여러분 감사합니다! 축복합니다!

지난 한 해 동안 여러분의 기도와 동역으로 성경번역 선교에 큰 진전이 있었음에 감사드립니다! 지난 9월 기준 성경번역 선교 관련 통계에 따르면 평년 100개 이하의 새 언어로 성경번역 프로젝트가 봉헌되었었는데, 작년 한 해만 412 개의 언어에 새로운 성경번역 프로젝트가 착수되었습니다. 팬데믹 이후의 반등효과도 있었지만, 이텐(ETEN, Every Tribe Every Nation)과 같은 성경번역 선교를 위한 협력 운동이 큰 역할을 했기 때문입니다. 계속해서 당신의 큰 일을 이뤄가시는 하나님께 감사와 찬송을, 기도로 동역해 주신 여러분께도 깊은 감사의 말씀을 올립니다! 하나님께서 기도를 통해 여러분의 삶과 성경없는 부족들 가운데 행하신 귀한 일들을 세어보실 때 하나님께서 더 풍성하게 복내려 주시기를 원하며, 기쁜 성탄과 새해 되시길 축원합니다!!

We're so grateful for our progress in the Bible translation mission through your prayers and partnerships over the past year! As of September 1st, the Scripture Access statistics showed that 412 new Bible translation projects were launched in the past year, compared to less than 100 new languages in a typical year. This is partly due to the post-pandemic rebound but also primarily due to collaborative movements like ETEN (Every Tribe Every Nation). We praise God for continuing His great work and thank you for partnering with us in prayer! May God's abundant blessings be multiplied as you look back and count His blessings in your life and among the Bibleless people groups through your faithful prayer ministries!

감사와 축하로 마무리

크리스마스는 축하의 시간입니다. 세상에 빛이 들어오고, 하나님의 구속 계획이 이루어지고, 우리 위하여 엄청난 보혈의 희생을 치르신 예수님을 기념하는 절기입니다. 빛이 어둠 속에서 비칠 때 어둠이 그것을 깨닫지 못했음을 말씀합니다. (요한복음 1:5) 우리는 전쟁의 소식들, 불경기, 천재지변에 관한 나쁜 소식들을 자주 접할 뿐만 아니라 개인적인 어려움들에 처하고 있기 때문에, 어둠의 세력들이 세상의 빛을 이길 수 없다는 사실을 상기하는 것이 중요합니다. 또한 전 세계에서 성경 번역 운동을 통해 많은 사람들에게 하나님의 빛을 전하는 다양한 방법으로 하나님께서 일하시는 것을 축하할 수 있습니다. 한 해를 돌아보며 우리의 기도에 응답하심에 감사하고, 성경 번역 운동을 통해 하나님께서 행하신 일들을 축하하는 연말 연시 되시기 바랍니다.

Celebration

Christmas is a time of celebration. It’s a time when we celebrate light coming into the world, God’s redemptive plan, and Jesus’ immense sacrifice on our behalf. We celebrate that The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:5 NIV) As we often receive bad news about wars, economic challenges, and natural disasters as well as our own individual challenges, it’s important to remind ourselves that the darkness cannot overcome the Light of the World. We also can celebrate the many ways God works worldwide in Bible translation movements bringing his light to many. Join us as we look back over the year to thank God for answering our prayers and celebrating what he has done in and through Bible translation movements.

온라인 세미나를 위한 축복: 일본

위클리프 일본은 금년 중 네 차례의 온라인 세미나를 통하여 모두 큰 은혜로 잘 마무리되어 하나님을 찬양합니다. 고등학생과 대학생을 포함하여 120여 명이 세미나에 참여했고, 주제는 다음과 같습니다: 성경 번역, 문해, 토속 예술, 성경 활용, 언어학, 트라우마 치유, 선교사 자녀 교육, 제3문화권 어린이 돌봄 등이었습니다. 모든 참가자들이 성경 번역에 대해 배우고 위클리프 일본과 성경 번역의 큰 그림에 대하여 의미 있는 방식으로 동참할 수 있도록 하나님께서 계속 도전을 주시도록 기도해 주세요.

So much blessing for online seminars: Japan

Wycliffe Japan praises God that all four online seminars for 2023 were well-received with so much blessing. Over 120 people, including some high school and university students, participated in the seminars. Topics include: Bible translation, literacy, ethno-arts, Scripture engagement, linguistics, trauma healing, missionary kids’ education, and third-culture kids’ care. Pray that God will continue encouraging all the participants to learn about Bible translation and get involved meaningfully with Wycliffe Japan and Bible translation as a whole.

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us” (John 1:14a). As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, pray for all who have not heard.

Pray that God will provide the additional staff members our Communications team needs as they respond to the growing need for digital outreach..

Ask God’s blessing as we strive to build stronger relationships with aviation training organizations—large and Small—nationwide: to help them effectively train the next generation of mission aviators.
