Kairos Korean course: Toronto
The second Korean Kairos course of the year (GTA area) will be held in a hybrid form (mainly online and partly face-to-face) at The Kanglim Methodist Church of Toronto (Rev. Ju Yeop Kim, senior pastor). It runs from May 27 to July 22 every Friday and one full day on Saturday, July 9. Please pray that more than 15 people will be able to join and that, as a result, participants and their churches will be challenged to live missional lives. Pray too that the mission mobilization movement will continue through the use of the Kairos course in the Greater Toronto Area. We covet your prayers for Gyoojun & Jinsook Lee, Daniel Yoon and other facilitators that they would work well together. They desire to share the vision of Bible translation ministries during the course.

오는 5월 27일부터 7월 22일까지, 매주 금요일 (10주간) 토론토강림교회(김주엽 담임목사)에서 하이브리드(대면과 온라인) 형식으로 카이로스 코스가 열립니다. 많은 분들이 동참하여 광역 토론토지역에 계속해서 카이로스 코스를 통한 선교 동원 운동이 일어나도록, 참가자들과 교회가 더욱 더 선교적인 삶을 살게 되도록 기도해 주세요. 다른 조력자들과 함께 섬기는 이규준, 한진숙, 윤기태 선교사가 팀과 함께 잘 섬기면서 성경번역 선교의 비전도 함께 잘 나눠지도록 기도해 주세요.
Explore Nigeria
There is a virtual tour to Nigeria with four sessions, 10:00 am to noon, on Saturdays, having begun on May 7. Participants will experience how Bible translation ministry brings God's Word to diverse cultural and language communities. They have already dealt with two themes in the last three sessions: May 7-Culture and Language; May 14-Worldview and Communicating the Gospel; and May 21-The Work of Bible Translation in Nigeria. We are thankful for those who have participated thus far, and ask you to pray that many will take part in the last session (May 28) when we will cover the topic, The Work of the Holy Spirit in People's Hearts. Pray also that we will not experience any issues with the internet connection so that all will run smoothly.

나이지리아 가상 여행
지난 5월 7일부터 매주 토요일 동부 시간으로 오전 10-정오 12시에 나이지리아 가상 투어가 시작되었습니다. 다양한 언어와 문화가 상존하는 나이지리아에서 어떻게 하나님의 말씀을 번역해야 할지, 성경번역 선교의 현장을 다녀보는 시간입니다. 지난 세번의 세션에서 언어와 문화에 대해, 다른세계관을 가진 분들에게 어떻게 복음을 나누는지, 나이지리아에서의 성경번역 사역 등에 대해 다뤘습니다. 5월 28일 마지막 세션에서는 어떻게 성령께서 번역된 말씀을 통해 사람들의 마음 속에 역사하시는지를 살펴보게 됩니다. 그동안 참여해주신 분들께 감사드리고, 계속 해서 많은 분들 특히 선교에 관심 있는 청년들이 참여하고 원활한 인터넷 연결로 전체 행사가 잘 진행되도록 기도해 주세요. Interceding for AIDIA in Peru (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)
Praise God that the translation of the Bible in to Eastern Apurimac Quechua is finished. Pray for the Peruvian Bible Society who are hoping to print the revised, translated Eastern Apurimac Quechua Bible. Prices for printing in Korea and China have skyrocketed, so they are hoping to print it in Brazil. Pray for Pastor Luis, that he would have God’s guidance as to what kind of project he would want to submit to Wycliffe Canada as the best fit for all partners involved. There is much uncertainty as we move through 2022. The political situation in Peru has created a feeling of instability alongside the development of the pandemic. Praise God for the many partners that assist AIDIA, including the Peruvian Bible Society, the Chilliwack Alliance Church, the Operation Christmas Child (OCC), and the many local churches, who have been key to AIDIA’s continued efforts to grow the Christian community in Peru.

Inspiring friendship and community: Tonga,
Global
The volcanic eruption and
tsunami that hit Tonga on 15 January destroyed many buildings and devastated
the livelihoods of the people. Wycliffe
Tonga Missions (WTM) also suffered from the effects of this natural
disaster. Thank God for the generosity of Wycliffe
Global Alliance (WGA) organizations that assisted WTM. They contributed
towards repairs and participated in relief work. Praise God that the
assistance received helped WTM to take care of a large amount of the expenses
needed to repair the damage caused by the tsunami. This kind of assistance
and generosity inspires friendship and community within the Alliance.
서로를 고무시키는 우정과 공동체: 통가, 전세계
지난 1월 15일 통가를 강타한 화산 폭발과 쓰나미는 많은 건물들을 파괴하고 사람들의 생계를 황폐화시켰습니다. 위클리프 통가도 이 자연 재해로 어려움을 겼었습니다. 함께 피해지역을 복구하고 구호 활동에 참여하며 위클리프 통가를 지원해 준 위클리프 국제 연대의 관대함을 인해 하나님께 감사드립니다. 뿐만 아니라, 위클리프 국제 연대로 받은 지원으로 쓰나미로 인한 피해 복구에 필요한 많은 비용을 처리하는 데 큰 도움이 되어 하나님을 찬송합니다. 이같은 지원과 관대함은 국제 연대내의 우정과 공동체에 큰 격려가 됩니다.
Conversations about generosity: Americas Area
Approximately 60 people participated in conversations about generosity at several national Bible translation round table meetings in El Salvador, Venezuela, Panama, Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Guatemala. They presented the results of the Survey on Generosity carried out by Nydia Garcia-Schmidt, former Director of the Wycliffe Global Alliance Americas Area. The survey was designed to: determine the current status of generosity within organizations, compile the results of how people responded to instruction on this topic, lay the foundations for articulating a vision that guides generosity practices from a biblical perspective in the context of God's mission. Pray that organizations and churches continue to apply biblical principles of generosity in their ministries and make opportunities to express generosity to others.

엘살바도르, 베네수엘라, 파나마, 도미니카 공화국, 에콰도르, 과테말라에서 모인 약 60명의 참가자들이 여러 국가의 성경 번역 프로젝트 원탁 회의에서 관대함에
대하여 논의했습니다. 이 모임에서 이들은 위클리프 국제 연대 미주 지역 전 이사인 나디아 선교사가 수집한
“풍성한 나눔에 대한 설문조사” 결과를 발표했습니다. 설문 조사는 단체 내에서 풍성한 나눔의 현재 상태를 점검하고, 이 주제에 대한 지침에 사람들이 어떻게
반응했는지에 대한 결과를 수집하고, 하나님의 선교라는 맥락에서 성경적 관점으로 관대함을 실천하도록 안내하는
비전을 명확히 하기 위한 토대를 마련하기 위해 고안되었습니다. 단체들과 교회들이 계속해서 그들의 사역에 성경적인 풍성한 나눔의 원칙을 적용하고 다른 사람들에게 풍성한 나눔을 표현(/실천)할 수 있는 기회를 만들어 가도록 기도해 주세요.
