Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea
Margaret is the youngest member to join the Kaninuwa translation team two years ago to work as a candidate for translation. At first, she learned detailed procedures, starting with small things to help senior colleagues. This time, she received full-fledged training with the recommendation of Soktes. She learned typing with a laptop computer for the first time, the translation program "Paratext" and the Bible story produce App. She learned it surprisingly well with enthusiasm, and was praised by colleagues. Please pray that Margaret will be trained as the next generation of translators as she continues to work with joy. Pray also that the team in the village can finish up to Chapter 21 of the first draft of the Gospel of John by God’s grace.

마가렛은 번역팀원중 막내로 2년 전부터 자원하여 팀에 참여하여 번역 후보생으로서의 역할을 잘 감당하고 있습니다. 처음에는 선배 동료들을 돕는 작은 일들부터 시작하여 세부적인 번역 절차들을 배우다가, 이번엔 속테스의 추천으로 본격적인 훈련을 받게 되었습니다. 처음 만져보는 노트북 컴퓨터로 타이핑을 배우고, 번역 프로그램인 “파라텍스트,” 성경 이야기를 영상으로 만드는 앱 사용법을 직접 테스트 해보며 배웠는데, 놀라울 정도로 열심히 그리고 잘 습득하여 동료들의 칭찬을 들었습니다. 마가렛이 계속해서 성실하게 기쁨으로 사역을 잘 감당하므로 차세대 번역가로서 잘 훈련받게 되도록, 마을에 있는 번역팀이 진행중인 요한복음의 초벌 번역이 21장까지 하나님의 은혜로 잘 마무리 할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

A new leader with a big vision: Switzerland
In July 2021 Peter Wilburg took over as director of Wycliffe Switzerland. Peter is very passionate about Bible translation taking place around the globe. In preparing for his new position, he has invested a lot of thinking about strategic priorities of Wycliffe Switzerland for the next few years. This thinking has already given a boost to the organisation’s mobilization work. As he goes into this new position, Peter would appreciate prayer for three main things: 1. The wisdom of Solomon (of course fulfilled and personified in Christ—all treasures are in him). 2. God’s angels of protection (as in Psalm 91) for office and field staff and also for his whole family. 3. The fire of God's Holy Spirit to see many become involved in the Bible translation movement (his workers, for his harvest, for his glory).
새로운 리더의 큰 비전: 스위스
지난 7월 피터 윌버그 선교사가 위클리프 스위스의 새 대표로 취임했습니다. 피터는 현재 전세계에서 이뤄지고 있는 성경 번역 사역에 대해 매우 열정적이며 새 직임을 준비하면서 향후 수년간의 전략적 우선 순위에 대해 많은 생각을 해 왔습니다. 이러한 구상은 이미 단체의 동원 사역에 활력을 불어넣고 있는데 다음 세 가지 주요 비전을 놓고 함께 기도해 주세요: 1. 솔로몬의 지혜 (물론 그리스도 안에서 성취되고 의인화된- 모든 보화가 그 안에 있음). 2. 속한 모든 사역자들과 가족들을 돌보시는 하나님의 천사들을 통한 (시편 91편) 보호하심. 3. 많은 사람들이 성경 번역 운동에 참여하는 것을 보시는 하나님의 성령의 불길 (하나님의 일꾼들과 추수하심, 그리고 하나님의 영광을 위해)
Preparations for leadership extension: Hong Kong
Praise God for the faithful service of Rence Law as Executive Director of Wycliffe Hong Kong for the past five years. His service is being extended for three more years. To recharge and refresh, Rence and his wife Pauline will take a reverse furlough for five months, followed by 1 month of leave, starting in January 2022. While he is on leave, Associate Executive Director Florence Lau will act as the Interim Director. Pray for wisdom and guidance for Rence, Florence and the office team during this period of transition. Ask the Lord for his protection and direction for Wycliffe Hong Kong staff during this important time.

위클리프 홍콩 대표로 지난 5 년간 신실하게 섬겨온 렌스 선교사를 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다. 임기가 3 년 더 연장 되어서 재충전과 휴식을 위해 렌스 선교사 부부는 내년 1월부터 몇 달동안 안식년과 휴가를 갖게되고, 이 기간중 플로렌스 선교사가 임시 대표를 맡습니다. 이 중요한 시기에 두 선교사 가정과 위클리프 홍콩 사역자 모두에게 주님의 보호와 인도하심이 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Praise God for the videos recently completed by VM Productions, based at JAARS: Tigraayit LUMO GOSPEL OF JOHN (Sudan/Eritrea) and the Kamaiura SEVEN DAYS OF CREATION (Brazil).
최근 잘스의 토속어 미디어 팀에서 수단과 에리트레아의 티그라야잇 부족어 “요한복음”과 브라질의 카마이우라 부족어 “7일동안의 천지 창조” 동영상 제작을 잘 마친 것을 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다.
Pray for creative and effective distribution of Scripture videos in local languages and that God will use them to change lives for his glory.
현지 언어들로 만든 동영상 성경들이 창의적이고 효과적으로 배포되도록, 사람들의 삶을 변화시키는 동영상들로 사용되므로 하나님께 영광돌리게 되도록 기도해 주세요.
Today (Sept 30) is Bible Translation Day! The first Bible Translation Day was proclaimed by the U.S. Congress more than 50 years ago in 1966.
매년 9월 30일은 “성경 번역의 날”입니다! 첫 성경 번역의 날은 50년 전인 1966년에 미국 의회에서 기념일로 선포되었습니다.
