L & C: Bible translation in a sensitive area of Asia / remote assignment
L & C moved to J*J Island in January and are adjusting well to the new environment. All administrative procedures to join the neighboring team have been done, so they have time to get to know each other with new team members. L is looking at the language system of the new dialect. From March, L & C plans to learn the local language in connection with the sensitive area. However, it has many challenges because it is learning by not face-to-face. Please pray that they open their ears and mouth for learning the target language well, pray that the acquisition of language online using VPN is safe, especially for the mother tongue teacher in a sensitive area. L is continuing to work in the area of exegesis that he has been doing so far. Pray that all things will work together and the ministries will proceed smoothly.
L and C 선교사: 성경번역, 아시아 보안지역 / 원격 사역
지난 1월에 *ㅈㅈ도로 이사하고 새로운 환경에 잘 적응하고 있습니다. 이웃 언어 사역팀에 합류하는 모든 행정 절차도 마무리 되어 새로운 팀 멤버들과 서로 알아가는 시간을 갖고 있습니다. 요즘은 새 방언의 언어 시스템을 살펴보고 있습니다. 3월 부터 보안지역에 있는 현지인과 연계해서 언어를 배울 계획입니다. 그러나 온라인으로 현지어를 배우는 것이기 때문에 많은 도전이 됩니다. 현지어 습득에 귀와 입이 열려서 잘 배울 수 있도록, VPN 을 사용하여 온라인으로 하는 언어 습득이 보안상 문제가 없도록, 특히 보안 지역의 현지인이 안전하도록 기도해 주세요. 그 동안 해 오던 주해 분야 사역도 계속해서 병행합니다. 이 모든 일이 함께 협력하여 사역들이 순조롭게 진행되도록 기도해 주세요.

Bible translation survey: Philippines
Language survey involves gathering linguistic, social and community information in order to create helpful and effective language development activities for Bible translation. A team from the Translators Association of the Philippines (TAP) travelled to Bontoc, Mountain Province and completed the survey of Bible translation needs for Bontoc speakers in the area. Praise God for leading them to people who were very helpful, and for their safe travels and favour at checkpoints and local government units. Ask God for his wisdom, protection and provision as TAP surveys another ten languages. Pray that God will bring a team together to survey the needs of the remaining language groups in the Philippines.

언어 조사는 성경 번역을 위한 유용하고 효과적인 언어 개발 활동들을 만들기 위해 언어, 사회, 공동체의 정보를 수집하는 것들을 수반합니다. 필리핀 번역가 협회(TAP)의 한 팀이 산악 지대인 본톡에 가서 그 지역의 원주민들을 위한 성경 번역필요에 대한 조사를 마쳤습니다. 하나님께서 그들을 도와줄 분들을 만나게 하시고 안전한 여행과 검문소와 지방 관청으로 부터 호의적인 협조를 받을 수 있게 하신 하나님을 찬양합니다. 이 협회가 또 다른 10개의 언어를 조사할 때에도 하나님의 보호와 공급하심이 있기를 기도합니다. 하나님께서 필리핀에 아직도 남아있는 성경 없는 언어권들의 성경 번역 필요를 조사할 수 있도록 팀을 보내주시기를 함께 기도해 주세요.
Bible Translation Project for persecuted people: Norway
Wycliffe Norway leads a Bible translation project for Raja* speakers in Asia. Most Raja people follow another world religion and the few Christ-followers experience varying levels of persecution. In 2012 Raja Bible translation began in Norway, with a Raja refugee as the mother-tongue translator. The translation team also includes two trained linguists and exegetes, both with prior Bible translation experience, and a Raja speaker who joined the team recently. Community checking is done over the internet, and feedback is gathered from Raja speakers in the diaspora in many locations. Several published Bible portions, including Jonah, Ruth, Joseph Story (Genesis 37-50), Luke, the ‘Jesus Film’ and Acts, are available in audio and script and are on various apps and websites. Ephesians will be published soon. Pray for: 1-The recording and distribution of Ephesians. 2-The upcoming community check of the Gospel of Mark, and preparations for the final consultant check. 3-Good collaboration and mutual understanding between the four translation team members. 4-Christ-followers to be strengthened in their walk with Jesus, and that more people will come to faith, through the translated Raja Scriptures. 위클리프 노르웨이는 아시아의 라자* 언어권을 위한 성경 번역 프로젝트를 주도하고 있습니다. 대부분의 라자 사람들은 다른 주요 종교를 믿고 소수의 기독교인들이 여러 형태의 박해를 경험하고 있습니다. 2012년 노르웨이에서 시작된 라자* 성경 번역은 라자 출신 난민이었던 한 모어 번역자를 통하여 시작되었습니다. 번역팀에는 성경번역 경험이 있는 두 명의 훈련된 언어학자와 주석가, 최근 합류한 라자 사람이 포함되어 있습니다. 마을 점검 방법은 인터넷을 통해 이루어지며 곳곳에 흩어져 사는 라자 디아스포라 들로부터 피드백을 수집하는 방식입니다. 요나서, 룻기, 요셉 이야기(창세기 37~50장), 누가복음, '예수 영화', 사도행전등 이미 출판된 여러 쪽번역과 오디오, 그리고 필사본등인데, 여러 다양한 앱과 웹사이트를 통하여 배부되고 있습니다. 에베소서는 곧 출간될 예정입니다. 에베소서의 녹음과 배포를 위하여, 곧 있을 마가복음 공동체 점검과 최종 자문위원 점검 준비를 위하여, 네명의 번역 팀원들간의 협력과 상호 이해를 위하여, 신자들이 예수님과 동행하며 강건케되며 더 많은 사람들이 라자* 말로 번역된 말씀을 통하여 복음이 확산되도록 기도해 주세요. This month (March), about 120 students need transport from their villages to a four-month Bible school in Pucallpa, Peru. Pray for wisdom and safety for SAMAIR as it provides this transport amid difficult COVID-19 restrictions.
