Daniel (/Helen) Yoon: Engagement & Application Advisor for Korean Diaspora

With God-given gifts and joyfulness, Daniel does his best as an application advisor who ensures that committed people are placed in the right place at the right time while serving the most strategic ministries of prayer and various mission training and mobilization programs. We praise God for the encouragement we receive from those who inquire to learn more, and those who say that they are praying alongside with us as he shares Weekly Prayer Bulletins through a team ministry. Please pray that through Daniel's ministry, more people will be inspired to join the Bible translation movement praying with God's passion for Bible-less peoples. Daniel will be taking sabbatical months during the summer to accommodate the schedules of his daughter and grandchildren visiting from Korea. Pray for his fruitful time of rest and rejuvenation. Pray also for the Korean Diaspora Engagement team that there will be no gaps in ministry during his absence, including sharing weekly prayer requests.

윤 선교사는 하나님의 때에 준비된 헌신된 사람들이 적재적소에 배치되도록 돕는 허입 수속과, 선교 사역에 있어서 가장 전략적 사역인 기도 및 각종 선교훈련 동원 프로그램 등의 요긴한 사역을 기쁨으로 감당하며 주님이 맡겨주신 은사로 최선을 다해 섬기고 있습니다. 팀사역으로 주간 기도제목을 나눌 때마다, 더 자세한 내용을 알고자 문의하는 분들이나, 함께 기도하고 있다면서 격려의 말씀을 주는 분들을 통해 힘을 주시는 하나님께 감사드립니다! 윤 선교사의 사역을 통해 더 많은 분들이 성경없는 민족들을 향한 하나님의 열정을 갖고 성경번역 운동에 동참하도록 기도해 주세요. 여름 동안 한국에서 방문하는 딸과 외손자들의 일정에 맞추어 안식월을 갖게 됩니다. 휴식과 재충전의 유익한 시간이 되도록 함께 기도해 주세요. 부재 중 주간기도제목 나눔 등의 사역에 공백이 없도록 팀을 위해서도 기도해 주세요.

 

Well-done Kairos courses

We are thankful for the completion of the two Kairos courses that have been running in the Vancouver and Toronto areas since April. We also thank God that Jinsook served the course successfully with other facilitators as a Head Facilitator for the Toronton course, hosted by YoungNak Presbyterian Church of Toronto. Pray that participants will be committed to living more missional lives, which in turn will contribute to their churches becoming more missional!

지난 4월부터 밴쿠버 지역과 토론토 지역에서 계속된 카이로스 코스가 은혜 중에 잘 마쳤음에 감사드립니다. 영락교회에서 열린 토론토 지역 코스를 한진숙 선교사가 책임조력자로 다른 조력자들과 함께 잘 섬겼음에도 감사드립니다. 참가자들이 더욱 더 선교적인 삶을 사는 성도로 헌신하고, 이로 인해 소속 교회들이 더욱 더 선교적인 교회로 바뀌어 가도록 기도해 주세요!

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)

Q Project: Lotari

We praise the Lord for many thankful things. More than 50 percent of the “Life of Christ” back translation to English has been completed. IBT won the court case regarding its petition to include Lotari and two neighbouring language communities in the census that recently began. The “Lotari” part of the Lotari-English dictionary for students has completed editing and two additional teachers are now leading Lotari in their classrooms in the public school system. Please pray that the Lotari people will live the rich life God originally intended, as the translation of the Bible with literacy and multilingual education is advanced well, both in this world and forever in God’s Home.

 

실크로드, Q 프로젝트, 로타리

로타리어 -영어 사전의 로타리어 부분이 편집 완료되었음에, 또한 로타리 언어로 번역된 “그리스도의 생애” 이야기가 전문가 점검을 위해 50% 이상 영어로 역번역되었음에 감사드리고, 최근에 로타이 언어와 이웃한 두 언어 등이 법원의 판결로 이제 소속 국가에서 통계 조사에 이름을 올리게 되었으며, 공립학교에서 두 명의 로타리 교사들이 더 추가되어 로타리 언어를 가르치고 있음에 감사드립니다!  계속되는 성경번역과 문해사역 및 다중언어 교육을 통해 로타리 민족이 이 땅에서와 영원히 하나님이 의도하신 풍성한 삶을 살도록 기도해 주세요.

Developing praying communities: Switzerland
Wycliffe Switzerland’s staff members are finding ways to come alongside church leaders as they seek to rekindle people’s interest in the Bible. Family services around the theme “Bible” are a popular tool, which also helps children to learn about the importance of the Bible and its impact around the world. Praise God that church engagement staff have established more contacts with churches. Pray for additional contacts with pastors and mission team leaders. Ask God to provide more opportunities for speaking engagements, especially in areas of Switzerland where Wycliffe is not well known. Pray that all who serve with Wycliffe, both in other countries and in Switzerland, can strengthen their relationships with their home churches.

 

기도하는 커뮤니티 개발: 스위스

위클리프 스위스 사역자들은 교회 지도자들과 함께 성경에 대한 사람들의 관심을 다시 불러일으킬 수 있는 방법을 찾고 있습니다. '성경'을 주제로 한 가족 예배는 어린이들이 성경의 중요성과 성경이 전 세계에 미치는 영향에 대해 배우는 데 도움이 되는 인기있는 도구입니다. 교회 협력 담당자들이 교회와 더 많은 관계를 맺게 된 것을 하나님께 찬양합니다. 목회자 및 선교팀 리더들과 더 많은 접촉을 위해, 특히 위클리프가 잘 알려지지 않은 스위스 지역에서 말씀을 전할 수 있는 더 많은 기회를 주시도록 하나님께 기도해주세요. 스위스는 물론 다른 나라 위클리프에서도 자국 내 교회들과의 협력 관계가 더욱 강화되도록 주세요.

 

A mission-focused church: Jamaica
In February, the Wycliffe Caribbean office team was invited to host a missions conference in collaboration with the Missionary Church Association in Jamaica. It was a hybrid event with people gathered in person as well as others joining online. Several testimonies were shared from cross cultural workers serving in Southeast Asia and a person getting ready to go to Papua New Guinea. The conference theme was "It's Time to Go" and the main message was “What GO means in a Mission-focused Church”. Wycliffe Caribbean staff shared about the remaining Bible translation needs and challenged those present, along with their pastors, to make a response to God’s call. Several people did respond. Pray for them as they follow God’s leading to take steps toward involvement in God’s mission and Bible translation.

 

선교에 초점을 맞춘 교회: 자메이카

지난 2월, 위클리프 카리브해 팀은 자메이카 선교 교회 협회와 협력하여 선교 컨퍼런스를 개최하게 되었고, 대면 및 온라인으로 행사가 치러졌습니다. 동남아시아에서 사역하는 타문화 사역자들과 파푸아뉴기니로 선교를 준비하는 분들의 간증이 나눠졌습니다. 컨퍼런스 주제는 "이제는 가야 할 시간"이었는데, "선교 중심 교회에서 GO가 의미하는 것"이 주요 메시지였습니다. 위클리프 캐리비안 사역자들은 남아 있는 성경 번역의 필요성에 대해 나누고 참석자들에게 목회자들과 함께 하나님의 부르심에 응답할 것을 도전했고, 그 결과 몇몇 사람들이 응답했습니다. 그들이 하나님의 인도하심을 따라 하나님의 선교와 성경 번역에 참여하기 위한 발걸음을 내딛을 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

29 Our Aviation engagement team is representing JAARS at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, WI, next month. Pray for the planning and logistics necessary for the team of nearly 50 people.
