L & C: Bible translation in a country in Asia / Return assignment (urgent prayer)

L & C asked for our urgent prayer for LH who had a hemorrhagic stroke a few days ago. She is the wife of L & C's teammate and it happened during the Hs’ home assignment. She had surgery immediately to be stabilized but she did not respond yet. We are thankful for the prompt treatment and support from the community as the Hs are in their home turf. Let us join them with our prayers that the medical team will locate the exact bleeding spot in her brain to execute the full treatment to help her recover her consciousness as soon as possible. 

L and C 선교사: 성경번역, 아시아 보안지역 / 본국 사역 (긴급 중보 기도 부탁)

L and C 선교사와 팀으로 함께 일하는 동료 선교사 부부중 부인 L 선교사가 뇌출혈로 쓰러져 급히 수술했고 안정을 찾았으나 아직 의식불명 상태로 가족과 지인들의 애를 태우고 있습니다. 다행히 본국 사역 중이며 출신 지역에 있었던 터라 신속히 치료받을 수 있고 지인들이 함께 중보하고 있음에 감사드립니다. 정확한 출혈 지점을 찾아내어 다음 단계의 치료가 이뤄지고 속히 의식을 회복할 수 있도록 특별히 기도해주세요.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)

T project-1: In November prayer was requested for Alex and his family in the loss of his 20-month-old son. Alex continues to grieve. The first month was especially hard for him, though he is doing better now. Please continue to pray for him during this extremely difficult time. May his heart be turned toward the God who loves him. The T project facilitator writes that there seems to be growing distrust and conflict between the local T organization and the northern linguistics training institute. These are competent organizations which have a positive influence on language policy at both the provincial and national levels. Such disunity will undermine their efforts. Please pray for reconciliation and a spirit of cooperation between these leaders by God’s grace.

실크 로드 프로젝트: 성경번역, 보안지역 (수신자 이외에 배포하거나 온라인상에 게시하지 말아주세요)

T 프로젝트: 작년 11월에 20개월 된 아들을 잃은 사역자 알렉스와 그의 가족을 위한 기도를 부탁한 바 있습니다. 아직도 그로 인한 슬픔이 남아있고, 처음에는 감내하기가 더욱 힘들었습니다. 이 어려운 때에 그 가정의 아픈 마음이 하나님의 위로와 사랑으로 위로받을 수 있도록 계속 중보해주세요. 프로젝트 조력자가 보고하기는, 현지 T사역 단체와 북부 언어문화연구소 간에 불신과 갈등이 커지는 것 같다고 합니다. 이 두 기관는 현지 정부를 도와 언어 정책에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 유능한 단체들입니다. 그러나 상호간의 분열 양상은 그러한 좋은 노력들을 약화시킬 것입니다. 하나님의 은혜로 이 두 단체의 지도자들 간에 화해와 협력의 정신으로 변화되도록 손모아주세요.

Praise God for his mercy and blessings that have sustained Wycliffe Japan in practical and meaningful ways during this challenging pandemic. Thank the Lord for the churches in Japan which faithfully love, pray for and partner with Wycliffe Japan. This season has stretched staff to find creative and innovative ways to pursue mission programs alongside churches through online formats. Pray for unity and encouragement as Wycliffe Japan and their church partners exemplify the gospel through their relationships.

New Milestones in Digital Scripture Availability-1

Recent years have seen a dramatic and steady increase in the number of Scripture translations available digitally via websites and smartphone apps. In October 2020 YouVersion reached a new milestone, with Scriptures now available in a total of 1,500 languages. Globally, digital Scriptures in a total of 1,968 languages became available on various sites and apps. Scriptures are now available in an increasingly wide variety of forms, including print, audio and video. And the numbers of languages in which Scripture can be accessed through various formats continues to grow. Please pray that people will know about and use the many digital Scriptures that are available for their own mother tongue.

디지털 성경 이용 가능성의 새로운 이정표-1

최근 몇 년동안 웹사이트와 스마트폰 앱을 통해 디지털로 제공되는 성경 번역의 수가 극적으로 꾸준하게 증가했습니다. 2020년 10월현재, 유버전은 총 1,500개 언어로 성경을 접할 수 있는 새로운 이정표를 세웠습니다. 전 세계적으로는 총 1,968개 언어로 된 디지털 성경이 다양한 웹사이트와 앱에서 사용할 수 있습니다. 이제 성경은 인쇄본, 오디오 및 비디오를 포함하여 점점 더 다양한 형태로 제공되고 있고 다양한 형식으로 성경을 접할 수 있는 언어들의 수도 계속해서 증가하고 있습니다. 사람들이 자기네 모어로 사용할 수 있는 많은 디지털 성경을 알고 사용할 수 있도록 기도해주세요.
