 Beyond my Backyard event

There will be a virtual tour to the world of Bible translation at 11:00 am EDT, Saturday, October 24. Interested people are invited to explore the dynamic ministries of Ethnomusicology. We will meet with missionaries who have served in this area in the four different countries. We will discuss why the arts are so powerful in cross-cultural ministries. How could a certain drum, or a particular dance step, or a specific melody affect the way the gospel is communicated? God expressed His creativity in each culture by giving them unique artistic expressions. Please pray that many people can come to this online meeting to learn more about the life-transforming ministries of Bible translation. You are also invited. Please come and join us!

온라인 성경번역 세계 기행

10월 24일 토요일, 동부 시간 오전 11시에 "Beyond my Backyard" (세계 기행)이 열립니다. 이번에는 '민족 음악학' 이란 주제로 관심자들을 모시고, 4개국에서 민족 음악 전문가로 섬기고 있는 선교사들을 온라인으로 만나 왜 예술이 타문화 사역에 그렇게 큰 영향력이 있는지, 어떻게 특정한 드럼 소리나, 댄스 스텝, 멜로디 등이 복음을 전하는 방식에 영향을 미치는지 나눌 것입니다. 하나님은 각 종족의 문화마다 독특한 예술적 표현을 통하여 하나님의 창조성을 드러내게 해주셨습니다. 행사에 관심 있는 분들은 저희 한인디아스포라 팀으로 연락 주시고, 많은 분들이 참여할 수 있도록 기도해주세요.

Celebrating 40 years by launching 40 church partnerships: Papua New Guinea
The Papua New Guinea Bible Translation Association (PNGBTA) launched a new initiative on 29 September. This is part of PNGBTA’s 40-year anniversary celebrations. Forty church congregations have been invited to sign a three-year Bible translation partnership agreement with the organization. PNGBTA is proposing that each congregation: contribute an annual financial gift of an agreed amount, advocate and pray for Bible translation, and assist in providing professional expertise (such as IT, accounting or media) as needed by the administration. 

PNGBTA will reciprocate with the churches by: assisting with translation of Scripture and related materials (including songs, hymns, and liturgies), providing training in literacy, Scripture use and related areas, and by participating in the congregation’s activities. Pray for God’s blessings on this initiative to strengthen relationships with the churches as part of developing a sustainable Bible translation movement in Papua New Guinea. 

40 개 교회의 동역 으로 40 주년 기념: 파푸아뉴기니

파푸아뉴기니성경번역협회는 지난 9 월 29 일 40 주년 기념 행사의 일환으로 새로운 운동을 전개했습니다. 40개 교회의 성도들이 협회와 3년간의 성경 번역 파트너십 계약 서명식에 초대되었고 협회는 각 교회에 다음과 같이 제안 했습니다: 약정한 액수의 연간 헌금, 성경 번역을 지지하고 중보하며, 협회 행정팀에서 필요로하는 전문 인력 (IT, 회계 또는 미디어) 지원. 아울러 협회는 다음과 같이 지역 교회와 협력한다: 성경 및 관련 자료 (노래, 찬송, 예식서) 번역 지원, 문해와 성경 활용및 관련 사역들의 훈련기회 제공, 지역 교회 사역에 동참. 파푸아뉴기니에서 지속 가능한 성경 번역 운동을 전개하는 일환으로 지역 교회와의 협력을 강화하는 이번 시책에 하나님의 복이 넘치도록 기도해주세요.

Collaboration for Bible Translation: United States
Seed Company is passionate about accelerating the translation of God’s Word in every heart language that needs it by 2025. The organization works with over 1400 global partners. It serves the local church by providing training, consulting, funding and project management.  These lead to a meaningful, accurate translation in the local mother tongue. Pray for members of local churches worldwide as they take ownership of Bible translation and work to complete projects. Thank God for the thousands of prayer partners that provide a solid foundation for these Bible translation programs with Seed Company involvement.
