Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea
Praise the Lord! Your prayers are answered. We are grateful that the translation team members (Jack, Lebi, Phocus, Lynette, and Rosemary) arrived at Alotau as scheduled, and the Gospel of Luke’s consultant checking was done well. At the recommendation of the village community, Phocus, who participated for the first time as a mother tongue checker, was able to recover and participate in the consultant meeting only by the Grace of God, despite unexpected health difficulties due to the Dinghy boat's engine failure during the sea travel. Especially, Phocus testified that he was able to overcome the difficult situation of the spiritual battle, and was encouraged by the words of Luke 7:18-28, translated into Kaninuwa. Please pray for the translation team (including Joseph and Joyce) as they go through the final revision of the Gospel of Luke and prepare the script for the "Jesus" film. They are planning to do translation checking on chapters 20-21 of John in November, so please pray that the team members will cooperate well to complete the draft of the translation well.

예정대로 알로타우에 도착하여 누가 복음 점검을 잘 마쳤음에 감사드립니다. 마을 공동체의 추천으로 이번에 모어 점검자로 처음 참여한 포카스가 선박의 엔진 고장으로 인하여 예상 외의 장시간의 여행길에서 건강상의 어려움을 겪었음에도 불구하고, 하나님의 은혜로, 회복이 되어 점검 모임에 잘 참여할 수 있었습니다. 특별히 포카스가 경험한 영적 전쟁의 힘든 상황에서도 카니누와어로 번역된 누가복음 7장 18-28절 말씀을 통해, 힘을 얻어 이겨낼 수 있었다고 간증했습니다. 누가 복음의 최종 수정작업을 거쳐, “예수” 영화 대본을 잘 준비할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 또한 11월 중에 요한복음 20-21장을 점검할 예정인데, 팀원들이 협력하여 초벌 번역을 잘 마무리할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.
Wycliffe World Day of Prayer
Wycliffe observes the World Day of Prayer every year, traditionally held on November 11. This year Wycliffe Canada is collaborating with OneBook and CanIL. We will be having two different times —Wednesday, Nov 10 at 6 p.m. (ET), Friday, Nov 12 at 1 p.m. (ET). These will be one-hour virtual events using the theme of Strength for the Journey. This Day of Prayer is open to everyone. Please pray that many people will come to these meetings to pray together for the needs of Bible translation and our field partners.

위클리프는 매년 11월 11일을 전세계적으로 성경없는 부족들을 위한 기도의 날로 정하여 기도하고 있습니다.
위클리프 캐나다는 자매단체인 원북, 캔아이엘과 함께 2일 동안 각 1 시간씩 온라인으로 모일 예정입니다.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)
“Q” Project: Praise God that the Q MLE school is making a good impression with the district education department by proving that mother tongue first education is superior to immersion in the national languages. Parents of children in the village school are very happy with the results and are invested in the success of the school. Please pray for this MLE program.

“Q” 프로젝트: “Q” 다중 언어 학교에서 모국어 우선 교육이 현지 공용어 집중 교육 보다 우수하다는 것을 증명함으로써 지역 교육구청에 좋은 인상을 주게 된 것을 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다. 마을 학교 아이들의 부모들은 그 결과에 매우 기뻐하며 다중언어학교의 성공에 열정을 쏟고 있습니다. 다중 언어 학교 프로그램들이 하나님의 은혜로 좋은 열매 맺도록 게속 기도해 주세요.

Leadership transitions: Taiwan
Albert Fung, Executive Director of Wycliffe Taiwan, will finish serving in this role by the end of 2021. At the same time, a new board will replace the current Wycliffe Taiwan board. Praise God for the faithful service to the Lord of Wycliffe Taiwan leaders. Please pray for the preparation for these two important leadership transitions. Pray for wisdom for the board in selecting the new Executive Director. Pray for the Lord’s abundant grace and guidance as the current leaders seek to finish well and transition to the next season. Ask the Lord for a smooth adjustment for the incoming Executive Director and the team.

위클리프 대만 대표인 알버트 선교사는 금년말에 임기가 끝나고 이와 동시에 위클리프 대만 이사회 또한 새 일꾼들로 채워지게 됩니다. 위클리프 대만 리더십팀의 신실한 섬김을 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다. 이 두가지 중요한 리더십 교체을 위한 준비가 잘 이루어 지도록, 이사회가 새 대표를 선출하는 데 지혜주시기를, 현 리더십팀이 잘 마무리하고 다음 팀과 인수 인계할 때 주의 풍성한 은혜와 인도하심이 있도록, 차기 대표와 본부 팀이 이 때에 순조롭게 적응할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.
Leading in partnership: Thailand
Pray for the partnerships being developed amongs missions organisations OMF Thailand, OM Thailand, SIM International and Wycliffe Thai Foundation. The leaders of the four organisations will meet and talk about how they can work together to mobilize the church in Thailand for missions. Ask God for guidance as the partners work towards one vision statement to summarize the objectives of the partnership and decide on plans for church mobilization in Thailand. Pray for wisdom and unity in expanding God’s kingdom in Thailand and beyond.

태국내 국제 선교 단체들인 오엠에프(OMF), 오엠(OM), 씸(SIM)및 위클리프간의 파트너십이 발전하게 되도록 기도해 주세요. 각 단체의 지도자들이 만나 태국 교회를 선교에 동원할 수 있도록 어떻게 협력할 수 있는지에 대해 논의할 것입니다. 동역 단체들이 파트너십의 목표를 요약하고 태국에서 교회 동원을 위한 전략을 결정하는 하나의 비전 선언문을 만들때 하나님께서 인도해 주시도록, 태국과 열방에서 하나님 나라를 확장함에 지혜와 연합을 허락해 주시도록 기도해 주세요.

Pray for our “Passport to Missions” event on Nov 8-9. Ask that the children and their families will learn more about JAARS Aviation, Papua New Guinea, Cameroon, and Deaf language groups.

In response to pandemic restrictions, the staff conducting our weekly JAARS Center meeting developed a Zoom broadcast, allowing more people, to join us for praise and prayer.
대유행병 기간중 대응 방안으로 잘스센터 주간 정기 모임을 진행하는 팀원들이 줌 방송으로 개발하여 더 많은 사람들이 온라인으로 참여하여 함께 찬양과 기도를 할 수 있습니다.
Pray for our Missions at the Airport staff. They will be traveling every week this month to locations from TX to VA to share with schools and offer rides.
