Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea
In Papua New Guinea, where the health infrastructure is not well established, the impact of the pandemic is affecting most of the ministries. In April, The Parks were scheduled to go down to Alotau Centre and work with Kaninuwa translators, but the government's lockdown order was tightened, which made it difficult to travel, forcing them to postpone the meetings for the time being. Please pray that the draft of Luke's Gospel at the village will be edited and well prepared for checking in July. Pray that two translators from the village can receive their boat ticket support when they come to Alotau. Also, please pray that the security of the Alotau area will be stabilized soon, so that Joseph and Joyce will have no difficulties in their ministry at the Alotau Centre.

보건 인프라가 잘 구축되어있지 못한 파푸아뉴기니에서는 코로나 대유행병으로 인한 타격이 사역 전반에 걸쳐 영향을 미치고 있습니다. 4월달에 알로타우로 내려가서 카니누와 조력자들과 함께 사역할 예정이었으나 정부의 이동 제한 행정명령이 강화되어 이런한 변경 상황을 마을과 어렵게 교신하여 당분간은 함께 모여 사역하는 일은 연기할 수 밖에 없는 상황으로 바뀌었습니다. 마을에서 점검한 누가복음 초벌 번역 자료가 잘 보충되어 7월중 자문위원 점검을 준비하는데 차질이 없도록, 마을에서 두 명의 번역가가 알로타우 센터로 나오게 될 때에 마을 공동체에서 뱃삯을 지원받을 수 있도록, 알로타우 지역의 치안이 속히 안정을 찾아 박 선교사 부부가 알로타우로 내려가서 사역할 때 아무 어려움이 없도록 기도해 주세요.

Serving in multifaceted roles: Papua New Guinea and Brazil
Many volunteers serving in the Bible translation ministry bring with them a wealth of experience, knowledge and skills. Praise the Lord for Alessandro and Raquel Nunes and their four year old son, Gabriel. They are seconded to the Papua New Guinea Bible Translation Association (PNGBTA) from ALEM Brazil. Since 2018 they have been serving in various administration roles and assisting language teams in Milne Bay. The Lord led them to take up the advisor role for the Maiwala translation project in 2019. In November 2020, Alessandro was appointed as the interim Area Program Manager (APM) in the region when the position became vacant. Ask the Lord to provide for their needs as they serve in these multiple areas. Pray for peace for them and their relatives in Brazil. They have not been able to visit them because of COVID-19. Pray for the leadership of PNGBTA as they process and appoint a new APM soon.

성경 번역 사역에서 섬기는 많은 자원 봉사자들은 자신들의 풍부한 경험, 지식과 재능을 겸비하고 있습니다. 알레산드로와 라켈 부부, 이들의 4 살된 아들 가브리엘을 인하여 주님을 찬송합니다. ALEM 브라질 소속인데 파푸아뉴기니성경번역협회 (PNGBTA)로 파송을 받았습니다. 이 가정은 2018년부터 다양한 행정 사역으로 섬겨왂고 지금은 밀른베이 지역의 언어팀을 돕고 있습니다. 2019년에는 마이와라 번역 프로젝트의 자문 역할을 맡게되었고 2020년 11월에는 공석이 된 지역 프로그램 매니저(APM) 대행역으로 지명되었습니다. 이 가정이 이렇게 다양한 역할로 섬길 때 필요를 채워 주시도록, 이 가정과 함께 코로나로 인하여 만날 수 없는 브라질에 있는 친지들의 평안을 위하여, 속히 지역 프로그램 매니저(APM) 를 임명할 수 있도록 PNGBTA 리더십을 위하여도 기도해 주세요.
Protection in political upheaval: Chad
With the recent death of Chad's president the country has experienced instability as conflict has arisen among different factions. Pray that God will bring about a peaceful resolution to Chad's political situation. Pray for God’s protection of the staff of Association Tchadienne d’Alphabétisation, de Linguistique et de Traduction de la Bible (ATALTRAB) and its partner organizations, as well as for Bible translation project staff in the country.

Richard Young, Todd Jones, and Bill Mayes launched an IT Connect Online Training Series on May 27, 2020. Since then 23 webinars in English and French have been held for IT specialists all over Africa.
