Korean Diaspora Engagement  한인 디아스포라 협력

캐나다와 한국 6기 영어 튜터링 프로그램

지난 3월 20일부터 시작했던 한국성경번역선교회(지비티, 위클리프한국) 사역자들의 영어 능력 향상을 위한 튜터링 프로그램 6기가 하나님의 은혜로 5월 22일에 수료하게 됩니다. 한국 참가자들의 영어 능력이 향상되고 있음과 캐나다 교사들 역시 한국의 문화에 대해 배우고 있음에 감사드립니다. 무엇보다 선후배 선교사들 사이에 서로 삶을 나누고 사역과 삶의 도전 가운데도 각자 속한 자신의 문화와 사역 대상의 문화 속에서 역사하시는 하나님의 은혜를 나누게 되었음에 감사드립니다. 두 단체 간에 지속적인 협력과 프로그램의 발전을 위해, 노력 중인 양국의 코디네이터 팀 (폴 마이저느, 이규준, 박은영, 윤기태 선교사)을 위해 기도해 주세요.

GBT-Canada, the 6th English tutoring program

By God's grace, the sixth season of the tutoring program to improve the English language skills of GBT(Wycliffe Korea) workers in Korea, which began on March 20, will be completed on May 22. We are thankful that the participants' English skills are improving and that the Canadian tutors are learning more about Korean culture. Most of all, we are grateful that the senior and junior missionaries have shared their lives and see God's grace at work in their own culture and the culture of those they serve, even amid ministry and life challenges. Pray for the ongoing collaboration between the two organizations for the development of the program and the hard-working team of bilateral coordinators(Paul Meisner, Gyoojun Lee, Eun Young Park, & Daniel Yoon).

디아스포라 사역팀 월례 회의

위클리프캐나다 디아스포라 사역팀이 한 달에 한 번씩 모여서 말씀 묵상과 사역에 관한 현안 업데이트, 기도 제목들을 함께 나누는 모임입니다. 이번 달은 5월 22일(수요일)에 모일 예정입니다. 서로 간에 격려와 나눔으로 힘을 얻는 교제의 시간 되도록, 기도로 서로 중보하는 시간 되도록 함께 손 모아 주세요.

Diaspora Engagement Team’s Monthly Meeting

The Wycliffe Canada Diaspora Engagement Team meets once a month to share devotionals, ministry updates, and prayer requests. This month, we will meet on Wednesday, May 22nd. Please pray that this team meeting will be a time of fellowship, encouragement, sharing, and prayer intercession.

완수할 이야기 한국어 코스: 이글스필드한인교회

이글스필드한인교회 (장성훈 담임목사)에서 5월 17, 24, 25일에 30여 명의 단기 선교팀 훈련을 위한 “완수할 이야기 (The Unfinished Story)” 프로그램이 진행됨에 감사드립니다. 학생, 청년, 장년이 함께 하는 이 훈련을 통해 참가자들이 모두 하나님의 선교에 대해 잘 깨닫고 선교적 삶을 살아갈 수 있는 실제적인 것들을 실행해 나갈 수 있도록, 인도하는 이규준 / 한진숙 선교사가 하나님 주시는 지혜와 열정으로 잘 섬길 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

TUSfY at Eaglesfield Community Church

We are grateful that The Unfinished Story for Youth is held at Eaglesfield Community Church (Sen. Pastor, Rev. Sung Hoon Jang) for their short-term mission teams of more than 30 people on May 17, 24, and 25. Please pray that all mixed groups of participants (students, young adults, and adults) will understand what God's Mission looks like in general and develop practical ways to live a missional life. Pray that ECC will adopt this program for ongoing mission education and that Gyoojun and Jinsook will serve well through God-given wisdom and passion.

Kingdom Friendship 킹덤 프렌드십

크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 매튜 원저 선교사, 킹피셔레이크

매튜 선교사가 최근 킹피셔레이크 지역을 방문한 지역 원주민 의회 시보가마 이사 와의 면담이 있었다고 전해 왔습니다. “시보가마는 원주민 모어 교육에 경험이 많은 사람으로, 초등학교 저학년들을 위한 오지 크리 집중형 커리큘럼 개발을 추진하고 있고, 원주민 의회가 진행하고자 하는 가능성 있는 언어 프로젝트들에 대해 대화를 나누었습니다. 원주민 교육 팀과 함께 협력할 수 있는 좋은 기회가 있을 것으로 예상되지만, 이런 일들을 잘 시작하려면 기도와 인내가 먼저 필요합니다."라고 알려왔습니다. 오지 크리 사역 팀원들이 하나님의 은혜로 힘과 지혜를 얻을 수 있도록 계속해서 기도로 응원해 주세요.

Cree initiative: Matt Windsor, Kingfisher Lake

Matt Windsor reports that he recently “had an exciting meeting with the director of Shibogama, the (regional) First Nation Council, who was visiting Kingfisher Lake. He is experienced in indigenous-language education and is pushing to develop an Oji-Cree immersion curriculum for the first few grades. He covered a lot of potential language projects the council would like to work on. There might be an opportunity to collaborate with his education team, but these things take prayer and patience to get them off the ground.” Please continue to pray for the Oji-Cree team members and their strength and wisdom by God’s grace.

Streams of Prayer 위클리프 국제 연대 격주 기도제목

위클리프 국제 회의

위클리프 국제 연대 전체가 모이는 국제 회의가 ‘함께 성장’이라는 주제로 2024년 10월 31일부터 11월 4일까지 남아프리카공화국 요하네스버그에서 열립니다. 각 국제 연대 대표들과 이사회 의장, 동역 단체들과 초청 손님들이 함께 모여 하나님의 음성을 듣고 서로 배울 수 있는 기회가 될 것입니다. 이번 국제회의는 지난 2020년 회의가 코로나로 인해 취소되면서 8년 만에 열리는 된 것입니다. 아주 중요한 행사인 만큼 앞으로 몇 달 동안 준비과정을 위해 함께 기도해 주세요.

Global Gathering

The Global Gathering of Wycliffe Global Alliance will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 31 October to 4 November 2024. The theme is ‘Growing Together’. It is an opportunity for the directors and board chairs from each Alliance organization, along with partners and guests, to gather together, hear God’s voice, and learn from one another. This will be the first Global Gathering in eight years, as the 2020 gathering was canceled due to the pandemic. As this is such a significant event, we will pray for the preparations during the coming months.

기술, 지식, 경험: 이는 도전적인 새로운 환경에서 사역을 감당할 때 모든 것을 바꿀 수 있는 핵심 요소들입니다. 특히 현지에 파송된 사역자들을 위해 중요한 물류 문제를 해결하는 것이 여러분의 역할이라면 더욱 그렇습니다. 성경 번역 사역을 준비하는 분들을 위해 잘스는 다양한 분야에서 꼭 필요한, 집중적이고 전문적인 훈련을 제공합니다. 하나님께서 잘스의 훈련 강사들을 잘 사용하셔서 성경번역 선교와 관련 사역들을 준비하는 이들에게 효과적이고 유용한 선교 훈련을 잘 제공할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

JAARS Prayerline

Skill, knowledge, and experience are crucial elements that can make all the difference when approaching missions in a challenging new setting. Especially when your role is to solve critical logistical problems for workers already there, JAARS provides the focused, specialized training vital in many different areas for those preparing for work in Bible translation and related ministries. Please pray that God will mightily use our instructors to provide practical, helpful training for those preparing for missions work.
