Workers in “A” country
Wycliffe workers in “A” country (a sensitive area) have been suffering due to the government's tightening control and the pandemic for a few years in a row. Some workers were expelled and experienced violence physically in the process. They had to look for another assignment in a different country. Those workers remaining at their current ministries have had to overcome psychological and emotional anxiety. Those workers who voluntarily came out are not allowed to go back yet due to the pandemic. Please pray for God's special wisdom, patience, and peace for the leadership of this group and all members so that they will be resilient in this difficult time. Pray that their ministries will flourish.
A국 사역자들을 위해
최근 몇 년 동안 계속된 정부 통제 강화와 연이은 코로나 사태로 A국(보안지역) 에서 섬기는 많은 위클리프 사역자들이 심한 고초를 겪고 있습니다. 일부 사역자들은 추방당하는 과정에서 많은 어려움을 겪었고, 다른 사역지를 찾아야 했습니다. 현지에 남아 있는 사역자들은 심리적/정서적 불안을 극복하며 사역을 지속하고 있습니다. 다시 돌아가야 하는 사역자들은 코로나로 인해 끝을 알 수 없는 기다림 가운데 있습니다. 지도부와 사역자들 모두에게 특별한 지혜와 인내와 평안을 주셔서 굴함 없이 이 시기를 잘 극복하며, 중단 없는 사역이 이뤄지도록 기도해 주세요.
Come & Go
Wycliffe Canada's mobilization team will start a new series of online meetings with the title of "Come & Go." The first theme will be 'ideal multicultural workers' in the age of 'everywhere to everywhere.' Wycliffe Canada's leadership and SIL international leaders will have a time of panel discussion around this theme on Jan 24; 1:00 p.m. PST, 2:00 p.m. MST, 3:00 p.m. PST, 4:00 p.m. EST, 5:00 p.m. AST. Kingdom Friendship 킹덤 프렌드십
Cree Initiative: Oji-Cree & Naskapi
Oji-Cree: Praise God that the team finished their review of the book of Mark, and the plan is to publish it in the New Year. The translation team is working on 1, 2 and 3 John. Please pray for Jessie, the main translator, as her eyes flare up from time to time after too much time working at a computer.
Naskapi: Bill Jancewicz will be starting a virtual Naskapi language literacy course for adults this month, with a focus on reading the Naskapi Scriptures. Please pray that the course is effective and enjoyable to the Naskapi participants and that it encourages them to engage with God's Word in their own language on a regular basis.
크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 오지-크리와 나스카피
오지-크리: 번역팀이 마가복음 점검을 마친 것 감사드리며 금년중에 출판할 계획입니다. 그리고 요한 일, 이, 삼서는 번역중입니다. 컴퓨터로 작업을 너무 많이 한 후유증으로 이따금씩 눈에 이상이 생긴 주 번역가 제시를 위해 손모아주세요.
나스카피: 빌 선교사는 나스카피 말씀 읽기에 초점을 맞추어 1월중 어른들을 위한 온라인 나스카피 문해 강좌를 개설합니다. 이 강좌를 통하여 참가자들에게 효과적이고 즐거운 마음으로 참여하고 정기적으로 자기네 모어로 된 하나님의 말씀을 잘 활용하므로 격려가 될 수 있도록 기도해주세요.

Successful meetings: Pacific
Thank the Lord for the successful meetings of the South Pacific Bible Forum and the Pacific Wa’a Partnership (PWP) that were held virtually on 21-23 October 2020. Representatives from 25 different organizations from across the Pacific met online in the first two days. They gave reports and collaborated with one another for ways to partner and extend the Good News in the Pacific. People who are part of the PWP continued meeting on 23 October. The PWP is a collaboration of partner organizations involved in seeing that every language community in the Pacific Islands has access to the Scriptures. The word Wa’a means ‘canoe’ in Hawaiian. It is a symbol of journeying together. Praise the Lord for each of these organizations and their part in making the Scriptures available to every language in the Pacific.

작년 10 월 21-23 일 온라인으로 열렸던 남태평양 성경 포럼과 태평양 와아 파트너십(PWP)의 성공적인 모임들로 인하여 감사드립니다. 태평양 전역의 25 개 사역 단체 대표들이 처음 이틀 동안 온라인으로 만나 서로의 사역들을 나누고 이 지역에서 복음을 확장하는 방안들에 서로 협력하기로 했습니다. PWP에 속한 참가자들은 10 월 23 일까지 모임을 계속했습니다. PWP는 태평양 제도의 모든 언어 부족들이 자기네 모어 성경을를 갖도록 하는 것을 목표로 서로 협력하는 동역단체입니다. 와아(Wa’a)는 하와이말로 '카누'를 의미하며 함께 여행한다는 뜻입니다. 태평양 지역의 모든 언어 부족들이 자기네 모어 성경을 가지도록 서로의 맡은 역할을 잘 감당하는 동역 단체들로 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다.
Effective mobilization efforts: Argentina
A significant ongoing goal of LETRA Argentina is to mobilize Argentine people to serve in Bible translation and literacy. God is blessing them with additional people. Four are ready to leave for Papua New Guinea to begin assignments there. Three are working with the Mbya of Argentina. One is going to Peru to work in literacy with a Quechua group. Two are getting ready to go to Southeast Asia. Four are new candidates for the CILTA program, where they will receive linguistic and literacy training, and another is preparing to do literacy wherever God directs her to serve. In the past two years, one couple went to Brazil and another to Eurasia. Praise God for that LETRA Argentina’s mobilization efforts continue to bring fruitful results. Ask Him to provide for all of these workers and sustain them in their areas of ministry.

라틴아메리카 번역및 문해 협회(LETRA) 아르헨티나의 당면한 중요 목표는 성경 번역과 문해사역을 섬기기 위하여 아르헨티나 사람들을 동원하는 것입니다. 하나님이 복을 주셔서 네 사람의 헌신자는 파푸아뉴기니로 떠날 준비가 되어 있고, 다른 세 분은 아르헨티나의 음비야 부족팀을 섬기고 있습니다. 또 다른 한 분은 페루의 케츄아팀과 함께 문해 사역을 맡게됩니다. 두 분은 동남아시아 지역으로 출국을 준비하고 있고, 네 사람은 CILTA 프로그램의 후보 사역자들인데 언어학과 문해 사역 훈련을 받을 예정입니다. 다른 한 분은 하나님이 인도하는 어느 곳에서든 문해 사역으로 섬김 준비가 되었고, 지난 2년간 한 부부는 브라질로, 다른 부부는 유라시아 지역으로 파송되었습니다.
LETRA 아르헨티나의 동원 노력이 계속해서 결실을 맺음에 하나님을 찬송합니다. 이 모든 헌신자들의 필요를 채워주시고 각 자의 맡은 사역들을 주께서 붙들어 주시도록 기도해주세요.
