Photo DB training

A Photo Database online training session for Diaspora team members will be held on Wednesday, December 9.  The purpose of this training is to enable effective sharing of the photo database that has been built by the Communications department. There has been an increasing demand for a good quality photo database for Diaspora’s ministries. Please pray for all participants to learn how to use it in their various ministries. Pray also for God’s wisdom for Alan who as the photo services manager will lead this training session.

오는 12월 9일 수요일에는 디아스포라 팀원들을 위한 사진 데이터 베이스 사용에 관한 온라인 훈련이 있습니다. 커뮤니케이션 팀이 오랫동안 구축해 놓은 사진 데이터 베이스를 부서간에 효과적으로 활용하기 위한 모임입니다. 디아스포라 팀 사역을 위한 양질의 사진 자료에 대한 수요가 증가하고 있는데, 이번 모임에서 모든 참가자가 다양한 사역 용도에 따라 데이터 베이스를 효과적으로 사용하는 법을 잘 배울 수 있도록, 사진 사역팀 책임자로 이번 교육을 인도해 줄 알란 선교사에게는 하나님이 지혜주시도록 손모아주세요.

December Virtual Prayer meeting, Trauma Healing

Wycliffe Canada is continuing with monthly online prayer on the second Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m. MDT, Dec. 12. This month, we will focus on the ministry of Trauma Healing and will be hearing from our partner in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Trauma Healing ministries helps people and their communities—who have suffered war, sexual assault, disease, and death—to recover, heal and to be transformed through the power of God's Word. Please pray that many will participate in this prayer and that the Holy Spirit will heal and transform those traumatized people and their communities by His Word.

12월 온라인 기도회 - 외상증후군 치유 사역

위클리프캐나다 월례 온라인 기도회가 오는 12/12일 토요일 오전 10시 (중부시간)에 열립니다. 이번 달에는 콩고민주공화국에서 외상후증후군에 시달리고 있는 사람들을 섬기고 있는 현지 동역자들의 보고를 듣고 함께 기도합니다. 외상증후군 치유 (trauma healing) 사역은 전쟁, 성폭력, 가까운 사람들의 질병이나 죽음 등의 가혹한 경험들을 겪고 나서 그 후유증으로 시달리는 사람들에게 말씀의 능력이 역사하도록 돕는 사역입니다. 많은 분들이 이 특별한 온라인 기도 모임에 참여하여 합심하여 기도하고, 하나님의 성령께서 그 말씀으로 외상 증후군에 시달리는 사람들과 그 공동체에 치유와 변혁을 일으키시도록 기도해주세요. 참여를 원하시는 분은 윤기태 선교사에게 연락 주세요. daniel.yoon@wycliffe.ca

Cree Initiative: Swampy Cree, Dene, and Ojibwe 

Pray for the team members as they seek to keep work moving in spite of the Covid-19 lockdown and restrictions. Please pray for good use of video internet technologies and encouragement in physical isolation. Pray that the Swampy Cree will be able to finally print and distribute the Canadian Bible Society's 30 book series through the Bible for literacy work. These books are used to teach and encourage new readers in their own language and to expose them to the Scriptures and main themes of the Bible.

크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 스왐피크리, 딘, 오지브웨 언어공동체

모든 사역팀원들이 코로나로 인한 봉쇄와 제한에도 불구하고 계속 일을 하려고 애씁니다. 인터넷 기술을 잘 활용하여 신체적인 고립에서도 서로 힘을 얻도록 기도해주세요. 스왐피크리 원주민 공동체가 캐나다성서공회의 문해 프로그램을 통해 만든 30권 시리즈 책들을 인쇄하고 보급할 수 있도록 손모아주세요. 이 책들은 새로운 독자들을 자기네 모어로 가르치고 격려하므로 말씀과 성경의 주요 주제들을 자연스럽게 접하도록 돕는데 활용됩니다.

God’s divine connections: Hungary 
The director of Wycliffe Hungary visited Kenya back in 2017. During that trip she met a Bible translation consultant from Bible Translation and Literacy (BTL). A friendship began to form, and when the director arrived back in Hungary they continued to keep in touch. She recently learned that one of the Bible translation projects the consultant works with was in dire need of funds. When she heard of this need, she remembered an individual she met this past year who wanted to become involved in a Bible translation project. The director connected the two, and now the year’s remaining financial needs for this translation project are being fully provided. Praise God for these divine connections of friendship. Thank God for bringing the right people together at the right time for his plans and purposes. Ask God to bestow his rich blessing upon this new partnership. May it result in much glory to God. 

하나님이 이어주신 연결: 헝가리

위클리프 헝가리의 대표가 2017년에 케냐를 방문했습니다. 그 여행 중에 대표는 현지 성경번역및 문해협회의 한 번역 자문위원을 만났습니다. 이로인해 그들의 우정이 시작되었고 대표가 헝가리로 돌아온 후에도 계속 서로 관계를 유지했습니다. 대표는 최근 이 자문위원이 함께 일하고 있는 성경번역 프로젝트들 중 하나가 재정지원이 절실하게 필요하다는 것을 알게되었는데 예전에 만났던 성경 번역 프로젝트에 참여하고 싶어했던 한 후원자를 기억했습니다. 이 대표는 두 사람을 연결해 주었고 이제 이 프로젝트에서 필요한 모든 재정 지원이 온전히 채워지고 있습니다. 하나님께서 이어주신 우정을 인해 찬양을 드립니다. 하나님의 계획과 목적을 위해 적시에 적절한 사람을 인도해 주심에 감사드리며 이 새로운 동역의 관계위에 풍성한 복을 부어 주시고 하나님께 큰 영광을 돌릴 수 있도록 기도해주세요. 

Prayer and friendship: Philippines 
When the pandemic started, staff from Translators Association of the Philippines began meeting via Zoom for their weekly prayer gathering. The online prayer fellowship is always well attended and has nurtured community and friendships among the staff members across the Philippines. Pray for safety and protection as some staff members without internet access travel to connect to the virtual meetings and pray with others. Ask the Lord to grant unity and love as they connect their hearts in prayer and as they continue working together.

대유행병이 시작되자 필리핀번역가협회의 사역자들은 매주 줌을 통해 기도모임을 시작했습니다. 온라인 기도 모임은 늘 많은 이들이 동참하였고 필리핀 전역의 사역자들간에 공동체와 우정으로 잘 유지하고 있습니다. 인터넷 접속이 안되는 지역의 일부 회원들이 이 화상 모임에 연결된 다른 사람들과 함께 기도하기 위해 이동할 때 안전과 보호를 위해, 또한 하나님께서 기도로 마음을 연결하고 함께 동역할 때 하나됨과 서로간에 사랑이 넘치도록 손모아 주세요.

The Pilatus PC-6 from the JAARS training fleet is in Texas for the installation and testing of an S-TEC autopilot, with a member of our aviation training staff serving as test pilot. Pray for safety and successful completion of all tests to obtain FAA STC certification.

Praise God for a recent meeting with aviation students at Liberty University and for a Missions at the Airport event in Fredericksburg, VA. Pray that the seeds of awareness and challenge that were planted will bear much fruit for God’s kingdom work.

IT Connect Online Training, launched in May, has con­ducted 14 webinars in English and French for IT Specialists all over Africa. Pray IT staff in Africa will continue to make effective use of this training.
