A and M (Isaac, Moses): director of Wycliffe Taiwan and a regional manager of a sensitive area, respectively  

We are thankful that the New Testament audio recording, in cooperation between Wycliffe and Faith Comes By Hearing, was done well and ask for your prayers that this Dao Audio Bible will transform the Dao people. Please pray that God will send a good administration worker to Wycliffe Taiwan as the current volunteer will finish her ministry in June. Pray also that Isaac and Moses will have a healthy and meaningful summer vacation.

지난 3월 17일자 주간기도제목에서 기도 부탁드렸던 대만의 따오족 오디오 성경녹음이 Faith Comes By Hearing과 협력하여 잘 이뤄졌음에 감사드리고, 이 복음이 따오족의 삶을 변화시키도록 기도해주세요! 대만 본부 행정사역 담당 자매가 6월에 그만두는데, 좋은 일꾼이 구해지도록, 그리고 이삭과 모세 두 아이의 방학이 곧 시작되는데, 알차고 건강하게 잘 지내도록 손모아주세요. 

Kingdom Friendship 킹덤 프렌드십

AIDIA and ATEK project: Peru

The Chinese Diaspora team is leading Kingdom Friendship trips to Cusco, Peru with the participants from several churches in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and also Lima, Peru. The two groups will respectively visit the national translation organizations, AIDIA and ATEK, which work with Quechua speakers. There is one young lady among the participants who is seeking confirmation for her calling from God to become a Bible translator. Please pray that she will have God’s assurance for her calling through this trip. Pray that all of the other participants will learn from the Quechua people and serve them through fellowship with them. Pray also for strength and wisdom for Alice Ho, the director of the Chinese Diaspora team.

AIDIA 와 ATEK 사역 팀을 방문하게 되고, 참가자 중에는 특별히 성경번역 선교사의 부르심을 확인하려는 자매도 있습니다. 이번 여행을 통해 확신을 얻고 좋은 결정을 하게 되도록, 그리고 참가자 모두 현지인들과의 교제를 통해 잘 섬기고 배우고 오게 되도록, 이번 단기 선교팀을 인도하는 앨리스 호 선교사를 위해 지혜와 건강 주시도록 기도해주세요.

New Scripture engagement website: Global

The New Taste&See website, aimed at churches and language communities, will lead them through a process to choose tools and materials for Scripture engagement. Most of the web pages are in place, but many resources will be added in the next few months. The project team needs two critical staff positions to be filled before they go live. One person will keep the list of tools updated, and maintain the links to partner organizations. The other person will monitor the users, social media interface and response times for problems. Pray that these positions can be filled soon.

신규 성경 활용 웹페이지: 전 세계

교회와 언어 공동체들을 위한 웹페이지 ‘Taste&See’ 가 새로 제작되어 성경 활용의 방법과 자료를 소개하게 됩니다. 웹페이지는 거의 제작이 되었고 앞으로 몇 달간 더 많은 자료들이 추가됩니다. 제작팀은 이 사이트를 개설하기 전에 두 개의 중요한 직책을 담당할 사람들을 찾고 있습니다. 한 사람은 자료들을 업데이트하고 협력 단체들과의 링크를 유지하는 사역을 맡고 다른 한 사람은 웹 방문자들을 모니터링하고 소셜 미디어에 연계시키며 문제가 발생할 때 처리해주는 임무입니다. 이 자리들이 속히 채워지도록 기도해주세요.

Titan Scripture brings reconciliation: Papua New Guinea

One Sunday morning some of the Titan translators stood before a local church congregation in Papua New Guinea and took turns reading aloud a portion of Genesis 15 in the Tital language. This was the first time the people had heard God’s Word read in their own language. Months before, church leaders had had a disagreement and hadn’t spoken to each other since then. When the Scripture portion was read in Titan, God spoke powerfully to the hearts of these leaders through His Word. Immediately after that service, the leaders mended their broken relationships are began meeting again.

회해를 가져온 티탄 부족어 성경: 파푸아뉴기니

어느 주일 아침에 파푸아뉴기니의 한 마을교회 회중앞에서 티탄어 번역자들이 일어서서 티탄어로 창세기 15장을 교독하며 읽었습니다. 티탄 부족들이 자기네 모어인 티탄어로 성경을 처음 듣는 시간이었습니다. 이 교회 지도자들은 지난 몇 달 전부터 의견 불일치로 서로 말을 하지 않고 있었는데 자기네 모어로 성경 말씀을 들을 때 이 지도자들의 마음에 하나님께서 강하게 말씀하심을 듣고는 예배가 끝나자마자 서로의 관계를 회복하고 다시 만나기 시작했습니다.

Ten days of JAARS Aviation Mountain Week training begins June 17th. Give praise for families and churches that provide housing, food, worship, and sacrifice crop income on land used for aircraft landing and takeoff training.

잘스 항공부 산악 주간 훈련이 6월 17일부터 10일간 진행됩니다. 훈련에 참여한 이들에게 숙소와 음식 그리고 예배처를 제공할 뿐만 아니라, 항공기 이착륙과 훈련용 밭을 제공하므로 곡물의 수확량이 감소하는 등의 헌신을 감수한 가족들과 지역 교회들을 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다.

Praise God that 405 Papua New Guineans from 96 language groups were trained during 2018. Pray these students will diligently apply this knowledge in their translation calling.

2018년중에 96개의 부족 언어 그룹에서 405 명의 파푸아뉴기니 현지인들이 훈련을 받았음에 감사드립니다. 훈련받은 이 학생들이 번역자의 소명을 받아 습득한 지식을 열씸히 잘 활용할 수 있도록 기도해주세요. 
 

The Magend (Southeast Asia) people love poetry. Pray that reading 37 psalms which have recently been translated will fill their hearts with gladness. May the nations be glad and sing for joy (Psalm 67:4a, NIV)
