Daniel (Helen) Yoon: Engagement / Applications Adviser for Korean Diaspora

Daniel (and Helen) mainly serve Korean Diaspora churches and their people, encouraging them to become more missional in their daily lives and to focus on Bible translation ministries. As an applications adviser, Daniel also helps those who are interested in working for Bibleless people groups. One family is in the process of membership, and one other family is preparing to go overseas as volunteers for a short-term ministry. The Yoons are also grateful for those churches and individuals who have been partnering with the two families in prayer and financial support. Please pray for the smooth processing of the applications of those two families. Pray for God’s wisdom and humble hearts for the Yoons as Daniel serves with dedicated colleagues and volunteers.

윤기태 (양희숙) 선교사: 한인 디아스포라 교회 협력 / 인사 행정

윤선교사 부부는 한인 디아스포라 교회와 성도들이 성경번역 선교에 관심을 두고, 보다 선교적인 삶을 살도록 돕는 교회 협력 사역을 감당하며, 아울러 성경 없는 언어 부족들을 위해 위클리프와 함께 사역하기를 원하는 선교사와 자원봉사자의 허입 수속을 도와주는 인사 행정도 겸하고 있습니다. 현재 한 가정은 선교사 허입 절차를 밟고 있고, 다른 한 가정은 자원봉사자로 해외 단기 사역에 동참할 준비를 하고 있습니다. 윤선교사 가정을 위해 기도와 물질로 동역해 주시는 교회들과  성도들께 늘 감사를 드립니다. 수속 중인 두 가정의 허입 절차가 순조롭게 진척되기를, 동역하는 귀한 동료들과 헌신적인 자원 봉사자들과 함께 최선을 다하도록, 하나님의 지혜와 겸손으로 사명을 잘 감당하도록 기도해주세요.

Cree Initiative: Western Swampy Cree

The Western Swampy Cree project has started work on a children’s storybook and read-aloud ebook about Joseph (from Genesis 37-50).  Oral drafting has just been completed, and the story needs to be typed and formatted by January 2020. We are still in need of an indigenous illustrator. Other projects the communities are interested in include: Canadian Bible Society literacy booklets, hymn translation, and biblical materials related to the Seven Traditional Teachings. We are grateful for all He has done and continues to do through your support. We praise the Lord and give thanks for how God is working through Cree people in Canada.

크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 서부 스왐피 크리 부족

서부 스왐피 크리 사역팀은 어린이 동화책과 창세기 37-50장을 배경으로한 요셉이야기 전자책 제작 작업을 시작했습니다. 구두 초벌 작업은 완성되었고 2020년 1월까지 타자와 조판작업이 남았는데 아직 원주민 삽화가를 찾지 못했습니다. 캐나다 성서공회의 문해용 책자들, 찬송가 번역, 7가지 전통 강론과 관련된 성경 자료 작업등 다흔 프로젝트들에도 부족들이 관심을 갖고있습니다. 여러분들의 지속적이고 다양한 모양의 후원에 감사드리며, 하나님이 캐나다의 크리 부족들을 통하여 하시는 일들에 감사하며 찬송합니다.

Transitions: Papua New Guinea

From November 23 to December 7, Bougainville Referendum voters will decide to either have the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (ARoB) to remain a part of Papua New Guinea or become an independent nation. Results of the Referendum will be declared in December. The Papua New Guinea Bible Translation Association (PNGBTA) currently has six Bible translation projects on the Island.  Pray for the translators in the Taku’u, Uisai, Sibe, Saposa, Petats and Teop projects as they go through this process. Pray that translation progress will continue uninterrupted so speakers of these languages will soon have God’s Word. Pray for wisdom for the PNGBTA leaders as they relate with the translators and seek the best way to encourage and support them.

11월 23일부터 12월 7일까지 부가인빌 주민들이 파푸아뉴기니의 일부로 남거나 독립국가로 분리할지를 국민 투표하여 12월에는 그 결과가 발표됩니다. 현재 파푸아뉴기니 성경번역협회 (PNGBTA) 가 이 지역에 타쿠우, 위사이, 시베, 사포사, 페탓즈, 테옵등 여섯 개의 성경 번역 프로젝트를 진행중입니다. 과도기에 있는 번역가들을 위해, 프로젝트가 방해받지 않고 지속되어 부족 사람들이 속히 하나님의 말씀을 자기네 모어로 받게 되도록, 협회의 지도자들에게 지혜를 주셔서 사역자들을 격려하고 지원하는 최선의 방법을 찾도록 기도해주세요.

Critical staffing needs: New Zealand

Many Wycliffe Global Alliance organizations send out personnel to serve to serve the Bible translation movement in other parts of the world. Praise the Lord for the important part they play in sending people, praying and supporting them in these and many other tangible ways. Wycliffe New Zealand is one of those Alliance organizations. They are facing several critical administrative staffing needs. A long-serving person in a key role is moving to another part of the country. Some senior personnel are looking to retire or reduce their workload. Pray for the Lord to send people with a heart to serve and the right skill sets and experience to fill these roles as soon as possible.

많은 위클리프 국제연대 단체들이 해외로 사역자들을 파송하여 성경번역 운동에 동참하고 있습니다. 선교사를 보내고, 기도하고 후원하는 실질적인 방법들로 사역을 감당하는 이들의 중요한 역할들로 인해 주님을 찬양합니다. 위클리프뉴질랜드도 이 단체들 중 하나인데, 몇몇 주요 행정직에 인력 충원이 필요합니다. 주요 직책을 장기적으로 섬기던 핵심 행정가가 다른 지역으로 이사를 하고, 연로한 사역자들이 은퇴를 하거나 사역 시간을 줄이고 있기 떄문입니다. 섬김의 마음, 꼭 필요한 은사와 경험을 겸비한 사람들을 주께서 속히 보내 주시도록 손모아주세요.
