Online Kairos Course

With other facilitators, the Korean Diaspora team will facilitate the first online Korean Kairos course every Tuesday between September 15 and November 17. Twenty-five people from the two Korean churches in the Greater Vancouver Area will participate in the course and 12 facilitators will serve as a team. We are thankful that the orientation meeting for all participants went well last Sunday; we were able to check technical practices such as zoom utilization and Google drive as the course will be carried out online. Pray that all participants will know more about God’s heart and be challenged to live a more missional life through the course. Pray also for good teamwork for the facilitators’ team as well.

온라인 카이로스 코스

다른 조력자들과 함께, 한인 디아스포라 팀은 9월 15일부터 11월17일까지 매주 화요일에 온라인 카이로스 코스를

섬기게 됩니다. 밴쿠버 지역의 2개 교회에서 25명이 참가하고 12명의 조력자들이 함께 섬깁니다. 지난 주일에 온라인 코스의 특성상 전체 준비 모임으로 모여 줌 활용등 기술적인 점검과 몇가지 에행 연습을 잘 마쳤음에 감사드립니다. 이번 코스를 통하여 참가자 모두가 하나님을 마음을 더 알게되고 보다 선교적인 삶으로 도전받게 되도록, 조력자들이 좋은 팀웍을 이루도록 기도해주세요. 

Kingdom Friendship 킹덤 프렌드십

Cree Initiative: Bill & Norma Jean Jancewicz, Head of Projects

Bill has worked remotely, by computer, for months with the Naskapi team on this and several other Naskapi language projects. But during those months, for various reasons, the capacity of the Naskapi translation team has been gradually reduced: Please pray with us that God will send willing and capable Naskapi people to fill these spaces, so their dream of completing the Bible in Naskapi can still be realized. Like everyone else during the pandemic, we use social media, Zoom and Skype a lot more regularly now to stay in touch with and support the other translation teams we are responsible for. Isolated Indigenous communities remain vulnerable and locked down. Continue to remember and pray for our teams working creatively in these areas: Matt and Caitlin Windsor with the Oji-Cree in Kingfisher Lake, Ontario, and Martin and Alice Reed with the Swampy Cree from their home in Thompson, Manitoba.

크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 빌 / 노르마진 선교사, 원주민 성경번역 프로젝트 총괄 책임자

빌 선교사 부부는 나스카피 팀과 함께 여러 다른 나스카피 부족어 프로젝트에 대해 지난 몇 달 동안 컴퓨터를 이용하여 원격으로 섬깁니다. 안타깝게도 지난 몇 달 동안 여러 가지 이유로 나스카피 번역팀의 원주민 일꾼들이 탈락하게 되어 팀원들이 축소되었습니다. 하나님께서 나스카피 헌신자들을 보내 주셔서 이 빈자리들을 채우도록, 그래서 나스카피 부족어 성경을 완성하려는 꿈이 여전히 실현될 수 있도록 간절히 기도해주세요. 대유행중에 다른 모든 사람들과 마찬가지로, 소셜 미디어, 줌, 스카이프등을 훨씬 더 정기적으로 사용하여 팀별로 맡고있는 다른 번역 팀들과 서로 연락을 유지하고 지원하고 있지만, 고립된 원주민 공동체는 여전히 매우 취약하고 이동이 봉쇄되어 있습니다. 아울러 어려움중에도 창의적으로 사역할 수 있도록 다음의 두 선교사 가정을 계속 기억하고 손모아 주세요: 온타리오주 킹피셔레이크 지역에서 오지크리 공동체를 섬기는 매트과 케이틀린 선교사와 매니토바주 톰슨 지역에서 스왐피 크리 공동체를 섬기는 마틴과 앨리스선교사.

Translation services: Global
Many volunteers and staff translate corporate Alliance materials into various languages for posting on wycliffe.net and distribution via other communication channels. Praise God for this team of dedicated translators who work behind the scenes to translate these resources for wider use around the world. Pray for good communication between the translation coordinator and the translation teams working virtually across many time zones. Ask God to continue to give them the wisdom and skill they need to translate clearly and accurately. Pray that God will provide additional skilled translators to assist the Alliance with this important specialized service.

Partnership: Global, Wycliffe USA 
Wycliffe USA participates in the Global Partnerships team, a multi-organizational collaboration in the Bible translation movement at local, regional, and global levels. The group receives inspiration, impetus, and leadership from the Global Church. The Global Partnerships team explores new ways for organizations to cooperate and work together interdependently. Pray as the team comes alongside partner organizations to find creative solutions to their needs in this season of COVID-19. Government lockdowns continue, fundraising for local organizations is a challenge, and people are without work in many locations. Praise God for the creative and innovative approaches to the current challenges that COVID presents. Pray for the safety of the team's national field coordinators who are still working in areas of the world that have been hit hard by the pandemic. Pray that Global Partnerships will continue to provide opportunities for partner organizations to work together.

A Cessna 210 that JAARS maintenance specialists worked on recently delivered New Testaments to a people group in Brazil. Pray that God uses his Word to draw these people to him.
