Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea
Last time, Bernard, the new chairperson of the translation committee, came to Alotau with Soktes and Levi. Thankfully, with the support of villagers, he purchased necessary stationery and plywood for repairing desks and blackboards that the translation team had been using for a long time. Please pray for a good environment so that the translators can focus on the draft of the Gospel of Matthew, and pray for wisdom and understanding as well. As Linette translates the narration part of the JESUS film with Sunday school teachers, please pray that she can work well with fellow translators to complete the translation smoothly. The Parks will have home assignment in Canada for about a year from June this year. During the home assignment, they will serve with the Kaninuwa translation team remotely through the Internet. In the meantime, they make Bible stories and children's storybooks for a year in advance. Please pray for the Parks to prepare well.

지난번 번역팀원(속테스, 레비)들과 함께 신임 번역위원회 의장인 버나드도 함께 알로타우에 왔었는데, 감사하게도 마을 사람들의 자력 후원으로 번역팀이 오랫동안 쓰고 있던 책상과 칠판 수리를 위한 합판들과 필요한 문구류들을 구매해 가지고 갔습니다. 번역자들이 마태복음 초역에 집중할 수 있도록 환경을 허락해 주시고, 지혜와 명철을 더해 주시도록, 리넷이 주일학교 교사들과 함께 ‘예수 영화’ 나레이션 부분을 번역할 때, 동료 번역자들과 잘 합력해서 번역을 마칠 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 박 선교사 부부는 금년 6월부터 약 1년동안 캐나다에서 본국 사역을 하게 됩니다. 본국 사역 중에도 인터넷을 통해 카니누와 번역팀과 원격으로 섬길 예정인데, 그 기간을 위하여 미리 1년 치 성경 이야기와 어린이 이야기책들을 잘 준비할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)
The following prayer requests are prayers for the soil tilling efforts in this sensitive area. By serving the community in sustainable literacy and education development, the team is loving the community in very practical ways which pave the way for sustainable Bible translation work, which we believe the Lord will use to transform lives for His glory.
The Q project:
Despite the many challenges faced by the translation team, the Q New Testament is nearing completion. The book of Hebrews has at last been consultant checked, and the remaining books in the New Testament will also soon be checked. God has provided for staffing needs at important times: when the translation consultant for the project had to step down, a replacement was soon found; and in spite of a very difficult year in leadership, the project facilitator was able to take some extra time to work on this project. The progress on the NT is encouraging, but there are still major challenges facing the team as they work to complete this translation. Praise God that the consultant and project facilitator were able to devote time to this project. Please pray that God would enable the team to meet with the consultant in person this year, in spite of Covid restrictions. Pray that God would prepare the hearts of the people who will read and hear this translation in the language of their heart.

실크로드의 기도 요청들은 보안 지역의 척박한 땅을 일구는 사역들을 중보하는 기도입니다. 사역팀이 지속 가능한 문해 사역과 교육 개발을 섬기며 매우 실질적인 방법으로 공동체를 사랑하는데, 이로서 사람들의 삶이 변화되고 주께 영광 돌리게 되리라 믿습니다.
Q 프로젝트: 번역팀이 직면한 많은 난관에도 불구하고 Q언어의 신약은 마무리 단계에 와 있습니다. 드디어 히브리서의 자문위원 점검을 마쳤고, 신약의 남은 책들도 곧 점검받을 예정입니다. 하나님은 아주 중요한 시기에 필요한 인력을 채워 주셨습니다: 프로젝트의 번역 자문위원이 사임해야 했을 때, 곧 후임자를 찾게 해 주셨고, 리더쉽이 매우 힘든 지난 한 해 동안 프로젝트 조력자가 좀 더 많은 시간을 할애해서 도와 주었습니다. 신약에서의 진전은 고무적이지만 완역을 향해 가는 길에는 여전히 팀이 직면한 주요 과제들이 있습니다. 자문위원과 프로젝트 조력자가 함께 이 프로젝트에 진력할 수 있음에 하나님을 찬양합니다. 올해는 코로나의 제약중에도 팀이 자문위원과 직접 대면하여 만날 수 있도록, 자기네 말로 된 말씀을 읽고 들을 사람들의 마음을 하나님께서 준비시켜 주시도록 기도해 주세요.

Starting Bible Translation in six languages in DR Congo: Netherlands/DR Congo
Praise God for encouraging news from CITBA (Interconfessional Centre for Bible Translation and Literacy), a partner organisation of Wycliffe Netherlands, located in Isiro, DR Congo. In 2022, with active support from Wycliffe and the church leadership, translation of the Bible began for the 810,000 speakers of Boa-Yewa, Boa-Leboale, Budu-Mahaa, Mangbetu-Malele, Mangbetu-Makare, and Mangbetu-Mabiti. Translation of Ruth, Luke, and Acts 1-8 is planned to begin in three years. Use of the Bible in public worship services in a language that speaks to their hearts will promote active use of audio Bibles and printed Bibles. Also, using a language and form they clearly understand is beneficial in information sessions on trauma and HIV/AIDS. Pray for 30 community members in the language training courses, and pray for their translation efforts. Ask for God’s guidance in the battle against spiritual challenges experienced by many, some of which relate to idolatry, addictions, sexual abuse.
콩고 민주 공화국에서 6개 언어로 성경 번역을 시작함: 네덜란드/콩고민주공화국
콩고민주공화국 이시로에 위치한 위클리프네덜란드의 동역 기관인 초교파 성경 번역및 문해 센터 (CITBA)에서 전해 온 고무적인 소식에 하나님을 찬양합니다. 2022년 위클리프와 교회 지도자들의 적극적인 지원으로 보아예와, 보아레보알레, 부두마하, 망베투말레, 망베투마카레, 망베투마비티 언어권 81만 명의 소수민족들을 대상으로 성경 번역이 시작되었고, 룻기, 누가복음, 사도행전(1-8장)은 3년 이내에 착수할 예정입니다. 공예배중 자기들의 모어로 번역된 성경을 사용하면서 오디오 성경과 인쇄본 성경 사용도 늘어나게 될 것입니다. 또한 자기네들이 명확하게 이해할 수 있는 언어와 형식을 사용하는 것은 트라우마와 에이즈등에 대한 설명회에도 도움을 줄 수 있습니다. 언어훈련 과정에 있는 30명의 공동체 사람들과 이들의 번역 사역을 위해, 또한 많은 이들이 겪고 있는 우상숭배와 중독, 성적 학대 등의 영적 도전에 맞서 싸울 때 능히 이길 수 있도록 하나님께서 인도해 주시도록 기도해 주세요.
A new approach to Sign language translation: Spain
The team for the Catalan Sign Language project hopes to complete their New Testament within the next few years using the innovative approach of computer-generated sign language. Pray for this team as they produce the first-ever New Testament developed this way. Pray also for the Spanish Sign Language team, now adapting the Catalan translation into Spanish Sign Language, as well as producing the New Testament in a video version.
