Monthly virtual Prayer Meeting

Prayer Ministries of Wycliffe Canada is continuing with the monthly online prayer on the second Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m. MDT. The next meeting is scheduled for July 11, for Eurasia. This is an opportunity to listen to a story of a young adult who met Jesus while involved in other religions and came to serve as a national Bible translator. Bible translation is so much more than a task. It is also a ministry that results in transformation by God’s Spirit and through the prayers of the Church. Please pray for more people to join us in this extraordinary prayer meeting. 월례 온라인 기도회

위클리프캐나다 기도팀은 매월 둘째 주 토요일 오전 10시 (중부시간)에 온라인 기도 모임으로 모이는데 7월 

11일에는 유라시아 지역을 위하여 기도할 예정입니다. 이번에는 타종교권에서 예수를 만나 이제는 성경번역 사역자로 헌신하고 있는 청년의 이야기를 들을 수 있는 기회입니다. 성경 번역 사역은 단순한 과업 수행이 아니라, 하나님의 성령과 교회의 기도를 통해 변혁을 일으키는 사역입니다. 더 많은 사람들이 아주 특별한 기도 모임에 동참할 수 있도록 기도해주시고, 관심있는 분들은 윤기태 선교사에게로 알려주시기 바랍니다.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)

Training Institute: Classes were closed down for a few weeks but are now underway again, using virtual technology. Pray that the full set of trainees will be able to complete the Core Module and the following Literacy Module. Please pray for the institute administrator as he tries to keep the one-year training schedule moving forward. There are challenges due to the COVID-19 and to the difficulty of accessing funds. 

SRA leaders: H and L are continuing their SRA work from Canada but hoping to return to SRA soon. They write: “Our organization is not recommending members return to the field before July 31st. So, our visa extensions which need to be stamped into our passports on the field before June 30th will now need to be processed in Canada instead. Pray for favor with the visa officials as we try to get that done here instead of on the field.”

실크 로드 프로젝트: 성경번역, 보안지역 (수신자 이외에 배포하거나 온라인상에 게시하지 말아주세요)

훈련 기관: 강의들이 지난 몇 주 동안 휴강되었으나 인터넷을 이용한 원격 강의로 다시 개강했습니다. 교육생 전원이 핵심 교과목과 이어지는 후속 문해 과정을 잘 마칠 수 있도록, 1년간의 훈련 일정이 순조롭게 진행되길 애쓰는 행정팀을 위하여, 코로나로 인한 금용기관에서의 자금 인출 문제를 위하여 손모아주세요.

프로젝트 책임자들: H와 L 선교사 부부는 코로나로 일시 귀국하여 캐나다에서 원격 사역을 계속하고 있지만 곧 현지로 다시 귀임하기를 원하는데 다음과 같이 말합니다: "우리 본부에서는 7월 31일 이전까지는 선교사들이 현지에 복귀하는 것을 권하고 있지 않습니다. 그래서, 6월 30일 이전에 현지에서 비자 연장 절차를 시작해야 하는 것을 이제는 캐나다 내에서 처리해야 합니다. 해당국 주캐나다 총영사관의 비자 담당관들이 이에 대한 호의를 베풀 수 있도록 기도해주세요."

Session on leadership during a pandemic: Malaysia
Wycliffe Malaysia co-hosted an online session for leaders and pastors to discuss and share possible solutions about the needs and challenges that churches face in the midst of the pandemic restrictions. The meeting was conducted in May using the Participatory Method of Engaging Communities. Praise God for Executive Director Lay Leng Tan’s leadership, the wisdom of the facilitators, good feedback from the participants, and strong internet connections. Pray that those who attended will benefit greatly from the workshop and apply what they learned. Ask God for wisdom as this group continues to meet to follow up on certain tasks.

대유행병 기간중 리더십 모임: 말레이시아
위클리프 말레이시아는 리더들과 목회자들이 대유행병으로 인한 제한들 가운데서 교회가 직면한 필요와 도전에 대한 가능한 해결책들을 논의하고 나누는 온라인 세션을 공동 주최했습니다. 관련 공동체들의 자발적 참여 방식으로 지난 5월에 진행되었습니다. 레이 대표선교사의 리더십과 조력자들의 지혜, 참가자들의 좋은 반응과 원활했던 인터넷 연결등으로 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다. 참여했던 모든 이들이 이 워크숍을 통해 큰 유익을 얻고 배운 것을 잘 적용하도록, 이 그룹이 계속 만나며 특정 사역들을 추진해 나아갈 때 지혜주시도록 기도해주세요.

Leadership development: Europe
Stewart Johnson oversees leadership development for the Bible translation organizations in Europe. Pray for the weekly meetings he has with leaders and potential leaders on Skype, Zoom or by phone. Ask God to show him how best to mentor and guide the Directors, Board members and Wycliffe Global Alliance staff. Pray that he will be successful in assisting them in their growth and development as leaders. Ask the Lord to provide Stewart with the knowledge and discernment he needs daily. In these unprecedented times, the Europe Area Bible translation organizations need strong courageous leaders who can make well-informed decisions while humbly attending to those in their care.

스튜어트 선교사는 유럽지역 성경 번역 단체들의 리더십 개발을 섬기고있습니다. 스카이프와 줌, 또는 전화를 통해 지도자및 차세대 지도팀과의 주간 모임을 갖고 있습니다. 디렉터들, 이사회 멤버들과 위클리프 국제연대 사역자들을 멘토링하고 인도 할 수 있는 최선의 방법을 보여 주시고 리더로 성장하고 발전하는데 성공적으로 도움을 줄 수 있도록, 스튜어트 선교사에게 매일의 필요한 지식과 분별력을 주시도록 손모아주세요. 전례없는 이 시국에 유럽 지역 성경 번역 단체들은 자기네가 돌보고 있는 일꾼들을 겸손하게 섬기며 동시에 시의 적절한 결정을 내릴 수 있는 강력하고 용기있는 리더들이 필요합니다.

Praise: God provided a buyer for our surplus Helio Courier parts and the three containers containing these parts arrived safely in Alaska.

The Yansi translation team in the Democratic Republic of Congo acquired a 4WD vehicle, funded by JAARS, and trained in its use and maintenance with a JAARS team. Pray this resource will enable the team to work in remote communities more effectively.
