L/C 선교사: 성경번역 (A국, Z 언어)

여러분의 기도에 감사드립니다. C 선교사의 어머니가 급한 위기를 넘겼고, 이제 병원에서의 치료는 다 마치고 호스피스 병동으로 옮기게 되었습니다. 옆에서 간호하는 C 선교사와 가족들 모두가 함께 힘을 내어 어머니와 인생 여정의 마지막 시간을 뜻깊게 보낼 수 있도록 기도해주세요. 지난 달 있었던 컨퍼런스를 통해 현지에 사역자들이 세워져 있어서 어려움 속에서도 계속 활발하게 사역이 진행되는 것이 얼마나 감사한 일인지 알게 해주심에 감사드립니다. 조금씩 문이 열리고는 있음에도 감사드리고, 접근이 허락되지 않아 아직 어려움을 겪고 있는 여러 언어 프로젝트마다 L/C 선교사와 같이 원거리 사역이나 여러 창의적인 방법으로 계속 열매맺는 사역이 이어지도록 함께 기도해 주세요.

L & C: Z Bible translation, A country

Thank you for your prayers. C's mother has made it through an acute crisis and is now finished with her treatment in the hospital and has been moved to a hospice clinic. Please pray for strength for C and her family as they care for their mother so that they can fully appreciate the last hours of her life journey together. Thank God that the branch conference L & C attended last month reminded us of how thankful we are to have national workers raised locally based so that Bible translation ministry can continue to be active amid recent challenges. We thank God that doors are slowly opening and pray that for each of the many language projects still struggling due to lack of access, Bible translation ministry will continue to bear fruit, whether through long-distance work like L/C missionaries or other creative ways.

여러분의 기도와 구체적인 도움에 감사드립니다. 지난 8/15-17일 대한기도원에서 열린 라이프게임이 은혜 중에 잘 치러졌음에 감사드립니다! 무엇보다 하나님을 모시고 믿음의 가족으로 사는 영원한 삶의 관점에서 자신의 삶을 조망하고 천국에 열매맺는 삶에 헌신하기로 다짐하는 모든 참가자들의 고백이 있었음에 감사드립니다! 또한 2명의 전임사역 헌신자와 2명의 성경번역선교 관심자와 10명의 라이프게임 자원봉사 희망자를 얻게해 주심에 감사드립니다. 앞으로도 계속 라이프게임을 통해 하나님나라에 헌신된 믿음의 사람들을 부르시도록, 이번에 다짐한 모든 참가자들과 스탭들의 삶에 하나님께서 구체적으로 역사하시도록 함께 기도해 주세요.

Well carried-out LiFEgame  

Thank you for your prayers and practical helps! Praise the Lord that the Life Games at Daehan Prayer Center on August 15-17 went well by His grace! Most of all, we are thankful for the confessions of all the participants who examined their lives through LiFEgame and decided to live a life that bears fruits for the Kingdom of Heaven, with the perspective of eternal life living as a family of believers with God! We are also thankful that we gained two full-time ministry commitments, 2 Bible translation missionary interests, and 10 LiFEgame volunteer applicants. Please join us in praying that God will continue to use LiFEgame to call people of faith who are committed to His Kingdom and that He will work specifically in the lives of all the participants and staff who made commitments this time.

총체적 성경번역 사역: 동부 라와 언어 (태국)

이야기 구연방식의 성경번역이 진행되는 가운데, 문해사역과 공동체 개발 사역이 잘 병행되고 있음에 감사드립니다. 로지 선교사가 작년부터 시작한 재봉 기술학교가 잘 진행되고, 실제 제작한 상품을 팔고 주문도 받고 있으며, 이로 인해 여러 마을에서 재봉 기술을 가르쳐달라는 요청이 들어왔습니다. 이를 통해 문해사역과 복음 제시 및 기도 사역이 이어지고 있음에 감사드립니다!  마가복음 초벌 번역의 마을 점검과 번역전문가 점검을 위해 기도해 주시고, 새로이 개발된 읽기 책자를 교사들이 사용할 수 있게 훈련할 기회를 얻도록 기도해 주세요. 앞서 말한 재봉 기술 사역을 통해서도 라와 공동체에 경제적인 도움을 주는 것은 물론 읽기 가르치기와 복음나눔을 통한 영혼 구원의 역사가 계속되게 기도해 주세요.

