L & C: Bible translation in a sensitive area of Asia / remote assignment
L and C has been meeting with a local language helper in the sensitive area online every week since March to learn the target language. Sometimes the Internet connection is unstable, cutting them off in the middle of their conversations, and also making it challenging to distinguish pronunciations. Please pray that there will be no problems with the local Internet connections as L & C’s communicate with the people in that sensitive area. Pray also that the Lord will open their ears so that they will learn the language well. Pray that the Lord will protect the language helper who works in this sensitive area. Pray that all things will work together and the ministries will proceed smoothly.

L and C 선교사는 지난 3월부터 보안 지역 현지인 언어조력자와 매주 온라인으로 만나서 대상 민족의 언어를 배우고 있습니다. 때로는 인터넷 상황이 안 좋아, 중간 중간에 끊기는 어려운 상황이 발생할 경우도 있습니다. 또한 인터넷으로 교신하기 때문에 발음의 구분이 쉽지 않습니다. 보안 지역과 교신할 때 현지의 인터넷 상황에 문제가 발생하지 않도록, 그리고 L and C 선교사의 귀를 열어주셔서 대상 언어를 잘 배우도록, 또한 보안 지역에서 함께 이 일을 돕는 현지인 사역자의 안전을 주께서 지켜주시도록 기도해 주세요. 이 모든 일 이 함께 합력하여 사역들이 순조롭게 진행되도록 기도해 주세요.
Explore Nigeria
A virtual tour to Nigeria will be held by Wycliffe for four Saturdays, 10:00 am - noon, May 7, 14, 21, and 28. Participants will experience how Bible translation ministry brings God's Word to language communities diverse in their language and cultures. Please pray that many people will take part in this, especially those young adults who are interested in God's Mission worldwide and being a part of it. Pray also that we will not experience any issues with the internet connection so that all the events will go smoothly online.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)
The following prayer requests are prayers for the soil tilling efforts in this sensitive area. By serving the community in sustainable literacy and education development, the team is loving the community in very practical ways which pave the way for sustainable Bible translation work, which we believe the Lord will use to transform lives for His glory.
The Q project: The goal of SIL (our field partner) is to continue to support and advise the MLE program as their funding tapers off. It is difficult to reduce funding for the MLE project on a relational level, but they feel it is the best chance to help the project become more sustainable. Pray for the SIL staff as they advise the MLE Coordinator regarding fundraising efforts and project management issues. Pray for Pastor “O” as he leads the translation committee.

실크로드의 기도 요청들은 보안 지역의 척박한 땅을 일구는 사역들을 중보하는 기도입니다. 사역팀이 지속 가능한 문해 사역과 교육 개발을 섬기며 매우 실질적인 방법으로 공동체를 사랑하는데, 이로서 사람들의 삶이 변화되고 주께 영광 돌리게 되리라 믿습니다.
Q 프로젝트: 에스아이엘 (위클리프 자매단체)의 목표는 다중언어교육(MLE) 프로그램의 자금 조달이 감소함에 따라 MLE 프로그램을 지속적으로 지원하고 자문하는 사역입니다. 동역단체로서 MLE 프로젝트를 위한 자금을 줄이는 것은 어렵지만 프로젝트가 더 지속 가능하도록 도울 수 있는 최상의 기회라고 생각합니다. MLE 책임자에게 자금 조달 노력과 프로젝트 관리 문제에 대해 자문하는 에스아이엘 사역자를 위해, 그리고 번역 위원회를 이끄는 현지인 “O” 목사를 위해 기도해 주세요.

Camp GBT: South Korea
Global
Bible Translators (GBT) in South Korea has organized Camp GBT, an
introductory course to the Bible translation ministry and missions. The course
includes lectures and discussions on GBT's vision and mission, Bible
translation and its community, Scripture engagement, and a road map to becoming
a cross-cultural worker of GBT. Praise God for the eight participants from all
over South Korea who participated in the recently concluded Camp GBT. Ask God
to guide their hearts as they apply what they have learned from the course and
that they would decide to enter the Bible translation mission through GBT.
Praise God for guiding the instructors and staff who managed the online and
on-site meetings simultaneously.

한국의 성경번역선교회(GBT; 위클리프한국)가 성경 번역 사역과 선교의 입문 과정인 캠프 GBT를 지난 1-2월중 5주간에 걸쳐 열었습니다. 이 과정은 “하나님의 선교에 당신을 초대합니다”라는 주제로 GBT의 비전과 사명, 성경 번역과 선교지 공동체, 성경 활용, 타문화권 사역자가 되는 로드맵에 대한 강의와 토론들을 포함하고 있습니다. 한국 각지에서 온 8 명의 참가자들이 캠프 GBT를 잘 마치게 하신 하나님을 찬양합니다. 참가자들이 코스에서 배운 것을 잘 적용하고 GBT를 통해 성경 번역 선교 사역을 시작하기로 결단을 하도록 하나님께서 그들의 마음을 인도해 주시도록 기도해 주세요. 온라인과 대면 모임을 동시에 운영한 강사진과 사역자들을 지도해 주신 하나님을 찬양합니다.

Norway describes the involvement of Betel Church in Sandnes in
Norway as they actively support evangelization and literacy development amongst
minorities, specifically in the Portuguese-speaking parts of Africa. The church
is engaged in Bible translation and mission. The Betel Church pastor lists the
church's goals of financially supporting mission work and actively praying for
and engaging with the missionaries. Pray that more churches in Norway will have
open hearts for missions and take an active part in Bible translation projects.
