이규준 / 한진숙 선교사: 디아스포라 협력 디렉터, 캐나다

지난 4월 초부터 밀알교회에서 개최된 토론토 지역 카이로스 코스가 성공적으로 잘 마쳐지고 12명 이상이 이번 주에 열리는 조력자 훈련에 참가하게 되었으며, 지속적으로 밀알교회의 훈련 프로그램으로 채택되었음에 감사드립니다! 무엇보다 기도와 재정과 섬김으로 하나님의 선교에 더 동참하며 선교적 삶을 살기로 다짐한 모든 참가자들에게 성령께서 계속 충만하게 역사하셔서 열방을 축복하는 복된 삶을 누리도록 기도해 주세요. 이 선교사는 이번 한 주간 토론토참소망교회 단기 사역 팀과 함께 도미니카의 아이티 난민을 섬기는 사역을 하게 됩니다. 팀원들이 하나 되어 하나님이 행하시는 놀라운 일을 체험하고 돌아올 수 있도록, 여행중 안전과 건강을 위해 기도해 주세요.

Gyoojun & Jinsook Lee: Director of Diaspora Engagement, Canada

We are thankful that the Toronto area Kairos course held at Milal Church since the beginning of April has been a great success, with over a dozen people participating in this week's facilitator training, and that it has been adopted as an ongoing training program at Milal Church! Pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to work in the fullness of all the participants who have committed to live missional lives by becoming more involved in God's mission through prayer, finances, and service and that they will be truly blessed through blessing the nations. Gyoojun will serve with the Toronto True Hope Church short-term team of Haitian refugees in the Dominican Republic. Pray for safety and health, for the team to get united and experience the amazing things God has been doing.

알버트/마르다 (이삭, 모세) 선교사: 위클리프 대만 대표, 보안국 지역 책임자

지난 5월에 있었던 위클리프 국제 연대 아시아-태평양 지도자 모임과 대만 소수민족들을 위한 인공지능을 이용하는 번역 워크숍을 하나님의 은혜로 잘 마쳤음에 감사를 드립니다. 인공지능을 이용해 시라야 언어로 이뤄진 성경 한 권의 초벌 번역이 상당히 만족스러웠으며, 알버트 선교사는 시라야 언어 사용자들을 통해 초벌 번역을 꼼꼼히 점검하고 수정하는 절차를 준비 중입니다. 계속적으로 시라야 사람들의 성경 번역에 진척이 있도록 손 모아 기도해 주세요.

We are grateful for God's grace in making the Wycliffe Asia-Pacific director’s Meeting and the workshop on AI-aided Translation for ethnic minorities in Taiwan successful in May. The AI-aided drafting of a Bible book was very satisfactory, and Albert is preparing the follow-ups and the thorough checking of the draft by the Syriah-speaking translators. Please join us in praying for the continued progress of the Syraya Bible translation.

위클리프 태국을 위해 기도해 주세요

최근 태국 북동부에서 열린 이산족 목회자 컨퍼런스를 인하여 감사드립니다. 약 200명의 목회자들이 참석하여 위클리프 태국의 사역에 대한 발표와 함께 많은 사역의 연결이 이루어졌습니다. 이산 지역 소수언어에 대한 구전 성경 번역의 필요성과 실행 가능성을 결정하기 위한 이산 언어 조사가 진행되는 동안 이산 지역 목회자들의 지속적인 이해와 협력을 위해 기도해 주세요. 최근 왓 태국대표 선교사와 그의 아내 지미가 캘거리에 있는 캐나다 위클리프와 두 개의 협력 교회를 방문한 것을 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다. 곧 이어 위클리프 단기 선교팀이 태국이 주도하는 프로젝트를 후원하는 한 캐나다 교회 성도들과 함께 태국을 방문했습니다. 이러한 소중한 만남을 통해 파트너십이 강화되고 더 많은 기도와 격려, 재정적 후원이 이루어지도록 기도해 주세요.

Pray for Wycliffe Thai Foundation

We thank the Lord for the recent conference for Isan pastors held in northeast Thailand. Some 200 pastors attended the event, which led to many helpful connections and a presentation about the work of Wycliffe Thai Foundation. Pray for continued understanding and co-operation from the Isan pastors as the Isan language survey moves forward to determine the need and viability of an Oral Bible Translation for the Isan regional language. Praise God that director Wat and his wife, Jimmie, recently visited the Wycliffe Canada office in Calgary and two city churches. A short time later, a team from the Calgary office visited Thailand with members from one church that supports projects overseen by the foundation. Please pray that these valuable connections strengthen partnerships and yield even greater prayer, encouragement, and financial support.

수화 번역 소프트웨어에 추가된 도구: 전세계

국제 청각장애인선교 팀과 연합 성서공회의 사역자들로 구성된 수화 성경 번역팀이 청각 장애인 번역 팀을 위해 개발된 수화 번역 도구를 보완하는 “프로젝트 진행 상황 추적 도구”를 출시했습니다. 이 수화 번역 도구는 서면 번역에 사용되는 파라텍스트(성경번역용 특수 소프트웨어)에 익숙한 사역자들을 위해, 이와 유사하지만 동영상 번역도 지원됩니다. 새로 출시된 보완 도구인 응용 프로그래밍 인터페이스를 통해 사역자들은 프로젝트 활동을 추적하고 프로젝트에 함께 참여하는 동역 기관들의 목록에 접속하는 등의 작업을 수행할 수 있습니다. 하나님께서 새롭게 확장된 인터페이스를 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다. 청각 장애인 사역팀이 이 새로운 소프트웨어를 배우고 사용하며 프로젝트와 파트너십을 보다 효율적으로 잘 관리할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Tool added to sign language translation software: Global

The SLTT team, which includes staff from DOOR International and United Bible Societies, has released a project progress tracking tool that complements the SLTT (Sign Language Translation Tool) developed for Deaf translation teams. For those familiar with Paratext used for written translations, SLTT is similar but supports video translation. The newly released complementary tool, SLTT API (application programming interface), allows project staff to track project activities, access a list of partners involved in the projects, and more. Praise God for this newly expanded interface. Pray that as Deaf teams learn this new software, they can use it to more efficiently manage their projects and partnerships.

JAARS Prayerline

In parts of Africa, 98% of roads are unpaved, and the rainy season lasts for half the year. Tough as it is, the best way for translators to get input, test drafts, help churches, and start literacy classes is to visit local communities. That’s why JAARS paves the way for our partners by providing them with motorbikes, 4WD vehicles, safety equipment, and driving and maintenance training. Please pray for the 4WD vehicles and motorcycles that we provide our mission organization partners worldwide and operational and maintenance training for their personnel.