Holistic Bible translation: Eastern Lawa, Thailand

We are thankful that the literacy and community development work is going well as the Oral Storytelling Bible translation continues simultaneously. The sewing class Rosie started last year is going well, and these Lawa ladies are selling the items they made and getting orders, which has led to requests from several villages to teach them sewing skills. We are thankful that the literacy, gospel presentation, and prayer ministries are happening simultaneously with this ministry! Pray for the village checks and the consultant checks of the translation draft of the Gospel of Mark and for opportunities to train school teachers to use the newly developed reading premiers. Pray that the sewing class ministry mentioned above will continue to provide economically practical help to the Lawa community, as well as the work of saving souls through the teaching of reading and the sharing of the Gospel.

오디오 성경 녹음 완료: 루카이 언어 (대만)

6월 초 루카이어 오디오 성경 녹음을 잘 마칠 수 있도록 인도해 주신 하나님을 찬양합니다. 대만 위클리프 팀이 루카이 교회와 “믿음은 들음에서 나며”  (FCBH) 팀, 대만 성서 공회, 그리고 위클리프 홍콩과 협력하여 이 오디오 성경 녹음 과정을 도왔습니다. 완성하는데 6개월 정도가 걸리는 오디오 파일 정리 과정을 위해서도 기도해 주세요. 2023년 말 폐회식과 함께 루카이 성경 앱을 다운로드할 수 있도록 이 준비과정을 위해 함께 기도해 주세요.

Completion of audio Bible recording: Taiwan

Praise God for the completion of the Rukai language audio Bible recording in early June. Wycliffe Taiwan helped facilitate this audio Bible recording together with the Rukaichurch, Faith Comes by Hearing, the Bible Society in Taiwan and Wycliffe Hong Kong. Pray for the processing of audio files that will take six months to complete. Pray for the preparation of the closing ceremony which will be held at the end of 2023 when the Rukai Scripture application is ready for download.

효율성과 효과를 위한 역량 강화: 카메룬

카메룬의 현지인 성경 번역 및 문해 단체 캡탈(CABTAL)에서 성경번역 사역자들과 역번역 사역자들이 보다 효율적으로 작업할 수 있도록 기본적인 컴퓨터 교육을 제공했는데, 카메룬 동부 지역의 동부 반투 어 사용자들이 이 훈련을 통해 혜택을 입게 되었음을 인해 하나님께 감사드립니다. 참가자들이 훈련받은 내용을 완전히 습득할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 또한 캡탈에서는 번역팀 사역자들과 특히 지역 교회 지도자들이 성경번역 프로그램을 효율적으로 관리할 수 있도록 교육하고 있습니다. 7월 초 벨투아에서 동부 카메룬의 그바야, 비옙, 보빌리스, 비켈레, 폴, 방간도와 응젬, 이 7개의 언어 그룹들을 위한 훈련을 갖게 하신 하나님께 감사 드립니다. 이 지역 성경 활용 사역 관련 조력자들이 현지어로 이미 번역된 성경의 사용을 장려하기 위해서 배운 전략들을 잘 적용하고 이를 통해 사람들의 삶이 변화(/변혁)될 수 있도록 함께 기도해 주세요.

Capacity building for efficiency and effectiveness, Cameroon

Cameroon Association for Bible Translation and Literacy (CABTAL) provides various training courses to build skills for translation teams and community members. CABTAL organises basic computer training for translators and back-translators, so that they can work more efficiently. Thank God for speakers of the Eastern Bantu cluster of languages in the East Region of Cameroon who have benefited from this training. Pray that those being trained will be able to master the lessons. CABTAL also trains members of translation teams, especially community church leaders, to be effective in managing translation programmes. Thank God for a training that took place in early July in Bertoua, for seven language groups in Eastern Cameroon: Gbaya, Byep, Bobilis, Bikele, Pol, Bangando and Njyem. Pray that the Scripture engagement facilitators in the area can implement the strategies they have learned to encourage the use of local language Scriptures, so that people’s lives can be transformed.

Ask God to continually provide wisdom and discernment for our Technology & Business Solutions team, enabling them to fulfill the mission and vision of JAARS.

Pray for God’s Word, in oral and visual formats, to powerfully impact and transform those hearing and seeing Scripture for the first time.
