L & C: Bible translation in a country in Asia / Return assignment

L & C are about to apply for a re-entry visa for the field country. Please pray especially for C’s first visa application in Canada that she will get the proper visa without any problems. Pray for God’s guidance for them as they prepare to go back to the field in a few months. Pray also for well-being and meaningful time for the rest of their return assignment in Canada.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)

K project:  A and L, the expatriate liaisons to the K project, are currently in West Asia for a one-month visit (October 15 - November 16). Praise God for the multiple-entry visa that has allowed them to visit twice within the current year. They ask prayer for these things:  “Please pray for good health so we can make the most of our time there. Pray for wisdom, boldness and sensitivity to the Lord’s guidance. Pray for opportunities to share from our hearts and to bless and encourage our friends. Pray for open hearts toward us and the work and for good progress on the project materials.” One specific need:  “Pray for the project advisor and the school supervisor. Their father just passed away. Pray for comfort and strength for the family. Pray that the men will be able to travel to work with us for a significant portion of the time that we are there.”

K 프로젝트: K 프로젝트의 외국인 연락관인 A와 L은 현재 서아시아에 10월 15일부터 11월 16일까지 한 달간 출장중입니다. 올해 안에 두 번이나 현지를 방문할 수 있도록 복수 비자를 받은 것 하나님께 감사드립니다. 다음과 같이 기도 제목을 나눕니다: "우리가 현지에서 시간을 최대한 활용하기 위하여 건강하도록, 하나님의 인도하심에 지혜와 담대함과 민감할 수 있도록, 진심으로 복음을 함께 나눌 수 있고 주변의 친구들을 축복하고 격려할 수 있는 기회를 주시도록, 저희와 사역에 대한 마음을 열고, 프로젝트 자료에 대한 좋은 진전을 위해 기도해주세요.” 한 가지 더 구체적인 기도제목은: "프로젝트 조언자이며 학교 책임자의 부친이 최근에 세상을 따났는데, 유가족에게 위로로 힘을 주시도록, 우리가 현지에 체류하는 대부분의 시간을 함께 사역할 수 있도록 이 분의 오가는 통근길을 지켜 주시도록 기도해주세요.”

God speaks Borôro: Brazil

Praise God for the celebration of the audio version of the Bororo New Testament in Brazil in August. One Bororo speaker said that he once heard people from another language community listening to Scripture in their language. He asked God, “Will it ever be possible to listen to God’s Word in Bororo? When?” Imaging his joy as the audio New Testament in his language became available. He told the people, “Tonight God’s Word in Bororo has arrived, and it is going to last a long time!” Pray for the Bororo people as they hear God speaking their language. Ask God to bring blessing through the power of His Word.

보로로 부족어로 말씀하시는 하나님 : 브라질

지난 8월에 브라질에서 보로로 오디오 신약성경 봉헌식이 있었습니다. 한 보로로 사람이 예전에 다른 부족이 자기네 말로 성경을 듣는 것을 보고 하나님께 이렇게 질문했었습니다. “보로로 말로 하나님의 말씀을 들을 수가 있을까요? 언제요?” 보로로 신약이 오디오 버전으로 출판되었을 때 그가 느꼈을 감격을 상상해 보세요. 그는 이렇게 말했습니다. “오늘 밤 하나님의 말씀이 보로로 말로 우리에게 주어졌고 이 말씀은 오랫동안 우리와 함께 할 것 입니다!” 보로로 사람들이 하나님께서 자기네 말로 말씀하시는 것을 들으며 말씀의 능력을 체험하고 이를 통해 복을 얻도록 기도해주세요.

God’s Blessing on Bible translation: United States

Seed Company in the United States is promoting prayer for Bible translation. Personnel of this organization believe that to reach more than on billon people still without Scripture in their heart language, prayer is needed. Pray for God’s blessing over three significant components of the translation process: 1-Forming and equipping the translation team, 2-Protecting the translators and work, and 3-Multiplying the work through those who receive it. Please join Seed Company in their prayer for zero language communities without God’s Word in their language.
