Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): Director of Wycliffe Taiwan and Regional Manager of a sensitive area, respectively
Martha is thankful for the answer she got through the one-on-one discipleship session with a Taiwanese college girl, which is 1 Peter 5:6-7. We want to 'make ourselves humble under God's mighty hand and cast all our anxiety to him.' Albert led a planning meeting for Wycliffe Taiwan in September, and he will serve the board of directors meeting in October and the annual general meeting in November. Pray that Wycliffe Taiwan will be able to elect new board directors, and accept more new missionaries this year by God's grace. Pray for a good diagnosis and treatment of Martha's gum pain, and for God's wisdom as they need to decide whether to continue homeschooling Issac (Gr. 9) or to send him to a public high school. Pray also for Moses (Gr. 6) to finish his elementary school well with a new homeroom teacher who came in very recently.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)
“K” Project: The Project Advisor desires to have a significant focus on literature production, and also on relating to government officials and to facilitate all registration related matters. For example, the registration of the local implementing partner (CBO, community-based organization) and the project school (it is in the mother tongue, multilingual education) have been slow. Just recently the people finished celebrating a major holiday, which is in memory of Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son, who they believe was Ishmael. As the people celebrate, one important element is the sacrifice of an animal and the sharing of the meat with family and with the poor. Our hope would be that this people group who practice this ritual would discover and take hold of the One who loves them and laid down His life for them as the one true sacrifice for all time.

K 프로젝트: 프로젝트 자문관은 문해 자료 제작이나 현지 정부및 각종 등록 관련 업무에 상당한 중점을 두고 있습니다. 현지 실행 단체 (지역 공동체 기반)와 프로젝트 스쿨 (모어및 다중언어 교육기관)의 인허가 문제가 너무 느리기 때문입니다. 최근에 이곳 사람들은 주요 절기 기념 축제를 마쳤는데, 자기네 들이 이스마엘이라고 믿는 아브라함의 아들을 희생 제물로 바친 조상의 믿음을 기념하여, 가축을 잡아 이웃의 가난한 사람들과 함께 그 고기를 나누는 것을 중요한 종교 의식으로 여깁니다. 이 의식을 행하는 이 민족들이 자기네들을 사랑하여 자기 생명을 단 한 번의 희생 제물로 모든 사람을 위하여 드린 바로 그 분을 찾아 믿도록 하는 것이 우리들의 기도이고 소망입니다.

Pray for language survey teams: Philippines
Language survey involves the gathering of linguistic, social and community information on which to base planning for helpful and effective language development activities in Bible translation work. Pray for the leaders of the Translators Association of the Philippines as they form teams to survey and define the need for Scripture translation in the following ethnolinguistic communities: Western Albay Bicol, Tandaganon, Porohanon, Northern Bontok, Southern Bontok, Southwestern Bontok. Ask the Lord for provision, protection and guidance for these future survey teams as they accomplish the key task of language assessment.

Translation projects reaching completion: Spain, Africa
PROEL, the Alliance Organization in Spain, is closely involved with translation projects taking place in Spain itself, including: projects for two languages of Africa and several of Iberia. The New Testament for the Fa d' Ambu people in Equatorial Guinea has been completed in Spain and will be published this year. Pray for open hearts of the Fa d' Ambu people to be impacted by his Word. Pray also for the very large D language community of Africa whose New Testament has been drafted. Staff from PROEL and the translation team are working with the Spanish Bible Society toward bringing it to publication.
