Wycliffe World Day of Prayer

Wycliffe observes the World Day of Prayer every year, traditionally held on November 11. This year Wycliffe Canada is collaborating together with OneBook and CanIL. We will be having three different times (Wednesday, Nov 11 at 5 pm (ET), Thursday, Nov 12 at 6 pm (ET), and Friday, Nov 13 at 7 pm (ET)), one hour virtual events with different focuses and prayer requests for each. We will also encourage participants to fast during this time. Shalom (Isaiah 9:6-7) is our theme this year. This Day of Prayer is open to everyone. Please pray that many people will come to these meetings to pray together.

위클리프 세계 기도의 날

위클리프는 매년 11월 11일을 전세계적으로 성경없는 부족들을 위한 기도의 날로 정하여 기도하고 있습니다. 

위클리프 캐나다는 자매단체인 원북, 캔아이엘과 함께 각각 다른 초점과 기도 제목을 가지고 3일 동안 각 1 시간씩 온라인으로 모일 예정입니다 (11월 11일(수) 동부 시간 오후 5시, 11월 12일(목) 동부 시간 오후 6시, 11월 13일 (금) 동부 시간 오후 7시). 아울러 이 기간 동안 참가자들에게 금식에 동참해 주시기를 권유하고 있습니다. 샬롬 (이사야 9:6-7)이 올해 행사의 주제이며, 누구나 참여할 수 있습니다. 참여를 원하시는 분은 윤기태 선교사 (daniel.yoon@wycliffe.ca, 905-348-2275) 에게로 미리 알려주시고, 많은 분들이 동참하도록 기도해주세요.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)

“T” project:  Alongside Wycliffe Canada, another donor organization has been providing the majority of the funding for the “T” language project. That organization has now decided they will not be able to continue. Without this funding, the team will not be able to translate the remaining four books in the Lives of the Prophets series—the stories of Abraham, Joseph, Moses and Jesus (a compilation of the four gospels). Please pray for wisdom to know how best to move forward. After years of working with the “T” community, there is an open window to provide Scripture for this other major religion community right now. Pray that the team can continue to make the most of the opportunity. The project facilitator writes: “Please pray that we will experience the peace and grace of our Lord in the midst of this. We know and we believe that this is God’s Mission; it is not ours. He has been at work in these mountain communities long before we came along, and He will be there long after we leave. So continue to pray for discernment to know how best to join what God is doing.”

"T" 프로젝트: 위클리프캐나다와 함께, 또 다른 후원 단체가 "T" 프로젝트에 대한 대부분의 재정을 지원하고 있는데, 이제 그 단체는 후원을 중단하는 것으로 결정했습니다. 이 단체의 후원없이는 진행중인 선지자들의 삶 시리즈인 아브라함, 요셉, 모세와 예수 이야기 (사복음서의 편집본)의 남은 부분을 번역할 수 없게 됩니다. 앞으로 어떻게 대처해야 할지를 아는 지혜주시도록 기도해주세요. 수년간 "T" 공동체와 함께 일한 경험으로 이 지역 타종교 (ㅁ*ㅅ*ㄹ*) 공동체를 위한 성경을 제공할 수 있는 문이 열렸습니다. 사역팀이 계속해서 이 기회를 최대한 활용할 수 있도록 손모아주세요. 프로젝트 조력자는 말합니다: "이 상황중에도 주의 평안과 은혜를 경험할 수 있도록 기도해주세요. 우리는 이것이 우리를 위함이 아니라 하나님의 선교라는 것을 믿습니다. 하나님은 우리가 이곳에 오기 훨씬 전에 이 산악 마을들에서 일해 왔고, 우리가 떠난 후에도 역시 이곳에서 오랜동안 역사하실 것입니다. 하나님이 지금 역사하시는 일에 가장 잘 동참할 수 있는 방법을 아는 분별력을 주시도록 계속해서 기도해주세요."

Church Engagement Academy begins: Europe
During the Coronavirus pandemic it has become very challenging for the Alliance organizations in Europe to engage effectively with the churches in their countries. Please pray for this new initiative, the Church Engagement Academy, which will run from October 2020 to June 2021. The Europe area team will be hosting the first Zoom session of the Academy on October 20. Staff from eleven or more Alliance organizations will participate along with board members. The goals of the Academy are to: Provide an opportunity for participants to support each other through the challenges of church engagement, Develop a pool of effective church partnership ideas and resources from around Europe, Create a vibrant and robust community of practice among Alliance organizations and also with the churches in their countries, Give momentum to Missio Dei, the Mission of God, with a clear theological basis of the church being central in the Bible translation movement.

교회협력 아카데미 출범: 유럽

코로나바이러스 대유행병으로 인해 유럽지역 국제연대 단체들이 자국 교회들과 효과적으로 협력하는 것이 매우 어려워졌습니다. 2020년 10 월부터 2021년 6 월까지 운영될 새로운 시책인 교회 협력 아카데미​를 위해 기도해 주세요. 유럽지역 사역팀은 10 월 20일 첫 번째 줌모임으로 11개 이상의 연대단체 소속 사역자들과 이사들이 함께 참여합니다. 이 아카데미는 참가팀들에게 교회 협력의 도전을 통해 서로 지원할 기회를 제공하고, 유럽 전역에서 효과적인 교회 파트너십 아이디어와 자원의 풀을 개발하고, 연대 단체들과 자국 교회들간에 활기차고 탄탄한 실천 공동체를 만들고, 또한 교회가 성경 번역 운동의 중심이라는 분명한 신학적 근거를 가지고 하나님의 선교에 박차를 가하도록 하자는 목표들이 있습니다.
 

Pray for shalom in new ways of working: Philippines
Some of the translation teams of the Translators Association of the Philippines (TAP) are working remotely because of the pandemic. It is a slower process but the translation programs continue to move forward in new, innovative ways. As some of the translation teams prepare for consultant checking, pray for shalom and renewed trust in God as they adjust to their new methods. Pray for efficient internet connections and clear communications. 

새로운 사역방식의 평안을 위한 기도: 필리핀

필리핀번역가협회의 팀원들중 일부는 대유행병으로 인해 원격으로 사역하고 있습니다. 과정이 더 느리긴 하지만 이 번역 프로그램은 새롭고 혁신적인 방식으로 계속해서 진척중입니다. 일부 번역팀들이 자문위원의 점검을 준비하면서 평안을 주시도록, 새로운 사역 방식에 적응하며 하나님을 향한 신뢰가 새롭게 되기를, 효율적인 인터넷 연결과 명확한 의사 소통을 위해 손모아주세요.

현재 잘스에서 사역중인 다섯 명의 펠로우 (전문직 자원봉사자) 들이, 그들의 삶에 대한 하나님의 특별하신 목적을 더 깊이 깨닫게 되도록 기도해주세요.

The first New Testament recording completed in the new South Asian recording studio funded by JAARS was in the Merobi* language. Praise God that now the Merobi people have God’s Word in both written and audio form.

잘스가 재정 후원하여 세워진 새 남아시아 녹음 스튜디오에서 만든 최초의 녹음 프로젝트인 메로비 (보안명) 부족어 신약성경이 완성되었습니다. 이제 메로비 사람들이 글과 오디오 형태로된 하나님의 말씀을 모두 가지게 되었음을 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다.

Pray that God will provide additional technology coaches to assist with help desk services and training on our many new systems.
