Korean Kairos Courses
Korean Diaspora team members, Daniel & Helen, Gyoojun & Jinsook and L & C, are thankful for the opportunities to serve the partnering churches with the Kairos course this fall. The Kairos course at Young Nak Presbyterian Church of Toronto (YKPC: Rev. Minho Song, senior pastor) and another course at One Hope Community Church in Vancouver (Rev. Daniel So, senior pastor)  will finish well this Tuesday. We will have a one-week intensive course, the first Korean Kairos course in Winnipeg next week, Nov. 11-15, hosted by Korean Church of Winnipeg (Rev. Chan-Kwon Seok, senior pastor). There will be another first Korean Kairos course in the Niagara area in February 2020, hosted by Niagara Korean Presbyterian Church (NKPC: Rev. Wook-Soo Suh, senior pastor). NKPC sent their leaders to the Kairos course at YKPC in Toronto for the last eight weeks. Please pray for Daniel and Helen Yoon as they prepare this course next year with NKPC leadership. Pray also that all God's churches and His people become a missional church and live a missional life.

한국어 카이로스 코스

이번 가을에 위클리프 사역자들이 여러 지역에서 협력교회들과 함께 카이로스 코스를 섬길 수 있음에 감사드립니다. 화요일(11월 5일) 에 토론토영락교회 (송민호 담임목사) 에서 카이로스 코스를 마치고, 밴쿠버에 있는 한소망교회 (소성범 담임목사) 에서도 역시 카이로스 코스가 이번 화요일에 마치게 됩니다. 다음 주에는 위니펙중앙교회 (석찬권 담임목사) 에서 위니펙 지역에서 처음으로 카이로스 코스가 열리게 되고, 한 주간 집중 코스를 섬기는 이규준/한진숙 선교사 부부와 L/C 선교사 부부를 위해 기도해 주세요. 내년 2월에는 이번 영락교회에 참석한 나이아가라 한인장로교회 참가자들이 조력자가 되어, 나이아가라 지역에서 또 처음으로 카이로스 코스가 열리게 됩니다. 준비하는 윤기태/양희숙 선교사 부부와 나이아가라한인장로교회 (서욱수 담임목사) 리더십을 위해 기도해 주시고, 계속해서 하나님의 교회, 모든 성도가 하나님의 선교에 함께 하는 선교적 교회, 선교적 삶을 이어가도록 기도해 주세요.

L & C: Bible translation in A country in Asia / Return assignment

L & C are invited to Korean Church of Winnipeg (KCW) this Sunday to share about their ministries for Z people in C country and the vision for the future. They will also serve at the one-week intensive Kairos course being held at the same church for the Korean pastors and missions team leaders in the Winnipeg area, together with other facilitators. Please pray that they will have a good time of sharing and fellowship for God's mission with KCW, and also that they will prepare well for their departure back to their field, to the Z people in a couple of months.

이번 주일에 동역해 주시는 위니펙중앙교회에서 그동안의 사역과 앞으로의 비전을 나누게 됩니다. 이어서 한 주간 동안 위니펙 지역 목회자들과 선교부 지도자들을 위한 카이로스 집중 코스를 다른 조력자들과 함께 섬깁니다. 이번 기회를 통해 더 깊은 나눔과 복음을 위한 사귐(교제)가 풍성하게 이뤄지도록, 앞으로 출국을 위한 준비가 잘 이뤄지도록 기도해 주세요.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)

Training Institute: The institute is preparing to start a new one-year cycle of basic training in January. They hope to include trainees from two new language communities in which development and translation work has not yet started. Please continue to pray for God’s guidance and discernment as the staff plan the modules, invite the communities to send trainees, and make all the practical arrangements for the year of training. Pray especially that trainees will be found who desire to see their communities grow and flourish through education and Scripture translation.

언어 훈련 연구소: 연구소는 내년 1월에 기본 훈련 코스의 새로운 1년 주기를 시작할 준비를 하고 있습니다. 언어 개발과 번역 작업이 아직 시작되지 않은 두 개의 새로운 언어 공동체 출신 훈련생들이 참여하기를 기도합니다.

연구소 사역자들이 모듈을 기획하고 지역사회에 연수생을 보내주기를 요청하고 훈련을 위한 모든 실무 준비를 하는 동안 하나님의 인도하심과 분별력을 가지도록 계속 손모아주세요. 특히 교육과 성경 번역을 통해 자기네 언어 공동체가 성장하고 풍성해지기를 바라는 훈련생들이 나올 수 있도록 기도헤주세요.

Peace in the midst of insecurity: West Asia

Security is one of the basic needs for the language teams and other people living in a turbulent part of West Asia. Pray for God’s grace for each team member to find a place of physical, emotional and spiritual peace. Pray that they will make good contingency plans. Pray Psalm 91:1, 2 and 11 over them. “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.’…Foe he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways…” (NIV)

불안 중의 평안: 서아시아

서아시아 분쟁 지역에 사는 언어팀과 주민들에게 안전은 기본적인 필요 사항입니다. 팀원들이 신체적, 정서적, 영적 평안을 얻을 수 있는 장소를 찾고, 비상 사태를 대비한 지혜로운 대피계획을 세우도록, 시편 91:1, 2절과 11절을 가지고 기도해 주세요. “지존자의 은밀한 곳에 거주하며 전능자의 그늘 아래에 사는 자여 나는 여호와를 향하여 말하기를 그는 나의 피난처요 나의 요새요 내가 의뢰하는 하나님이라 하리니…그가 너를 위하여 그의 천사들을 명령하사 네 모든 길에서 너를 지키게 하심이라.”(개역개정)

Difficult access: Mediterranean region

Many of the translation projects in the Mediterranean region involve language communities that are difficult to access due to geography, politics and religion. Pray for new open doors so teams can access these languages. Pray for translators to make divine connections with people who have moved away from their home areas, but are willing to be involved in language work outside their community. Pray for staff who have been able to get in to the language communities. Pray that they can develop trust with members of the community; that as followers of Christ their lives can be positive witnesses; and that translation can proceed unhindered.

지중해 지역의 많은 번역 프로젝트가 지리적, 정치적, 종교적 이유로 접근이 용이하지 않은 언어 부족들을 섬기고 있습니다. 주께서 문을 열어 주셔서 번역팀이 이들에게 다가갈 수 있도록, 고향을 떠났지만 번역 사역에 동참하고자 하는 조력자들을 하나님께서 연결해 주시도록, 현지에 들어간 사역자들을 위해서는 마을 사람들과 신뢰를 형성하고 그리스도의 제자로서 삶을 통해 긍정적인 증인이 되므로 사역이 아무런 방해없이 진전되도록 기도해주세요.
