Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea

We want to celebrate the 10 years of the Parks' services in Papua New Guinea this month, giving thanks to God as it has been possible by His grace! The Parks are communicating with Sibesibe village and are waiting for a reply from the translation team in the village, including the revision notes of Luke 13-24 and the materials needed for the draft of the Gospel of John. Please pray for God’s wisdom for Soktes, Jack, Levi, and Sylvester as they obey the call of mother-tongue translators for the Kaninuwa people. Pray especially for Sylvester whose mother (the wife of Pastor Ambrose) has died of a chronic disease. Pray for God's comfort for Sylvester’s family and also for a prompt reply from the translation team, re the draft of John 1, 2 and 3, so the Parks can begin the checking.

박요섭 / 조선향 선교사: 카니누와 부족 성경번역, 파푸아뉴기니

금년 8월로 박 선교사 부부가 파우아뉴기니로 파송받은지 10년이 되는데, 그 동안 하나님의 은혜로 소명에 순종할 수 있었음에 감사드립니다. 마을과 교신이 되어 누가복음 13-24장의 수정제안 노트와 요한복음 번역에 필요한 자료를 마을의 번역팀에 발송하고 답장을 기다리고 있습니다. 속테스, 잭, 레비, 실버스터에게 지혜를 주시고 카니누와 번역자로서의 부름에 잘 순종할 수 있도록, 특별히 어머니 (엠브로스 목사의 아내)가 지병으로 소천하신 속테스의 가족들에게 하나님의 위로가 있기를, 번역팀으로부터 요한 1, 2, 3서 초벌 번역을 속히 받아 점검에 착수할 수 있도록 기도해주세요.

Lausanne Diaspora Virtual Summit 2020

The Diaspora team members of Wycliffe Canada will participate in the Lausanne Diaspora Summit 2020 on Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 26-27 this week, which is an interactive virtual conference scheduled with main sessions and small group sessions in multiple languages in different time zones. Please pray that we will be able to discern how to cope well with this pandemic as people and churches around the world are suffering, going through this crisis. Learn how Diasporas are fulfilling God’s mission in our changing world.

로잔 2020 디아스포라 온라인 세계선교대회

오는 8월 26일(수)-27일(목)에 로잔 디아스포라 온라인 화상회의가 열리고, 저희 디아스포라 팀원들이 메인 세션과 지역별 언어별 소그룹 나눔 모임에 참가합니다. 이번 회의를 통해 코로나 대유행병 사태로 인해 전세계 사람들과 교회들이 어려움을 겪고 있는 상황에서, 어떻게 잘 분별하고 대처해 나가는 기회가 되도록, 디아스포라 성도들이 어떻게 변화하는 세상가운데서 받은 사명 감당할지를 배우고 나누는 시간되도록 기도해주세요.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)

“K” project: Praise God that the number of COVID-19 cases in the country where these projects are located has decreased. However, the facilitators for this project ask for continued prayer for the home village area of members of the language program where COVID-19 is still having an impact: Many people have become sick. Some have died. The local project advisor became ill, presumably with the virus, and has had a slow recovery. The school co-ordinator has also been quite ill with COVID-19 symptoms, though he is improving. Please pray that the Lord will restore these men to full strength and that they will recognize His hand in this as God’s people have prayed. May God protect all of the project staff and their families and draw them to Himself.

"K" 프로젝트: 프로젝트가 위치한 지역의 코로나 확진 건수가 감소한 것을 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다. 그러나 프로젝트 조력자들은 아직 대유행병의 영향을 받고 있는 언어 프로그램 사역자들의 마을 지역을 위해 계속 기도 해주기를 요청합니다. 많은 주민들이 코로나에 걸리고 죽기도 했습니다. 현지인 프로젝트 자문위원도 의심증상이 있었고 서서히 회복중입니다. 훈련 기관의 간사도 호전되고는 있지만 코로나 유증상으로 상당한 어려움을 격고 있습니다. 주께서 이들을 온전히 회복시켜 주시고, 하나님의 백성들이 기도한 대로 치유의 손을 들어 주시도록, 모든 프로젝트 일꾼들과 가정들을 보호하시고 주께 의탁할 수 있도록 간절히 기도해주세요.

Stewarding God’s resources: Europe
During the coronavirus pandemic, travel for many in Wycliffe Global Alliance organizations has stopped indefinitely. With restrictions easing gradually, many Alliance organizations are doing things differently. The organizations realize the value of webinars, Zoom meetings and other online platforms. Consequently, some funds set aside for travel are now available for other projects or needs. One European Alliance organization is asking God how best to steward those resources to help others. Pray for discernment to use these available funds wisely and where most needed.

코로나 대유행병중 위클리프 국제연대의 대부분 사역자들의 출장은 무기한 중단되었습니다. 제한이 점차 완화되면서 많은 국제연대 단체들이 전과는 다른 방식으로 일하고 있는데, 주로 웨비나와 줌 회의 방식의 온라인 플렛폼을 유용하게 이용합니다. 결과적으로 출장을 위해 책정된 여행 경비를 다른 프로젝트나 필요한 항목으로 사용할 수 있게 되었습니다. 한 유럽연대 단체는 이러한 자금을 다른 사람들을 돕도록 사용하기 위한 최선의 방법을 구하며 기도하고 있는데, 이러한 가용 자금을 가장 필요한 곳에 지혜롭게 사용할 수 있는 분별력을 주시도록 기도해주세요.

Building cottages: Philippines
Members of the Tau’t Bato Oral Bible Translation team of Wycliffe Philippines are working together to build cottages to make a place for audio recordings of Scripture. Pray for the Lord’s provision for the construction materials needed to make the recording studio. Ask God to strengthen them physically and spiritually as they work.

Many Bible translation teams in Democratic Republic of Congo need motorbikes or 4WD vehicles so they can work in remote villag­es. Ask the Lord to help JAARS supply the funds for these vehicles.
