L & C: Bible translation in a country in Asia / Return assignment
Thank you for your prayers for L and C! They have a collaboration agreement with the neighboring translation team, which enables them to continue working remotely on the Z language translation, even while they are still waiting in Korea (due to the pandemic), praying to go back to their field assignment soon. Please pray for L's deeper insights as he keeps analyzing the Z language and working on the translation of the Bible so that the gospel will be delivered to the Z people appropriately in their language and culture. By His grace, we are also thankful for C's acquisition of the Korean Language Teacher Certificate for foreigners. Please pray that this will become a useful and strategic ministry platform. Pray also that God's Spirit will fill them with wisdom and good health as they serve remotely in this unusual situation.

C 선교사는 외국인을 위한 한국어 교원 자격증을 받게 되었음에 감사 드립니다! 앞으로 유용하고 전략적인 사역 도구가 되도록, 제한된 상황에서도 최선을 다하고 있는 L & C선교사 부부가 성령으로 충만하고 강건하도록 기도해 주세요.
Global Connect 2021
Global Connect is a virtual gathering of the Wycliffe Global Alliance. It provides the opportunity for Wycliffe Canada to gather with other Alliance organizations to celebrate, learn, grow and connect. The event will take place Sep 13-17. Please pray that God’s purposes will be accomplished through Global Connect. For the Americas, prayer time will be each day at 10:00 am MDT.

글로벌 커넥트는 위클리프 국제 연대 소속 단체들의 온라인 모임입니다. 9월 13일 (월)부터 17일(금)까지 열리는 이번 행사를 통하여 위클리프 캐나다가 다른 국제 연대 단체들과 함께 서로 축복하고, 배우고, 성장하며, 교류할 수 있는 기회가 됩니다. 이번 모임을 통하여 하나님이 예비하신 목적이 잘 이루어지도록 기도해 주세요. 미주 지역 중보 기도 시간은 매일 정오 12시 (동부 시간)입니다.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)
Q Project: Praise God that the drafting of Revelation is completed as is the long-delayed consultant checking of Hebrews. Praise God for guiding R and his wife as they support their eldest son through depression. Also praise God that all key project staff have now received their Corona vaccinations. Please pray for leads for new sustainable funding options for the MLE project as SIL support tapers off. Pray for good progress on completion of the review of consultant notes on Hebrews and making the necessary revisions. Pray for perseverance and encouragement for R as he works in isolation on very challenging checking work as they near the completion of the New Testament. Pray also for the two consultants to have the time available to move ahead with checking the last few books.

Q 프로젝트: 오랫동안 지체되었던 히브리서의 자문위원 점검과 같이 요한계시록의 초벌 번역이 이제 완성되어 하나님을 찬양합니다. 큰 아들의 건강 문제로 마음 고생을 많이하는 현지 조력자 R 부부를 하나님이 은혜로 인도해 주심에 감사드리며, 프로젝트의 핵심 사역자들 모두 백신 접종을 잘 마쳐 하나님을 찬송합니다. 에스아이엘의 재정 지원이 줄면서 다중 언어교육 프로젝트를 위한 지속 가능한 자금 지원책이 마련될 수 있도록, 히브리서 번역 자문 노트의 검토를 마치고 필요한 개정 작업이 잘 진척 되도록, 신약의 완역이 임박함에 따라 매우 어려운 점검 작업을 혼자서 감당하는 R 에게 인내와 격려를 얻도록, 또한 자문 위원들이 마지막 몇 권 남은 부분들을 점검할 수 있는 여력이 생기도록 기도해 주세요.

The pandemic hit hard in Bangladesh, but praise God for online options in Bible translation. Rejoice in the Lord for the completion of a children’s Bible in the T* language for the YouVersion app by Connections, an Alliance organization in Bangladesh, together with partners. Pray for wisdom in the promotion of this Bible. May God work in the hearts and minds of the T* children to grow up knowing Jesus. *pseudonym
어린이를 위한 성경 앱: 방글라데시
대유행병으로 방글라데시가 큰 타격을 입었지만 성경 번역의 온라인 사역들로 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다. 방글라데시의 국제연대 단체인 커넥션이 동역자들과 함께 유버젼 앱으로 T (보안명) 부족어 어린이 성경을 완역하여 감사드립니다. 이 성경을 잘 홍보할 수 있는 지혜 주시기를, 하나님께서 T 언어권 아이들의 마음과 생각에 역사하셔서 예수님을 아는 지식이 자라도록 기도해 주세요.
Approaching 2025: Americas
In 1999, Wycliffe International (predecessor to the Wycliffe Global Alliance) and SIL International adopted Vision 2025, which was summarized as: Motivated by the pressing need for all peoples to have access to the Word of God in a language that speaks to their hearts…. We embrace the vision that by the year 2025 a Bible translation project will be in progress for every people group that needs it. 2025 is only about 3.5 years away. Other vision initiatives have sprung up in the Bible translation movements around the world (e.g., Vision 2033, OBT 1000 and Vision 2050), but Vision 2025 has been a primary focus for many Americas Area Alliance organizations. Area staff desire to see it accomplished, but want to see it done in keeping with the original commitment of working collaboratively under God’s direction. Many organizations in the Americas are focused on achieving Vision 2025 through collaboration but need greater understanding of how they can best work together. Pray for wisdom for leaders and for God’s guidance.
