Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea

The Kaninuwa translation committee recently elected its leaders, with Dominic as chairperson and John as vice-chairperson. Keilo and Isamel will continue serving as treasurer and secretary respectively. Please pray that these translators will lead the team well, communicating the importance of Bible translation ministries with their own people. We are thankful to have Sylvester back as one of the Kaninuwa translation team members. Please pray for his son Abraham who suddenly became unable to see and speak and they do not know why. Please pray that he will be healed by the power of our Almighty Father. The Parks are thankful that the team-checked manuscript of Luke 13-20 was shipped by the Kaninuwa translation team from the village this week. They are getting the chapters which they received typed into the computer system, with prayer, and are waiting for the rest chapters of the Gospel of Luke, 21-24 to be safely delivered to them in a timely manner.

카니누와 번역팀에 새로운 임원 선출 (의장: 도미닉, 부의장: 존 등, 기존 임원으로 서기 케일로, 회계 이스마엘) 이 있었고, 젊은 번역자 실베스터가 다시 번역 팀에 합류했습니다. 임원들이 번역 사역을 잘 이끌어가도록 기도해 주시고, 재합류한 실베스터의 아들 아브라함이 갑자기 눈이 안 보이고 혀가 굳어져 말을 못한다고 하는데, 전능하신 우리 아버지 하나님의 능력으로 치유되도록 손모아주세요. 마을에서 번역 팀은 계속해서 누가복음 점검 중인데 13-20장까지 점검된 부분이 이번 주에 알로타우에 있는 박선교사 부부에게 잘 전달되었음에 감사드립니다! 박선교사 부부는 이미 입수된 번역 자료들을 컴퓨터에 입력하고 남은 21-24장도 곧 잘 도착되기를 기도하고 있습니다.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)

K project: There is an urgent need for prayer just now. The local K organization runs a school that helps children learn to read first in their mother tongue and then to transfer to the regional language for ongoing education. The bank has refused to release their funds until the organization's registration has been renewed -- but the government has stopped all such renewals for the time being. This means school expenses, salaries, rents, etc. have not been paid for a couple of months. Please pray for this unexpected problem, and that there will be a breakthrough in this situation by God’s grace.

T프로젝트: 방금 도착한 긴급 기도제목입니다. 현지 T 현지 단체는 아이들이 자기네 모어로 먼저 읽는 것을 배운다음 일반 교과과정으로 옮겨 지속적인 공교육을 받도록 도와주는 다중언어학교를 운영하고 있습니다. 그런데 거래 은행에서 이 단체의 정부 등록이 갱신될 때까지 재정 인출을 거부하고 있고, 정부 당국도 당분간 이러한 등록 갱신을 중단한 상태입니다. 따라서 학교 운영 경비, 교사 급여, 각종 임대료등이 두어 달째 지급할 수 없는 상황이 되었습니다. 예기치 못한 이 긴급 상황이 하나님의 은혜로 돌파구가 마련될 수 있기를 간절히 기도해주세요.

Gospel of Luke translation: Philippines

Praise the Lord that the Gospel of Luke in Guinsalugen Subanen is ready for distribution. Pray that many people in this community will receive and read these scriptures with enthusiasm and that lives will be transformed. Project facilitator Levi Cruz with Translators Association of the Philippines, works closely with mother tongue translators. Ask the Lord for good health, listening hearts and wise judgment for this team as they continue translating the Guinsalugen Subanen New Testament.

Partnership in ministry to the Deaf: United States; Global

Of the 70 million Deaf people worldwide, less than 2 % are followers of Jesus. The mission of DOOR International is to bring the Word of God to the Deaf and help form local Deaf fellowships. DOOR staff focus on sign language Bible translation and training in discipleship, evangelism and leadership. The organization partners with Deaf followers of Jesus to develop church planting movements. DOOR partners with other organizations* so more Deaf people will come to know Jesus. Pray that DOOR and partner organizations will provide the expertise and accountability needed to extend God’s kingdom among the Deaf.

*DOOR international is a Wycliffe Alliance organization and also partners with Asia Pacific Sign Language Development Association, Seed Company, Deaf Harbor, and the Deaf Bible Society.
