Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea (2)

The Parks and two Kaninuwa translators from the village are checking the books of 1, 2 and 3 John at the Alotau Centre, and are working together to produce a Bible study on the book of Jonah. Meanwhile, in Sibesibe village on Goodenough Island, the remaining translation team continues their translation of the Gospel of John. Please pray for the progress of this team’s ministry with God-given wisdom and understanding. Pray also for God’s protection of the village from flooding in this rainy season.

박요섭 / 조선향 선교사: 카니누와 부족 성경번역, 파푸아뉴기니 (2)

박 선교사 부부와 마을에서 온 2 명의 카니누와 번역사역자들은 알로타우 센터에서 만나 함께 요한 1-2-3서를 점검하고, 요나서 성경 공부 교재를 만들고 있습니다. 반면 굿이넢 섬의 시베시베 마을에서는 나머지 번역팀이 요한복음 번역을 계속 진행하고 있는 중입니다. 팀의 모든 사역 위에 하나님의 지혜와 명철로 효과적인 진보가 있도록 함께 기도해주시고, 우기에 빈번한 홍수로부터 마을을 지켜주시도록 기도해주세요.

Cree Initiative: 2021 First Nations Translator pre-Workshop

A First Nations Translator pre-Workshop will be held at 2:00 pm (ET) on Saturday, February 20. The purpose of this zoom meeting is to share with First Nations participants and alumni how God has been working through His Word during this season of the Covid-19 pandemic. Bill and Norma Jean, who are the meeting organizers, are also inviting anyone who is interested in matters related to First Nations Bible translation and would like to encourage and pray for this group. Pray for more people to join this pre-workshop.

크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 2021년 원주민 번역가 웍샵 사전 모임

매년 온타리오 구엘프 지역에서 열리던 원주민 번역가 훈련 웍샵의 사전 모임이 2월 20일 토요일 오후 2시(동부시간)에 온라인으로 모입니다. 이번 줌 모임의 목적은 코로나 대유행병중에서도 하나님이 어떻게 성경 말씀을 통해 은혜주셨는지를 원주민 참가자들 수료한 동문들과 함께 나누기 위함입니다. 모임 주관자인 빌과 노마진 선교사 부부는 원주민 성경 번역 운동에 관심이 있고 아울러 이 모임을 위해 격려하고 중보하기를 원하는 여러분들을 함께 초대합니다. 더 많은 사람들이 이번 사전 모임에 참여하도록 기도해주세요. 참여를 원하는 분은 윤기태 선교사에게 연락 주세요. daniel.yoon@wycliffe.ca

Safe arrival of New Testaments: Democratic Republic of Congo 
Praise God that a container with more than 18,000 copies of the New Testament in three languages arrived at the port of Matadi on 22 December 2020. Please pray that all the different requirements for them to clear customs will be fulfilled with plenty of time for the New Testaments to arrive in Gemena before the end of March. Join with the staff of ACOTBA-SUBO as they pray that the launch event for four New Testaments -- Lobala, Pagagbete, Mono and Ngbandi Ngiri -- will go ahead as planned on 25 April.

세 개의 부족어로 번역된 18,000 권 이상의 신약 성경을 실은 컨테이너가 작년 12 월 22 일 마타디항에 안전하게 도착한 것을 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다. 통관에 필요한 모든 요건들이 잘 갖추어져서 3 월 말전에는 재메나까지 배송될 수 있는 충분한 수속 절차가 이루어 지도록 기도해주세요. 로발라, 파가게테, 모노, 그리고 응반디응기리등 4개 부족어 신약 성경의 봉헌식이 예정대로  4 월 25 일에 열릴 수 있도록 콩고성경번역및문해협회의 사역팀과 함께 손모아주세요.

Opening of borders: Southeast Asia
Since the pandemic, borders in Southeast Asian countries have been closed. Pray for patience and creativity as a translator and his family wait for the opening of the checkpoint to go back to the host country where they are working. Ask the Lord for wisdom, unity and resilience for them and for the translation team as they work online to create the dictionary for the language community.
