May Virtual Prayer meeting: Eastern Lawa Project, Thailand

Wycliffe Canada is continuing with a monthly online prayer time on the second Saturday of the month, starting May 15 at 10:00 a.m. MDT. This month, we will focus on the ministry of the Eastern Lawa project in Thailand. There are only a handful of Christians, and we will hear directly from those involved in the Eastern Lawa translation and related ministries. We would encourage you to invite anyone whom you sense would have an interest to come to this prayer meeting. Please pray that many will participate in this prayer time, and see more active partnership developed as a result.

5월 온라인 기도회: 동부 라와 프로젝트, 태국

위클리프캐나다 월례 온라인 기도회가 오는 5월 15일 토요일 오전 10시 (중부시간)에 열립니다. 이번 달에는 태국의 동부 라와 프로젝트를 위한 모임입니다. 최소 전도 종족에 속하는 이 소수 부족의 성경 번역과 관련 사역들을 사역자들과 현지인들에게 직접 듣게 됩니다. 더 많은 캐나다의 교회와 개인들이 이 귀한 사역에 동참할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 기도회 참여를 원하는 분은 윤기태 선교사에게 미리 연락 주세요. daniel.yoon@wycliffe.ca  

Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): Director of Wycliffe Taiwan and Regional Manager of a sensitive area, respectively

Albert participated in a medical outreach program hosted by Taiwan's Christian Dentist Association in April. The target area is the eastern mountainous region where many Amis live. Please pray for Albert's ministry to them as he will go back in May with the Dentist team to help install and use the Amis Audio Bible app, which Wycliffe Taiwan team produced last year. Martha has been in dental treatment for the last two years with persistent pain and some other issues, and will undergo further diagnosis in May. Please pray for Martha's toothache problem to be properly diagnosed and treated well.

알버트 / 마르다 (이삭과 모세) 선교사: 위클리프 대만, 보안 지역 책임자

알버트 선교사는 지난 4월에 대만 기독교 치과 의사회가 주최한 의료봉사 사역에 참여하였는데 그 대상 지역은 아미스족이 많이 거주하는 동부 산간지역이었습니다. 5월에 다시 가서 작년에 완성된 아미스 부족어 오디오 성경 앱을 설치하고 사용할 수 있도록 도울 예정입니다. 사역이 잘 이뤄지도록 기도해 주세요. 마르다 선교사는2년 전부터 치과 진료를 받고 있는데 계속되는 통증과 다른 문제들로 인해 5월 중에 더 자세한 전문의 진단을 받을 예정입니다. 치통 문제가 잘 진단되고 치료되도록 기도해 주세요.

Walak New Testament celebration: Indonesia 
Praise the Lord for the 23 years of hard work of the translation teams working alongside Yayasan Pelayanan Antarbudaya Papua (YPA-Papua), or Papua Center for Intercultural Ministry, to complete the Walak New Testament. The completion celebration is scheduled for 6 May. Markus Killungga and the rest of the Walak translation team request prayers for guidance and protection for them and their families as they prepare and as they seek to honor God with the celebration. Thank God for the faithful partnership of the GIDI Church, Walak churches and partner organizations Yajasi and YMP3. Pray for good weather, safety and protection as participants travel either by plane or the challenging road route. Ask the Lord to provide for the physical needs of the celebration as well as the future needs of the translation team planning for the Old Testament translation, curriculum development and training programs.

와락 신약성경 봉헌식: 인도네시아

파푸아다문화사역센터와 함께 번역팀이 23 년에 걸친 섬김으로 와락 부족어 신약성경이 완역되어 하나님을 찬송합니다. 봉헌식은 5월초에 드릴 예정이며 번역팀 리더인 말쿠스와 함께 팀원들이 이 봉헌 예식을 통하여 하나님께 영광을 돌릴 수 있도록 팀원들과 그 가족들을 인도, 보호하시도록 기도해 주세요. 인도네시아 복음주의 교단 교회들, 와락 교회, 그리고 동역 단체인 야자시와 YMP3의 신실한 파트너십에 감사드립니다. 행사 참가자들이 항공편이나 험한 육로로 이동하는데 좋은 일기를 허락해 주시고 여행중 안전과 보호를 위해, 구약 번역, 커리큘럼 개발및 훈련 프로그램을 준비하는 번역팀의 필요와 봉헌식의 모든 일정이 순조롭도록 기도해 주세요.

Stepping out: Denmark
A key step in taking up an assignment with any Wycliffe Alliance member organization is to help prepare people well for their work through training. Pray for wisdom and guidance for Kristin Westh from Wycliffe Denmark as she prepares to attend the CanIL masters program later in 2021 based at Trinity Western College in Canada. Kristin also is in the process of building a team of prayer and financial partners. Praise God for Kristin’s response to God’s call to serve in the Bible translation movement. Please pray that the Lord calls more people to partner with Kristin financially, with practical help and in prayer. Pray that he makes clear what her next steps will be when she completes her training.

위클리프국제연대에서 직임을 맡기위한 핵심 단계는 훈련을 통해 사역을 잘 준비하도록 돕는 것입니다. 캔아이엘 (캐나다 비씨주 랭리소재 성경번역 훈련 기관)에서 2021년부터 언어학 석사과정을 준비중인 위클리프 덴마크의 크리스틴 선교사에게 지혜와 인도하심을 허락해 주시도록 기도해 주세요. 크리스틴 선교사가 성경번역 선교에 대한 소명에 반응한 것을 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다. 실제적인 도움과 기도 후원으로 더 많은 사람들이 크리스틴과 동역하고 재정의 파트너가 되도록, 언어학 훈련을 마친 후 다음 단계를 하나님이 선히 인도해 주시도록 기도해 주세요.

This year, the SIL Africa ICT Services team, a close JAARS partner, has 25 projects involving information technology issues at regional centers across Africa for SIL and the Wycliffe Global Alliance. Pray for wisdom in organizing the resources and skills to do each project.

Pray that our new “Vision Flight” experience will attract young people interested in mission aviation and excite the next generation about serving as missionary pilots and mechanics!
