Mobilization ministries in Calgary

We are thankful that L & C had very meaningful fellowship with the Korean prayer teams in Calgary and were able to participate in the head facilitators training for the Kairos course as part of the Simply Mobilizing movement. We are also thankful for the emergence of Korean leadership from the western part of Canada with this movement. There were 11 Korean HF candidates among the 21 participants at this HFTC (head facilitators training course).  

Please pray for L & C to be well-equipped through this training, and also for Gyoojun as he will lead these Koreans in discussing how they will work together to mobilize God’s people with a united heart toward God’s Kingdom, putting His people and local churches first rather than competing against one another in pursuing  one’s own hidden agendas.

캘거리에서 이뤄지고 있는 동역과 훈련

L & C 선교사가 캘거리 기도팀과 소중한 교제를 나눌 수 있게 됨과 심플리 모빌라이징 운동의 일환인 카이로스 코스의 책임조력자 훈련을 받게 됨을 감사드립니다. 또한 이 훈련에 참여중인 21명 중 11명의 한인 책임조력자 후보생들이 서부지역에서 참여하게 됨을 감사드립니다. L & C 선교사가 훈련을 통해 잘 준비되게 하시고 이규준 선교사가 책임조력자 후보생들과 함께 어떻게 하면 각자의 이익을 생각하기 보다는 하나님 나라와 그 백성들 즉 교회를 먼저 생각하고 한 마음으로 교회를 하나님의 선교에 동원할 수 있을까 논의하는 시간을 잘 인도하도록 기도해주세요.

JAARS Vision Trip: Missions Exploration and Training

We are thankful for the participants from the Niagara Korean Presbyterian Church (Rev. Wook-Soo Suh, senior pastor) who will go to JAARS Centre from June 5~9 as part of their 40-year anniversary events. The Young Nak Presbyterian Church of Toronto (Rev. Minho Song, senior pastor) will also be sending their church group between June 29~July 3. Please pray that all participants will learn and be challenged through this engagement in God’s mission. Pray also for good co-operation between the participating churches and Wycliffe/JAARS.

잘스 비전 여행및 선교 훈련

6월 5일(수) 부터6월 9일(주일) 까지 미국 로스캐롤라이나 잘스 센터 에서 열리는 선교 훈련에 나이아가라 한인장로교회 (서욱수 담임목사) 는 교회 창립 40주년 기념 행사의 하나로 참여하게 되고, 토론토영락교회 (송민호 담임목사) 팀은 6월 29일 부터 7월 3일까지 잘스 센터 선교 훈련에 각각 참여하게 되어 감사드립니다. 참가자들이 배우고 도전받음으로 하나님의 선교에 더욱 동참하게 되며 참여하는 교회들과 위클리프캐나다 / 잘스 간에 지속적인 동역이 이어지도록 손모아주세요.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward this item or post it anywhere online)

R Project: The R team hopes to publish several major Scripture portions by September 2019: The Gospels and Acts in a single volume as “Life of Christ and his Disciples”; and several epistles as smaller booklets in a series of “Teaching for Believers.” They are now testing some of the key terms in the language community. They also want to establish a translation committee. Please continue to pray for this project to move forward steadily toward their goals.  Pray for protection over the key terms testing and insight into any terms that need to be reconsidered. Ask God to bring the right people together in a committee that could give encouragement and guidance to the translation team.

R 프로젝트: R 프로젝트 팀은 금년 9 월까지 몇 가지 주요 성경책들의 출판을 소망합니다. 복음서와 사도행전은 "그리스도의 생애와 제자들"이라는 단본으로, 그리고 여러 서신서들은 "신자들을 위한 가르침"이라는 더 작은 소책자들로 만들어지고 있습니다. 팀은 이제 주요 용어 중 일부를 부족 공동체에서 테스트하고 있고, 마을에서 번역위원회가 설립되기를 또한 소망합니다. 이 프로젝트가 목표를 향해 꾸준히 진척될 수 있도록, 핵심 용어 테스트에 대한 하나님의 보호와 재검토가 필요한 용어에 대한 통찰력을 주시도록, 그리고 번역 팀에게 격려와 지도를 잘해줄 수 있는 적절한 사람을 하나님께서 세워주시도록 기도해주세요.

Grateful for Bible: Uzbekistan, Russian Federation

The Uzbek Bible was published in 2016. Recently an Uzbek man living in Russia sent the following letter to the publisher, the Institute for Bible Translation in Moscow: “All of the believers in our two cities are very grateful for the Bible in the Uzbek language. We who have waited so long held the Bible in our hands, kissed and hugged it, and shed tears of joy.” Another woman wrote: “Finally, I received a complete Bible in my native language – praise God! Thank you for all who worked so that we can receive God’s Word. When I read it, I get inspired and gain more insights.”

말씀에 대한 감사: 우즈베키스탄, 러시아 연방

우즈벡 성경은 2016년에 출판되었습니다. 최근 러시아에 사는 한 우즈벡 남성이 우즈벡 성경 출판사인 모스크바의 성경번역협회에 다음과 같은 편지를 보냈습니다. “우리 두 도시의 모든 성도들은 우즈벡 언어로 된 성경에 매우 감사하고 있습니다. 오랫동안 기다린 우리는 성경을 손에 들고 키스하고 껴안고 기쁨의 눈물을 흘렸답니다." 또 다른

한 여성은 "마침내 나는 우리 말로된 성경전서를 받았습니다. 우리가 하나님의 말씀을 받을 수 있도록 수고한 모든 분들에게 감사드립니다. 이 성경을 읽으며 더 많은 영감과 통찰력을 얻습니다. 하나님을 찬송합니다! "

Voice actor who portrays Jesus has a dream: Asia

The voice actor who performs the role of Jesus in the New Testament recording of a major language of Asia speaks with warmth his voice. One night after starting to record he had a dream. The next day he told the other actors about it. “I saw a man in long white robes. His face was too shiny to make out his features. I sensed I was seeing Jesus! I am now sure that I am doing the right thing by taking part in recording the Bible!” Pray for this actor and those who hear the recording to be inspired to draw closer to God.

예수역을 맡은 성우가 꿈에서 본 예수를 묘사: 아시아

아시아의 한 주요 언어로 진행중인 신약 성경 녹음에서 예수님 역할을 맡은 성우가 부드러운 목소리로 역할을 잘 소화하고 있습니다. 녹음이 시작된 후 어느 날 이 사람은 꿈을 꾸었고  다음 날 다른 성우들에게 이렇게 말했습니다. “꿈에서 긴 흰 옷을 입은 남자를 보았는데 형체를 알아볼 수 없을 정도로 빛이 나더군. 이 분이 예수라는 것을 나는 알 수 있었지. 성경 녹음하는 것이 올바른 일이라는 것을 이제는 확신하게 되었다네!” 이 성우와 녹음을 듣는 사람들이 영감을 받아 하나님께로 더 가까이 나아갈 수 있도록 기도해주세요.
