Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): Director of Wycliffe Taiwan and Regional Manager of a sensitive area, respectively
We are thankful that Martha continues serving well remotely in her area manager role. In addition, two fellow workers have been treated for cancer and another colleague is in recovery from surgery. Martha is also receiving medication to treat inflammation of her gums and joints. We would appreciate your prayers for a good treatment/recovery for Martha and her colleagues. Pray also for their two sons, Isaac and Moses, as they are going to graduate from middle and high school respectively in June. We hope that they will be able to get on to the next level of education with good friends and teachers.

마르다 선교사가 보안지역 지역책임자로서 사역을 잘 감당하고 있음에 감사드립니다. 최근에 암으로 치료받는 두 명의 동료 사역자 외에 또 한 명의 동료가 수술 후 회복 중입니다. 마르다 선교사 역시 잇몸과 악관절의 염증에 대해 약물 치료가 계속되는 중입니다. 모두 건강하게 사역을 잘 감당할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 이삭과 모세가 6월 중에 중학교와 고등학교를 졸업하고 진학하는데, 진로와 좋은 학교와 친구들 만나도록 기도해 주세요.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)
The T project: Pastor “O” and a leader who we’ll call “Habib,” a brother from the neighbouring language community's congregation, went to the T area to meet with the translation team. When they arrived, Habib had a special opportunity to sit with James (one of the translators) for several hours to talk and to listen. Habib described his path to faith in Christ from one born into a devout religious family. James asked lots of questions, and Habib did his best to answer them all. Praise God for the way his Word is engaging James’s heart. Praise God that James’s heart is soft and is open to hear, reflect on and accept truth. Please pray that Habib will be able to help James continue to grow in his faith and ultimately be discipled. Since only 1 of 3 translators were granted visas, the in-person consultant check was replaced by a virtual one. The team is working on drafting the translation for the first part of the Life of Christ (about his birth). This process needs input from the research of kinship terms. Please pray for Habib’s faith, and smooth processing for the consultant checking.

T 프로젝트: 'O'목사와 우리가 '하빕'이라고 부르는 이웃 언어 공동체 형제가 번역팀을 만나기 위해 'T' 지역으로 함께 갔습니다. 하빕은 번역가중 한 명인 야고보와 몇 시간 동안 앉아 이야기를 나눌수 있는 특별한 기회를 가졌습니다. 하빕은 독실한 타종교 집안에서 태어나 그리스도를 믿게 되기까지를 간증했는데 야고보가 많은 질문을 했고, 하빕은 최선을 다해 답해 주었습니다. 야고보의 마음을 사로잡은 말씀의 능력을 인하여, 결국 그는 마음을 열고 말씀의 진리를 듣고 회개하며 주님을 영접하게 된 것을 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다. 하빕이 여고보가 신앙으로 계속 성장해 궁극적으로 그리스도의 제자로 양육받을 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 번역자 3명 중 1명만 입국 비자를 발급받았기 때문에, 자문위원 점검 모임은 비대면으로 대체되었습니다. 번역팀은 그리스도의 출생에서 부터 예수님 생애 초반의 이야기를 초벌 번역 작업중입니다. 이 과정은 친족 관계 용법의 연구가 필요합니다. 하빕의 믿음과 원활한 자문위원 점검을 위해 기도해 주세요.

Serious staff shortages in ACATBA: Central African Republic
The administrative services departments (finance, partnership and logistics) are understaffed in the Association Centrafricaine pour la Traduction de la Bible et l’Alphabétisation (the Central African Association for Bible translation and literacy - ACATBA). The lack of key personnel causes problems in terms of meeting reporting deadlines, following up on-field activities, managing multiple functions, and dealing with staff stress. Pray that the Lord of the harvest will provide the needed staff for administrative positions. Pray for the health of the current staff members who, due to staff shortages, are also trying to cover the work of three or four people.

People needed to fill key roles: Canada
For many people, being involved in Bible translation is a hands-on experience with the accompanying struggles and joys associated with translation progress. However, key people who serve in vital roles in their home countries experience challenges and celebrations in other ways. At Wycliffe Canada finding people to take on these roles is difficult, which results in staff shortage. ‘When we are short-staffed in mobilisation and applications, it is even more challenging to fill any of the other roles. Please pray that God would meet the great need we have for at least one applications advisor (preferably two), an internship coordinator, a mission coach and an administrative assistant for mobilisation. We do not know who can fill these roles, but God does.’ Ask God to move in the hearts of people to contact Wycliffe Canada about serving in these key areas. Pray that Wycliffe Canada staff members will effectively share these needs with their contacts. 성경 번역 사역에 동참하는 것은 번역 진척과 관련된 어려움과 기쁨을 함께 경험합니다. 그러나 본국에서 주요 직책들을 감당하는 핵심 인력들은 또 다른 도전과 즐거움를 경험합니다. 위클리프캐나다는 이러한 요직을 감당할 인력을 찾는 것이 쉽지 않기 때문에 본부 인력이 부족합니다. 동원팀과 허입팀에 인력이 부족할 때 다른 보직에 인력을 채우는 것이 훨씬 더 어렵습니다. 하나님께서 최소한 한 명 (가급적이면두 명)의 허입 담당, 인턴십 간사, 모집 담당, 동원팀의 행정직에 대한 인력을 채워주시도록 기도해 주세요. 누가 이 역할을 감당할지 모르지만 하나님은 하십니다. 이러한 핵심 사역으로 섬기기로 위클리프에 자원할 수 있는 사람들의 마음이 움직이도록, 위클리프 사역자들이 이러한 인력 충원을 위해 주위 분들과 효과적으로 나눌 수 있도록, 하나님의 역사하심으로 기도가 응답되고 부족한 인력이 채워지는 것을 보게되도록 기도해 주세요. https://www.wycliffe.ca/get-involved/mobilization/
