Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea

It was by the grace of God that Joseph and Joyce were able to visit the village last November in the midst of the pandemic. After the Sunday service on November 22, through a special event held in commemoration of the dedication of the Kaninuwa Mini Bible four years ago, we celebrated to the glory of God all day long by Bible reading, writing, reciting and a writing competition. In the New Year, we plan to focus on translation, checking and revision of the Gospel of Luke, John, 1, 2, and 3 John. We are translating the Gospel of John with three teams who are led by Soktes, Jack and Ravi. Please pray that the translators can study and focus deeply on the Scripture. Pray also for Dominic and Kailo, translation committee members, that they will be able to help the translation team with God's wisdom. We also appreciate your prayers for the smooth progress in the preparation for the construction of the translation office in the village.

박요섭 / 조선향 선교사: 카니누와 부족 성경번역, 파푸아뉴기니

코로나 대유행병중에도 박 선교사 부부가 작년 11월 마을을 방문할 수 있었던 것은 하나님의 은혜였습니다. 11월 22일 주일 예배후, 4년전에 있었던 카니누와 미니 성경 봉헌을 기념하여 열린 특별 행사를 통하여, 성경 읽기, 받아 쓰기, 암송및 글짓기 대회로 하루 종일 은혜의 잔치로 보낸것 하나님께 감사드립니다. 새해에는 누가복음, 요한복음, 요한 1, 2 3서 번역과 점검및 수정에 집중할 계획입니다. 3팀으로 나누어 속테스, 잭, 레비를 각 팀의 리더로 요한복음을 번역중인데, 번역자들이 말씀을 깊게 공부하며 집중할 수 있도록, 번역 위원회의 도미닉과 케일로에게 지혜주셔서 번역팀을 잘 돕고, 번역 사무실 건축 준비도 순조롭게 진행되도록 기도해주세요.

Cree Initiative: Plains Cree (and other dialects)

Praise God for the publication of the Western Cree (Plains Traditional) Bible. This is a completely re-set presentation of the legacy Western Cree whole Bible that was first published in the 1860s and revised in 1908. The Cree Initiative was started in 2014 with this Scripture access project as one of its major goals, as this significant indigenous Bible has been out of print and unavailable for some time. Our Wycliffe and SIL teams have worked with our partners, the Canadian Bible Society, over the past several years to make these Scriptures accessible. Please pray that Cree speakers will re-discover this text that has played an important role in the development of the indigenous church across Canada for generations.

크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 플레인스 크리 (기타 소수 방언들 포함)

크리 서부 플레인스 부족어 전통 성경의 출판을 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다. 이것은 1860년대 처음 출판후 1908년에 개정되었던 유서 깊은 서부 크리 부족어 성경 전권을 이번에 완전히 새로 인쇄하여 출간한 것입니다. 크리 원주민 성경 번역운동은 2014년에 이 성경에 접근하는 것을 주요 프로젝트중 하나로 시작했었는데 이 중요한 원주민 성경이 절판되어 한동안 사용할 수 없게 되었기 때문입니다. 위클리프와 에스아이엘 팀은 지난 몇 년 동안 동역단체인 캐나다성서공회와 협력하여 이러한 원주민 성경들에 접근할 수 있도록 만들었습니다. 크리 원주민들이 세대를 이어 캐나다 전역의 원주민 교회 발전에 중요한 역할을 했던 이 귀중한 자료를 재발견 할 수 있도록 기도해주세요.

God’s provision: Europe 
Many of the Bible translation organizations in Europe have reported an increase in funds and new personnel during the coronavirus pandemic. Wycliffe Russia reported a large increase in donations along with Wycliffe Sweden and Wycliffe Denmark. Other Alliance organizations report new people joining their boards and mission teams. Thank God for the new staff members of Wycliffe UK, Wycliffe Norway, Wycliffe Sweden and Wycliffe Czech Republic. What a gift and encouragement from God during these difficult months. Praise God for his provision in various ways so that these Alliance organizations can effectively meet the challenges they face during the pandemic. Pray for all of these new staff and board members as they assimilate into their new roles.

하나님의 준비하심: 유럽

유럽의 많은 성경번역 단체들은 코로나 대유행병 기간 동안 재정과 신임 사역자들이 증가했다고 보고했습니다. 위클리프 러시아는 위클리프 스웨덴과 위클리프 덴마크와 함께 재정 후원 기부금이 크게 증가했다고 보고했습니다. 다른 국제연대 단체들도 이사회 멤버들과 선교팀에 새로운 인력들이 합류한다고 보고합니다. 위클리프 영국, 위클리프 노르웨이, 위클리프 스웨덴과 위클리프 체코 공화국 또한 새로운 사역자들로 인해 감사를 드립니다. 이 어려웠던 몇 달간 하나님이 준비해 주신 재정과 격려는 정말로 대단합니다. 국제연대 단체들이 대유행병 중에 직면한 여러 도전들에 효과적으로 대처할 수 있도록 다양한 방법으로 준비해 주시는 하나님을 찬송합니다. 신임 사역자들과 이사회 멤버들이 맡은 새로운 사역들에 잘 적응할 수 있도록 함께기도해주세요.

Beginning Partnerships: Philippines, South Korea, New Zealand
Praise God for friendships fostered among leaders of Wycliffe Global Alliance organizations in Asia-Pacific that have led to fruitful cooperation in the Bible translation movement. Pray for a Korean family from Global Bible Translators (GBT) as they prepare to join the Kinaray-a Old Testament translation project of Translators Association of the Philippines (TAP). Thank the Lord for their resiliency and patience in learning a new language online through TAP’s Language Development team. Pray for favour as they meet supporters, churches, and families in preparation for their move to the Philippines. Pray also for their kids as they prepare to move to a new environment. Praise God for an IT specialist volunteer from Wycliffe Bible Translators New Zealand (WBTNZ) currently helping TAP with the organization of educational materials for children in the indigenous communities. Ask God to bless this productive service through this TAP-WBTNZ-GBT partnership.

TAP의 언어 개발 팀을 통해 온라인으로 현지어를 배우는 동안 유연하게 적응하고 인내할 수 있음에 감사드립니다. 사역지로 이동하기 위한 준비를 돕는 분들과 후원 교회, 후원 가정들을 만나는 동역자 개발에 은혜주시도록, 자녀들이 새로운 환경에 잘 준비할 수 있도록 기도해주세요. 위클리프 뉴질랜드 (WBTNZ)의 정보통신 전문 자원 봉사자가 TAP의 원주민 공동체 어린이들을 위한 교재 만드는 일을 섬겨주심에 감사합니다. 하나님께서 복주셔서 TAP과 WBTNZ/GBT의 동역을 통해 많은 열매를 맺는 사역들이 일어나도록 손모아주세요.

Praise God for how He is using JAARS-trained pilots in Cameroon to transport the H* language team to Yaoundè, the capital, to do the necessary checks on their Old Testament translations.
