성경 번역 운동에 봉사할 수 있는 기회!

캐나다 원주민 성경 번역 프로젝트를 섬기는, 윈저, 리드, 스캇 선교사 가족들 모두 원주민 번역가 워크숍에서 인도자로 섬길 예정인데, 모두 7세 미만의 어린 자녀들을 두고 있습니다. 11월 5일부터 10일까지 온타리오주 구엘프에서 열리는 워크숍 주간에 아이들을 돌봐줄 자원봉사자가 최소 2분이 필요합니다. 일주일 동안 숙식을 제공해 드리며 교통편민 자원봉사자가 직접 마련하시면 됩니다. 성경 번역 선교에 단기 자원봉사로 섬겨주실 분은 한인 사무국으로 연락해 주시기 바랍니다. 이메일(Gyoojun_Lee@wycliffe.ca) / 전화(416-888-2262)

An Opportunity to serve the
Bible Translation Movement!

Wycliffe missionary families, the Windsors, Reeds and Scotts, are all serving on staff at the First Nations translator workshop and all have children under the age of seven. We need at least two volunteers to help with childcare for the workshop week that will be held November 5-10 in Guelph, Ontario. We could provide meals and lodging for the week, but the volunteers would need to provide their own transportation. 위클리프 태국 방문 결과 보고

이규준 선교사가 지난달 태국 국제모임 참가 중 위클리프 태국 본부를 방문하고 왓 대표 선교사와 함께 교제하며 지속적인 동역에 대해 논의했습니다. 새 본부 건물을 둘러보며, 태국 교회 동원, 선교사 및 현지인 사역자 훈련, 구전 및 수화 성경 녹음및 녹화 등의 다목적 사역을 위해 잘 준비되어 있는 것을 보고 감사할 수 있었습니다. 건축비는 모두 완불되었고 녹음 및 녹화 등 스튜디오 설치용 장비들을 구매하기 위한 재정과 뜰 조경공사를 위한 모금을 위해 기도하는 중입니다. 또한 2천2백만이나 되는 “이사안” 언어로 된 성경번역 프로젝트를 위해 조이 선교사가 2024년부터 성경 이야기 구연 방식의 성경 번역을 시작할 계획입니다. 내년 상반기에는 언어 조사를 마치고 하반기 부터내년 1년 동안 성경 이야기 구연 방식으로 초역을 시도해 볼 계획입니다. 조이 선교사와 프로젝트를 위해 기도해 주세요. 왓 대표 선교사는 캘거리에 있는 킹덤 프렌드십 교회인 베다니채플 초청으로 아내 지미 선교사와 함께 11월 8일부터 3주 동안 캘거리를 방문합니다. 모든 계획들과 일정을 위해, 그리고 디아스포라 교회들도 이 시기에 맞춰 함께 잘 협력하고 동역이 일어날 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Wycliffe Thailand Visit Report

Gyoojun was able to visit Wycliffe Thailand's newly-built headquarters during his ministries in Thailand last month, to have fellowship with President Wat and to discuss the ongoing cooperation between Wycliffe Thai Foundation and diaspora churches in Canada. Gyoojun was very thankful to see the new headquarters building, as it is well designed and equipped for the multi-faceted ministries of mobilizing the Thai church, training missionaries and national translators, and recording oral and sign language Bibles. The building is now paid for, and we are praying for funds for the audio-video recording equipment for the studio, and for landscaping for the courtyard of the headquarters building. Wycliffe Thai Foundation is also planning to launch the Isaan Bible Translation Project, using the Oral Bible Storying method. The Isaan language is spoken by 22 million people. Missionary Joy is going to begin the project in 2024. The plan is to complete the language survey in the first half of the year, and then try a year of Bible storytelling in the second half of the year, and pilot OBT for a year. Pray for Missionary Joy and the project. Wat with his wife Jimmie will be visiting Calgary for three weeks from November 8-28 at the invitation of Bethany Chapel, a Kingdom Friendship Church of Wycliffe Thai Foundation, in Calgary. Pray for all the details of his visiting plan, and that diaspora churches in Canada will be able to invite them around this time.

