Diaspora Team monthly meeting

We are thankful to God for the Diaspora team's monthly meeting. We usually share devotional words, have group study, pray for one another and our Field Partners (Eastern Lawa and Wycliffe Thai Foundation), and review and plan our ministries. This month, we discussed the goals, strategic planning and budget review for the upcoming fiscal year 2021-2022. It was very relevant to ponder the tools we use such as strategy, stats, data keeping and analysis, and capacity building for growth. We learned that these are useful tools, not something to be dogmatized or even worshipped like an idol. Please pray that the team members will continue ministries with joy and thankfulness even under this challenging pandemic situation. Pray also that God will send us new mobilizers for the Diaspora Engagement team.

디아스포라 팀 정기 모임

디아스포라 팀의 월례 모임을 통해 말씀 나눔과 다양한 배움, 현지인 동역자들을 위한 기도, 사역 점검 및 계획 등을 하고 있습니다. 이번 달에는 특히 차기 회계년도를 위한 사역 계획과 예산 수립을 잘 마칠 수 있었고, 시의적절하게 전략/데이터 관리 및 분석/팀 역량 계발 등 우리가 사용하는 여러 가지 유용한 도구들이 도그마나 우상이 되지 않도록 유의해야 함을 그룹 스터디를 통해 확인할 수 있었음에 감사드립니다. 팀원 모두 어려운 코로나 상황에서도 기쁨과 감사로 활력 넘치는 사역 이어가도록, 저희와 함께 동원사역에 헌신하는 새 일꾼들도 얻도록 기도해 주세요.

Using Scripture to bring transformation: Namibia and Botswana 
Wycliffe South Africa has been partnering with churches of the Hambukushu people in Namibia and Botswana to translate oral Scriptures into their heart language. The first set of Scriptures are completed and checked, but plans to celebrate and distribute the Scriptures were delayed due to Covid-19. Please pray that the Hambukushu churches will receive the translated Scriptures well and will use the published Scriptures to evangelize and disciple people in their communities. 

말씀을 통한 변화: 나미비아와 보츠와나공화국

위클리프남아공화국은 나미비아와 보츠와나공화국등 주변지역의 함부쿠슈 부족 교회들과 협력하여 구전 성경을 그들의 모어로 번역해 왔습니다. 초판 성경이 완역되고 점검도 마쳤지만 코로나로 인해 봉헌 예식과 배포 일정이 연기되었습니다. 함부쿠슈 교회들이 번역된 말씀을 은혜로 받고 출판된 성경으로 부족 공동체를 복음화하고 제자화 할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Relating to churches: United States
Pray for many churches in the United States that are relating to Wycliffe USA in some way. Ask God to strengthen their leaders, particularly in this time when the future of church activities is limited or uncertain. Pray for wisdom and courage to lead into the unknown. Pray for the Wycliffe USA church relations team, which has recently added several new members. Ask God to encourage them as they seek to partner well with churches that want to engage in Bible translation. Pray for unity as the team develops new strategies for promoting church engagement. 

교회와의 협력: 미국

위클리프미국과 여러 경로로 함께 협력하고 있는 미국의 많은 교회들을 위해 기도해 주세요. 특히 앞으로의 교회 사역이 제한적이고 불확실한 이 시기에, 교회 리더들을 강하게 붙잡아 주시고 알수없는 앞날을 잘 인도해 나갈 수 있는 지혜와 용기얻도록 기도해 주세요. 최근 몇 명의 신임 사역자들이 합류한 위클리프미국의 교회 협력팀을 위해, 성경 번역에 동참하고자 하는 교회들과의 원활한 협력을 애쓰는 팀을 격려해 주시도록, 교회 동원을 촉진하기 위한 새로운 전략들을 개발할 때 팀이 하나되도록 기도해 주세요.

Pray for the many newcomers to the JAARS staff as they fill much-needed roles. Special prayer needs are for permanent housing and adjustment to new surroundings.

잘스의 많은 신임 사역자들이 꼭 필요한 사역들을 신실하게 잘 섬길수 있도록, 특별히  주거 문제와 새로운 환경에 잘 적응하도록 기도해 주세요.

Last year, many translation teams had to postpone New Testament dedications due to COVID-19. Pray for God’s guidance as they wait patiently, hoping to conduct their dedications in the New Year.

지난해 많은 번역팀들이 코로나 대유행병으로 인해 신약성경 봉헌식들을 연기해야 했습니다. 금년에는 봉헌 예식들을 하나님께 올려 드릴 수 있도록 인내로 기다리며 하나님이 선히 인도하시도록 기도해 주세요.

Pray for the Central African Republic, currently undergoing much violent terrorist activity and civil disruption. Ask God to provide the peace that only Jesus can give, that rebels might come to know Jesus, and that Bible translators and their families will be protected and able to continue their work.

심한 폭력적 테러와 민중 봉기 사태로 여려움을 겪고 있는 중앙아프리카공화국을 위해 기도해 주세요. 예수님만이 주실 수 있는 평화를, 반군들도 예수님을 알게 될 수도 있는 평화를, 성경번역 사역자들과 가족들이 하나님의 보호하심으로 사역을 계속할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.
