다.
이 중요한 일을 지속하고 성장시키기 위해, 연구소는 재정적 기부, 현물 기부, 또는 기타 관련 후원 방식을 통해 성경 번역을 지원할 수 있는 5,000명의 동역팀 네트워크를 구축하는 것을 목표로 하고 있습니다. 이 계획의 성공을 위해 기도해 주세요.

People, the backbone of Bible translation: Ghana
People remain central to Bible translation. Over the years, GILLBT has benefited greatly from the contributions of expatriates who dedicated their time and skills to this mission. Today, while only a few expatriates remain active in the field, most of the work is done by trained Ghanaian professionals. These include translators, Scripture engagement workers, and consultants leading nationwide programs. Thank God that many GILLBT’s consultants extend their expertise beyond Ghana and offer services in other parts of the world. Indeed, people remain the backbone of Bible translation—whether as the workforce driving the mission or as funders supporting the work. To sustain and grow this critical work, GILLBT aims to raise a network of 5,000 partners who can support Bible translation through financial contributions, in-kind donations, or other relevant forms of assistance. Pray for the success of this initiative.

다른 사람들이 하나님의 말씀을 접할 수 있도록 돕는 일: 남아프리카
위클리프남아공에는 현지에서 사역하는 사역자들과 다른 국제연대 단체에 파견된 사람, 남아공 본부 사무실에 있는 사람들이 있습니다. 작년에 리나 선교사가 현지 사역자들을 위한 회원 관리 코디네이터로 임명된 것을 하나님께 감사드립니다. 모든 회원 선교사들의 사진이 본부 회의실에 게시되어 정기적으로 기도할 수 있도록 했습니다. 현재 인사부의 담당사역자가 공석입니다. 이 자리가 속히 채워지도록 기도해 주세요. 번역 팀과 같은 여러 사역들에는 남아프리카 사람들과 언어 공동체들과의 관계를 돕는 현지담당 조정관도 있습니다. 위클리프남아공은 또한 세계의 다른 지역에서 섬기는 다양한 사역자들을 보유하고 있습니다. 이 모든 사람들은 성경 번역에 기여하여 다른 사람들이 하나님의 말씀을 접할 수 있도록 돕습니다. 해외 사역으로는 국제학교 교사, 성경 번역, 문해 사역 및 성경 활용 사역자들이 포함됩니다.

Helping others access the Word of God: South Africa
Wycliffe South Africa (WSA) has people serving on the field, assigned to other Alliance organizations, and in the WSA office. Praise God that Rina Blomerus was appointed as a member care coordinator for the field staff last year. Photos of all the members have also been put up in the organization's boardroom so they can be kept in people’s prayers regularly. There’s no current human resources person in place. Please pray that this need will be met. Other services, like the WSA translation services team, have staff on the field looking after relationships with people and language groups in South Africa. Wycliffe South Africa also has various staff members working in other parts of the world. All of these people contribute to Bible translation, helping others access the Word of God. The endeavor abroad includes teaching children of international workers, Bible translation, literacy, and Scripture engagement.

아프리카, 남미, 태평양 일부 지역에서는 배를 타고 외딴 마을로 가는 것이 가장 좋은 방법이며 때로는 유일한 방법이기도 합니다. 하지만 안전 장비를 잘 갖추지 못한 낡은 배에 사람들이 많이 타게 되고, 혹 문제가 발생해도 도움을 받을 수 없는 험난한 물 위에서의 운항 길이 될 수 있습니다. 잘스는 해안 지역 소수민족 공동체들을 위하여 장비, 배송 및 수리를 포함한 특수 선박, 해양 프로그램을 위한 물류 및 재정지원, 안전 장비, 신호장치, 비상 인공위성 항해표지 설치 및 수상 안전 교육 등으로 섬기고 있습니다. 잘스의 해상 사역팀이 최고의 지원 팀워크로 사역을 잘 감당할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Sea Operations
In parts of Africa, South America, and the Pacific, boats are often the best—or sometimes the only—way to reach remote areas. village. But the trip can be harrowing: crowding onto rundown ships, often with no safety equipment, and plying rough waters far from any hope of help if something goes wrong. JAARS provides coastal communities with specialized vessels, including outfitting, delivery, and repair, as well as logistical and financial support for boat programs, safety equipment, signaling devices, emergency satellite beacons, and water safety training. Please pray that JAARS’s sea operation team may serve as the best support teamwork.