온라인 훈련에 대한 전략이 필요: 호주, 아시아 태평양

호주 위클리프가 온라인 훈련에 대한 전략적 구상에 대해 주님을 찬양합니다. 이 훈련에는 프로젝트 관리 및 컨설턴트 개발에 대한 단기 과정과 위클리프 인디아, 그리고 아시아 태평양 지역의 위클리프 국제연대 단체들간의 다른 협력 노력이 포함됩니다. 각 국가에 직접 방문하지 않고도 자원, 훈련 및 역량 강화를 공유하는 이 가상 및 실물 훈련 방식은 성공적으로 그 필요를 충족시키고 있습니다. 이러한 전략적 구상이 가능하게 하는 기술에 대해 주님께 감사드립니다. 11월 14일부터 16일까지 말레이시아에서 열리는 '훈련가들을 위한 무들 워크숍'을 위해 기도해 주세요. 아시아 태평양 지역의 국제 연대 단체들이 함께 온라인 과정 개발을 모색하고 있습니다.

Initiative in online training meeting a need: Australia, Asia-Pacific

Praise the Lord for the initiative that Wycliffe Australia is getting involved in for online training. This training includes short courses in project management and consultant development with Wycliffe India as well as other collaborative efforts between Wycliffe Global Alliance organizations in the Asia-Pacific region. This virtual and tangible way of sharing resources, training and capacity building without being present physically in each country is successfully meeting a need. Thank the Lord for this initiative and for technology that makes this possible. Pray for an upcoming Moodle for Trainers Workshop in Malaysia on 14-16 November as Alliance organizations in Asia-Pacific explore the development of online courses.

성경 번역에 젊은 세대가 참여: 파푸아뉴기니

성경 번역 자문위원인 키두 선교사는 지난 7월에 마이왈라 부족어 번역 프로그램과 함께 점검 세션을 시작했을 때 큰 용기를 얻었습니다. 누가복음, 빌레몬서, 유다서를 점검하고 있었는데, 공동체 점검자들이 노인들 외에도 10명 이상의 젊은 남녀가 포함되어 있었습니다. 다른 언어 프로그램 점검 세션에서는 대개가 노인들만 참여하는 것을 보았습니다. 마이왈라 젊은이들의 실질적인 참여에 대해 주님을 찬양합니다. 많은 젊은이들이 번역 프로그램에 계속 참여할 수 있도록 기도해주세요. 전국의 다른 모든 번역 프로그램에도 젊은 세대의 참여가 필요합니다. 노령화된 많은 프로그램에 젊은 세대의 도움이 필요합니다. 주님께서 젊은이들의 마음을 움직여 성경 번역에 동참하도록 기도해 주세요.

Involving the younger generation in Bible translation: Papua New Guinea

Bible translation consultant Kidu Magi was greatly encouraged when he started the checking sessions with the Maiwala translation program in July. He was checking the books of Luke, Philemon and Jude and the community checkers included more than 10 young men and women in addition to older people. In other language program checking sessions, Kidu saw only older people participating. Praise the Lord for the practical involvement of these young Maiwala people. Pray that many of them will continue to participate in the translation program. There is a need for involvement of the younger generation in all other translation programs around the country. Many programs with ageing personnel need the help of the younger generation to work alongside them. Ask the Lord to stir the hearts of younger people to participate in Bible translation.

JAARS Prayerline

Praise God for funds that enabled JAARS to provide 4WD vehicles for the Bible Translation Association of Papua New Guinea and the SIL Vanuatu team. Pray the vehicles will effectively support translators and Scripture engagement workers.

Pray for our FlightSpan™ development team as they work on new features for this software app that provides increased reliability and safety for flight operations.

Our Missions at the Airport team, with two aircraft, will participate in the Shannon Airport Fall Festival in Fredericksburg, VA. Pray for good flying weather, safety in travel, and effective engagement.
