Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea

Joseph and Joyce are on standby after temporarily moving to the Ukarumpa Centre from Alotau as part of a local evacuation plan due to Coronavirus. The Ukarumpa Centre has not stopped working despite the difficulties of the coronavirus. The medical team informs the surrounding villages of the precautionary rules, and the aviation team helps with limited operations with the government's permission. The broadcasting team helps encourage the neighbours with a short daily radio broadcast. Please pray for the food supply to the villages that have been affected by the flood last February. Pray for good progress in revising the drafts of Luke 13-24 in Kaninuwa. Ask also God’s wisdom to make books of the ‘Resurrection Story’ and the ‘Jonah Story’ in the Kaninuwa language.

박요섭 / 조선향 선교사: 카니누와 부족 성경번역, 파푸아뉴기니

박 선교사 부부는 코로나로 인한 현지 비상대책의 일환으로 우까룸파 센터로 임시 이동하여 대기중입니다. 현지 본부에서는 코로나바이러스의 어려움 중에도 이전에 없던 다양한 모습으로 사역을 멈추지 않고 있습니다. 의료팀은 주위 마을에 예방수칙을 알리는 일로, 항공팀은 정부의 허락으로 제한적인 운항으로, 방송팀은 매일 짧은 시간이지만 라디오 방송으로 이웃들을 격려하는 일로 돕고있습니다. 홍수로 인한 어려움이 예상되는 마을에 양식을 공급해주시도록, 초벌 번역된 카니누와 누가복음 13-24장 말씀의 수정작업에 진전이 있도록, 카니누와어로 번역된 ‘부활절 이야기’와 ‘요나 이야기’ 책을 만드는데 지혜주시도록 기도해주세요.

Coronavirus Prayer Update: 24 April 2020

There is no doubt that we live in challenging times, all the more challenging because our neighbors, friends and colleagues, whether they live near or far, are impacted as we are. We can trust God to guide us through these uncertain days. We have heard encouraging stories of organizations impacting millions of lives by producing and distributing COVID-19 resources in local languages. Let’s continue to ask God to impact the lives of everyone in the Alliance with his love, grace and favor.

우리의 이웃과 친구, 동료들이 가까이 있든 멀리 떨어져 있든지 상관 없이 코로나바이러스의 영향을 받고 모두 어려운 시기에 살고 있다는 것은 의심할 여지가 없습니다. 하지만 전혀 예측할 수 없는 이 상황가운데서도 하나님이 우리를 인도해 주실 것을 믿습니다. 코로나-19 관련 자료들을 현지어로 제작하고 배포함으로써 수백만의 삶에 영향을 미치고 있는 사역 단체들의 고무적인 소식들을 듣습니다. 하나님의 사랑과 은혜와 자비하심이 국제연대에 속한 모든 사역자들의 삶에 계속해서 영향을 미치도록 손모아주세요. 

Celebrating 40 years: Global
The Wycliffe Global Alliance gives thanks for God’s faithfulness as we celebrate our 40th anniversary on 1 May. Thank God for all of the people who have served on staff, and for each organization that is part of the Alliance. Thank him for all those who have access to Scripture in the language they know best as a result of those serving God with Alliance organizations. Praise him for the many ways he has guided us through the years.
