April Virtual Prayer meeting: AIDIA, Peru

Wycliffe Canada is continuing with monthly online prayer on the second Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m. MDT, April 10. This month, we will focus on the ministry of AIDIA. AIDIA is a ministry in rural Peru, serving the Eastern Apurímac Quechua with Bible translation; promoting Scripture use in Quechua-speaking churches; sharing the gospel; teaching literacy; equipping local Christian leaders; and training Sunday school teachers. We have the privilege to hear from the Director, Luis Cervantes. Please come and hear about some of the amazing things that God has done through this ministry of AIDIA and its partnership with Wycliffe Canada.

4월 온라인 기도회: 아이디아, 페루

위클리프캐나다 월례 온라인 기도회가 오는 4월 10일 토요일 오전 10시 (중부시간)에 열립니다. 이번 달에는 아이디아 사역에 위한 기도회입니다. 아이디아는 페루 오지, 동부 아푸리맥 케추아 원주민들을 위한 성경 번역 사역입니다. 케추아 부족어를 사용하는 교회에서 성경 활용을 장려하고, 전도와 문해 사역, 현지 교회 지도자들과 주일학교 교사들을 훈련시키는 사역들입니다. 아이디아의 대표인 루이스 목사에게서 아이디아의 사역과 위클리프 캐나다와의 협력을 통해 하나님께서 이루신 일들을 듣게 될 것입니다. 더 많은 캐나다의 교회와 개인들이 이 사역에 동참할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 기도회에 참여를 원하는 분은 윤기태 선교사에게 연락 주세요. daniel.yoon@wycliffe.ca

Kingdom Friendship 킹덤 프렌드십

Cree Initiative: Oji-Cree

The Oji-Cree have a goal to publish a community language website with cultural videos. Praise God that they have designed a preliminary website and prepared preliminary content for uploading; and that they have finished transcribing all 20 videos and began translation. Right now, the most immediate impact of this project is the spiritual formation of the translation team and committee, and the benefit they gain through studying God’s Word in their own language. In late 2020 it was amazing to see the commitment of the translation committee, working intensely to finish the Gospel of Mark, and talking about their work on the community radio. There is a high level of anticipation for the first Scripture to be made available. Praise God that the Oji-Cree story collection is now publicly available on a website.

크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 오지-크리

사역팀은 문화 동영상을 담은 원주민 부족어 웹사이트를 출시하는 것을 목표로 하고 있습니다. 시험용 웹사이트를 디자인하고, 업로드하기 위한 내용물 준비를 마쳤고, 20개 동영상에 대한 자막 번역이 시작되어 하나님을 찬양 합니다. 지금 이 프로젝트의 가장 즉각적인 파장은 번역팀과 번역 위원회의 영성 그리고 그들이 자기네 말로 하나님의 말씀을 공부함으로써 얻는 유익입니다. 작년 말 번역위원회의 헌신과 마가복음을 완역을 위한 열심, 원주민 마을 라디오 방송과 그 일에 대하여 의논하는 것에 놀랐습니다. 첫 번째 오지-크리 부족어 성경을 갖게됨에 따른 높은 기대감이 있습니다. 오지-크리 성경 이야기 모음이 곧 웹사이트에서 공개적으로 이용 가능하게 됨을 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다.

Church support: South Korea
Due to the pandemic, several members of Global Bible Translators, an Alliance organization in South Korea, are in the challenging situation of needing to urgently evacuate from the locations in which they serve. Pray for peace and safety as they prepare to return to South Korea. In the process of transition and adjustment, ask God to strengthen their relationships and prayer connections with their partnering churches. As they rely on God, pray for confidence that he will provide what they need and lead them to discern his will.

대유행병으로 인해 한국의 위클리프 국제연대 자매단체인 세계성경번역선교회(GBT/위클리프한국) 몇몇 회원들이 섬기고 있는 현지에서 급히 대피해야하는 어려운 상황에 처해 있습니다. 한국으로 철수할 준비를 하고 있는 이들의 평안과 안전을 위해, 그리고 변화와 적응의 과정에서 동역하는 후원 교회들과의 관계가 강화되고 기도로 굳게 연결해 주시기를, 하나님께 온전히 의지하므로 이들의 필요를 채워주시고 주의 뜻을 분별하도록 인도해 주심을 확신하게 되도록 기도해 주세요. 

 
Visual translations creating hunger for God’s word: Pacific 
All the partners in the Pacific Wa’a Partnership (PWP)* collaborate and seek ways to involve and engage with the local church in the Pacific Island nations. In their recent meetings in February, Faith Comes by Hearing (FCBH) reported how the LUMO video recordings of the Gospels done for languages in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu are being shown by churches with positive results. Praise the Lord for these audiovisual translations of the Gospel stories that create and stimulate hunger in people to read the Bible in their language. Pray for FCBH as they work with more language communities to have the Scriptures made available in these formats.  *The PWP is a collaboration of partner organizations involved in seeing that every language community in the Pacific Islands has access to the Scriptures. The word Wa’a means ‘canoe’ in Hawaiian. It is a symbol of journeying together.

말씀에 대한 갈증을 불러 일으킨 시청각적 번역: 태평양

태평양 와아 협력체(PWP)*의 모든 동역 단체들은 태평양 섬국가 지역 교회들과 협력하고 동참할 방법들을 모색중 입니다. 지난 2 월 모임에서 믿음은 들음에서 나며(FCBH) 단체는 파푸아뉴기니, 솔로몬 제도및 바누아투 부족어들로 번역된 복음서의 루모(기독교 미디어 전문단체) 동영상이 지역 교회들에서 어떻게 긍정적인 반응이 있는지 보고 했습니다. 자기네 말로 성경을 읽도록 말씀에 대한 갈증을 자극하는 복음서 이야기를 시청각적으로 번역한 것을 인하여 주님을 찬양합니다. FCBH가 더 많은 언어 공동체들과 협력하여 이러한 형식으로 성경을 많이 사용할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.  *PWP는 태평양 제도의 모든 언어 공동체가 말씀을 접할 수 있도록 협업하는 동역 조직입니다. 와아는 하와이 말로 ‘카누’이고 함께 여행한다는 의미입니다.

Praise! Our partner ACOTBA-SUBO in the Democratic Re­public of the Congo recently received New Testaments for the Mono, Ngbandi-Giri, and Pagabete language groups. JAARS helped fund the internet used by their translation teams.
