Korean Diaspora Engagement  한인 디아스포라 협력

카이로스 코스와 완수할 이야기: 토론토/온타리오

지난주 수요일부터 9주 동안 토론토지역 카이로스 한국어 코스가 밀알교회(박형일 담임 목사)에서 열리며 서너 교회가 협력하여 진행하고 있음에 감사드립니다. 단기 선교에 참가자들을 위한 훈련도 되고, 지역의 선교 동원 운동으로도 계속 확장될 수 있도록 기도해 주시고, 무엇보다 선교가 일회성 행사가 아니라 삶으로 자리매김 될 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 카이로스 코스의 축약 본인 TUSfY (완수할 이야기, The Unfinished Story for Youth)도 토론토참소망교회(손명수 담임 목사)에서 시작되었습니다. 앞으로 이글스필드한인교회(장성훈 담임 목사)와 밀알교회에서 또 진행될 예정인데 특히 청소년들로부터 장년 / 시니어에 이르기까지 단기간에 받을 수 있는 훈련으로 잘 정착될 수 있도록, 이 일을 섬기는 이규준 / 한진숙 선교사 부부와 또 동역하는 여러 조력자들과 교회 리더들이 함께 섬길 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Kairos Korean Course & TUSfY: Toronto/Ontario

We are thankful that Kairos course in the Toronto area is being held at Milal Church (Rev. Hyung Il Park, senior pastor) for nine weeks starting last Wednesday and is being organized in partnership with three or four churches. Pray that participants in the short-term missions of Milal Church and Toronto True Hope Church (Rev. Moses Son, senior pastor) will be trained well in God's Mission, that it will continue to expand into a local missions mobilization movement, and most importantly, that God's Mission will become their way of life rather than a one-time short-term event. TUSfY (The Unfinished Story for Youth), an abbreviated version of the Kairos course, has begun at Toronto True Hope Church and will be held at Eaglesfield Community Church (Rev. Sunghoon Jang, senior pastor) and Milal Church. Pray it will be well established, especially as a short-term mission training for youth and seniors. Pray for Gyoojun and Jinsook as they serve these programs with other facilitators and church leaders.

L and C 선교사: 성경번역, 아시아 보안지역 / 본국 사역(안식년) / 동역관계 개발

L and C 선교사가 캘거리를 방문하여 기도 팀과 교회 리더들과 교제하며 협력을 논의할 예정입니다. 더 나은 동역 관계 개발을 위해 힘써야 하는 상황인데, 하나님의 인도하심으로 예비하신 사람들과 교회들을 만나 더 왕성한 동역이 이뤄질 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

L and C: Bible translation in a sensitive area of Asia / home assignment / Partnership Development

L and C will travel to Calgary to meet with Wycliffe prayer team members, friends, and church leaders to fellowship and develop further partnerships. Please pray that God will lead him to meet with the people and churches He has prepared for him to develop better partnerships.

W 프로젝트: 문해 사역 훈련

한 소녀는 "저는 글을 읽거나 쓸 수 없다고 생각했는데, 선생님의 도움과 연습을 통해 지금은 할 수 있게 되었어요. 배우는 것은 힘들지만 노력과 끈기로 어려운 일도 해낼 수 있다는 것을 스스로 깨달았어요."라고 말했습니다. 이 문화 가운데서 상처받은 여성들을 위해 기도해 주세요. 오 하나님, 돌파를 통해서 변화를 허락해 주시고, 그들이 주의 선하심과 주의 희생의 모범, 그리고 이 언어 민족들을 주가 어떻게 바라보시는지를 알 수 있도록 도와주세요! 주정부 등록 갱신이 다중 언어 학교를 후원하는 지역사회 기반 사역 단체에 유리하게 진행되고, 최종 허가가 곧 나오도록, 실크 로드 2025를 위한 컨퍼런스 장소와 때에 맞는 적절한 연사를 허락해 주시도록, 신청 중인 입국 비자가 잘 처리되어 금년 여름에 입국하는데 지장이 없도록 하나님께서 문을 열어 주시기를, 승리의 부활절 메시지를 들은 사람들의 마음속에 하나님의 역사가 일어나도록 기도해 주세요.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)
W Project: Literacy Training

One girl said, “I didn't think I could read or write, but now, with the teacher's help and doing the practice, I can do it. Learning was hard, but I tried and showed myself that I could do tough things with hard work and persistence.” Pray for Heartbreak for this culture's brokenness, particularly for women. Oh God, breakthrough and bring transformation; help them see the beauty of Jesus, His example, and how He views them! Pray that the Provincial registration renewal looks favorable for the community-based organization that sponsors the Multilingual Education School and that the finalized certificate comes through soon. Pray for God’s provision of a conference location for SRA 2025 and the right speaker for our group at that time. Please continue to pray for our visa applications to SRA and that God will open the door for us to go this summer. Pray that the victorious Easter message will be spread around and for God’s work in the hearts of those who hear it.

유례없는 완역 성경 출간의 해: 한국, 전세계

세계 곳곳에서 언어 프로젝트에 참여하고 있는 한국성경번역선교회(GBT)의 사역 팀원들을 인해 하나님을 찬송합니다. 2024년은 한국의 성경 번역팀이 전 세계 4개 언어 공동체를 통해 완역 성경을 출간해 봉헌하는 전례 없는 해입니다. 선교회의 리더들이 이 기회를 통해 새로운 이정표들을 함께 세우게 된 한국 교회와 기도로 동역하는 후원자들과 함께 하나님께 영광을 돌리며, 성경 봉헌식 행사들을 통해 관심이 있는 사람들이 성경 번역 운동에 대해 더 관심을 가지고 함께 동참할 수 있게 되도록 기도해 주세요.

An unprecedented year of launching completed Scriptures: Korea, Global

Praise the Lord for Global Bible Translators (GBT, Wycliffe Korea) personnel who are involved in language projects worldwide. 2024 is an unprecedented year for GBT, as their personnel have been involved in launching completed Scriptures with four language communities around the world. Pray for GBT leaders as they use this opportunity to glorify God and rejoice with the Korean churches and prayer supporters for these milestones. Pray that these celebrations will bring greater awareness of Bible translation movements to those interested in the ministry.

청소년을 위한 성경 활용 프로그램: 인도네시아

마나도의 구전 성경이야기 팀이 미나하사 복음교회에서 청소년을 위한 성경 활용 프로그램을 시작하게 되어 하나님을 찬양합니다. 이 프로그램을 통해 청소년들은 한 달에 한 번씩 드리는 예배의 일환으로 구전 성경 이야기를 바탕으로 한 공연을 요청받았습니다. 많은 십대들이 성경을 이해하고 자신들의 삶에 적용하는 모습을 보는 것은 참으로 기쁜 일입니다. 이렇게 말씀을 접하면서 하나님께서 저들의 삶을 계속해서 변화시켜 주시도록 기도해 주세요.

Scripture use program for youth: Indonesia

Praise God for the Oral Bible Storying team in Manado as they initiated a Scripture use program for the youth at Minahasa Evangelical Church (GMIM). With the program, these young people are asked to perform an oral Bible story as part of their monthly worship. Seeing so many teenagers understand and apply the Bible to their daily lives is a joy. Pray that God will continue transforming their lives as they engage His Word in this way.

JAARS Prayerline

Skill, knowledge, and experience are crucial elements that can make all the difference when approaching missions in a challenging new setting. Especially when your role is to solve critical logistical problems for workers who are already there, JAARS provides the focused, specialized training that is vital in many different areas for those preparing for work in Bible translation. Please pray that God will mightily use our instructors to provide effective, helpful training for those preparing for missions work.
