Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea
The Parks finally met Kaninuwa translators in person at the Alotau center - Soktes, Simon, and Margaret. Hallelujah! Simon is one of the faithful translators along with being the leader of Kikwanauta village and the Kamwiyava Church. He has not been officially trained for translation work but has worked on handwritten translation. Simon experienced how to use a laptop computer, the translation program "Paratext", Skype internet video calling while at the Alotau center. Please pray Simon will become skillful in using what he has learned. Pray also for God's strength and wisdom for the translation team as they continue to translate the Gospel of John in the village. We are thankful for the second study booklet on the Gospel of Mark that was sent out to the village. Pray with us that these booklets will be well used so that His Word will richly work in power among the Kaninuwa people, resulting in repentance.

박 선교사 부부가 드디어 알로타우에서 카니누와 번역가들 중 속테스, 사이몬, 그리고 마가렛을 직접 대면하여 만났습니다. 할렐루야! 그 동안 번역 훈련을 받지 못했던 신실한 동역자 사이몬은, 기꽈나우따 마을과 카뮈야바 교회의 리더이기도 합니다. 그 동안 손 글씨를 써가면서 번역에 참여해 왔는데, 이번에 알로타우 센터에서 처음으로 노트북 컴퓨터 사용법과 번역 프로그램인 “파라텍스트” 사용법, 그리고 “스카이프” 인터넷 화상 통화 등을 배웠습니다. 사이몬이 이번에 배운 것들을 잘 기억하고, 활용하여 앞으로 번역 사역에 큰 도움이 되도록, 계속해서 요한 복음을 번역하고 있는 마을 번역팀에게 하나님의 힘과 지혜를 주시도록, 이번에 마을로 보낸 “마가복음 2” 성경공부 교재가 잘 활용되어 말씀이 주시는 능력과 회개의 역사가 그들 가운데 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Cree initiative: Silas' healing and recovery
Last month we sent out an urgent prayer request for Silas, our friend and Naskapi co-translator. He had just been medevaced by air from his community of Kawawachikamach to a hospital in the south because of a suspected mild stroke and fluid in his lungs. Since that week, Silas has returned home to Kawawachikamach without any serious treatment but some vital tests. He has resumed a Zoom connection twice a week with Bill. Silas asked us to thank you all for your prayers for him, and asks that you would continue to pray for him and his Naskapi community.
크리 원주민 성경번역 운동: 번역가 실라의 치유와 회복
지난달 우리의 동역자이자 나스카피 번역가인 실라를 위한 긴급 기도를 부탁 드린바 있었습니다. 갑자기 경증 중풍 증세와 폐농양으로 의심되는 소견이 있어 카와와치카맠 마을에서 에어 앰블런스로 남쪽에 있는 큰 병원으로 이송되었습니다. 하지만 실라는 위중한 치료없이 몇가지 중요한 검사들을 마친 후 그 주간에 다시 마을로 귀가 했습니다. 실라는 매 주 두번씩 만나는 빌 선교사와의 줌 교신도 재개했습니다. 실라가 자기를 위하여 중보해 주신 여러분의 기도에 대한 감사를 부탁해 왔습니다. 실라의 건강과 나스카피 원주민 공동체를 위해 계속 기도해 주세요.

Strategic Partnership: The Netherlands
The mission of Wycliffe Netherlands is: "Together with the church, the most local expression of the body of Christ, making the Word of God available in the most relevant language and encouraging its use in the most accessible form." In working out this mission, Wycliffe Netherlands works with partner organizations in a variety of countries. Pray for good interaction as partners meet and work together. Pray especially for local ownership and the participation of local churches in the Bible Translation Programs. Wycliffe Netherlands is thankful that office staff from the Program department were able to travel again to visit their partners in Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Pray for translation projects: Philippines
Praise God for the 12 translation teams made up of staff from the Translators Association of Philippines and partner organizations! The teams will take on the task of translating God’s Word in the following language projects: 5 New Testaments (Ayta Ambala, Gaddang, Ginsalugen Subanen, Guina-ang Kalinga, Kinamayu), 6 Old Testaments (Balangao, Dulangan, Kinaray-a, Lubuagan Kalinga, Northern Subanon, Teduray), and a revision of the Central Subanen New Testament. Pray for strength for the teams as they seek to glorify God during the challenging and faith-stretching work of translation, so that these language communities can have access to the Bible in a language that they understand best. Ask the blessings of the Lord for good health, protection and favour.

Pray for the IT Connect conference in Nairobi, Kenya, scheduled for September, sponsored by JAARS. They are planning for 50 English and French IT specialists to attend.
