LiFEgame Prep Meeting

English congregation of Vaughan Community Church will host LiFEgame and it will be held at Upper Canada Camp, Dec. 26-28. The prep meeting will be held this Saturday morning between the Korean Diaspora team and the VCC pastoral staff team. Please pray for this prep meeting, as well as recruiting of the volunteer staff and version upgrade to LiFEgame 3.0 at this time.

라이프게임 준비 회의

12월 26-28일에 본한인교회 영어권 회중을 위한 라이프게임이 Upper Canada Camp에서 열리며, 이를 위해 오는 토요일 오전에 준비 모임이 있습니다. 교역자 팀과의 준비 회의, 자원봉사 스탭들 모집 및 새로 업그레이드된 버전(3.0) 으로 잘 준비되도록 기도해주세요. 

Wycliffe Gala

Wycliffe Canada will hold a gala event on Saturday, Oct. 19, in downtown Toronto, to raise funds to support Bible translation for Bibleless peoples. One of the translators will share intriguing Bible translation stories as a delicious meal is served with some entertainment and a silent auction for donated items. Please pray that many people will come and share the joy and privilege of being a part of the Bible translation movement.

위클리프캐나다에서는 10월 19일 (토요일)에 성경번역선교 후원의 밤 행사를 토론토에서 갖습니다. 만찬과 함께 감동적인 성경번역 사역 나눔 외에도 간단한 친교 순서와 후원자들이 기증한 물품들에 대한 경매 순서도 있습니다. 많은 분들이 이번 행사에 동참할 수 있도록 기도해주세요.

Cree Initiative: Naskapi

Contracts were signed with the National Research Council (NRC Canada), the department of the Canadian government that is supplying the funding for the COILC project in partnership with 7000 Languages. All the components are now in place to begin work on this project. One way that this has benefitted the translation team so far is that it has provided funding for new equipment (four new laptop computers) for the Naskapi translators to use in their day-to-day work. It is our hope that during the production of the Online Language Course this project will have a positive influence on the linguistic knowledge of the translation team, and then after the Online Language Course goes “live” (by the spring of 2020) then community members will have access to the course and be able to benefit from it. So, the “impact” is likely to be significant, but gradual and over the long-term.

크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 나스카피

7000개 언어유산 단체와 제휴하여 원주민 언어 연구 프로젝트에 대한 재정 지원을 하고있는 캐나다 연방 정부의 국가 연구 자문위원회와 협약이 체결되었고, 이 프로젝트에 착수하기 위한 모든 구성 요소는 갖추어져 있습니다. 현재까지 번역팀에 유익을 준 것중 하나는 나스카피 번역팀이 사역에 필요한 새로운 장비 (노트북 컴퓨터 4대) 에 대한 재정을 제공받았습니다. 이 프로젝트가 온라인 언어 코스를 만드는 동안 번역 팀의 언어학적 지식에 긍정적인 영향을 끼치기를 소망하며, 온라인 언어 코스가 2020년 봄까지 출시되고, 계속 "활용"되면, 원주민들이 이 코스를 통해 많은 유익을 얻을 것입니다. 점진적이고 장기적으로 볼 때 아주 "좋은 결과"가 있을 것 같습니다. 이 일들을 위하여 기도해주세요.

Developing discipleship training materials: Tonga

Pray for the staff of Wycliffe Tonga Missions as they work on developing discipleship materials to use in the Amatakiloa Community Transformation program. Amatakiloa means ‘let your light shine’ in Tongan. These materials will be used to teach and encourage communities in Tonga for healthy and godly living. Ask the Lord for His wisdom and knowledge for the staff as they work on these materials. As they share and testify through their lives ask God to accomplish his purposes.

제자 훈련 교재 개발: 통가

위클리프통가선교회가 아마다킬로아 지역 사회 변화를 위한 제자 훈련 교재를 개발 중입니다. 아마다킬로아는 통가어로 ‘빛을 비춘다’는 뜻인데 통가 공동체가 건강하고 경건하게 바뀌도록 이 교재를 가지고 교육과 격려를 하게될 것입니다. 주의 지혜와 지식으로 통가선교회 회원들이 교재를 잘 개발하도록, 이들이 삶을 나누고 증거할 때 하나님의 뜻이 이루어지도록 기도해주세요.

Women adult literacy fluency classes: Papua New Guinea

Praise the Lord for the ongoing Adult Literacy Fluency classes for the Barai women in Oro Province, Papua New Guinea. The women are using the fluency reading classes to study the Word of God in their language. Many more women are attending these classes now and are motivated to reach out to other neighboring language groups. Praise the Lord for the support and encouragement from their husbands and families to participate in the outreach initiatives. The Barai New Testament was completed and launched in 1995. Since then a revision was done and translation of the Old Testament is in progress.

여성 성인 문해반: 파푸아뉴기니

파푸아뉴기니 오로 지역의 바라이 부족 여성들을 위한 성인 문해교실이 지속되게 하시는 주님을 찬양합니다. 여성들은 하나님의 말씀을 자기네 모어로 읽는 수업을 향상시키고 있습니다. 점점 더 많은 여성들이 문해반에 참여하고 이웃 부족어권들을 동원하려는 의욕도 보이고 있습니다. 이들이 전도 활동에 동참하도록 격려와 지지로 함께 참여한 남편들과 가족들을 인해 주님을 찬송합니다. 바라이 부족어 신약은 1995년에 봉헌되었고 그 이후로 한 번 개정이 되었으며 구약이 번역 중입니다.
