L/C 선교사: 성경번역 (A국, Z 언어)

지난 8/30일에 C 선교사 모친께서 아버지의 영원한 집으로 되돌아 가셨고, 장례와 필요한 절차들을 잘 마쳤음에 감사드립니다! 권사님을 떠나보낸 C 선교사와 가족들에게 하나님의 위로가 넘치며, 예수 안에 참 소망을 갖고, 믿음의 삶을 완주하신 권사님의 생애를 기억하며 보다 더 의미 있고 헌신된 삶을 사는 가족들이 되도록 기도해 주세요.

L & C: Z Bible translation, A country

C's mother was called back to our Father's eternal home on Aug 30 and we are thankful that the funeral and all the necessary process carried out well. Please pray for God's comfort for L/C and their family members for this temporary loss. Ask Him to fill them with the true hope in Jesus, and help them them live more meaningful and committed life, recalling how their mother and grandmother has run her race of faith life, while they walking on this earth.

GBT 선교사들을 위한 온라인 영어 개인교습

이번 주 수요일부터 10 주 동안 제 5차 한국성경번역선교회 사역자들을 위한 온라인 영어 교습이 열립니다. 섬겨주시는 전현직 위클리프 캐나다 멤버들과 자원봉사자들께 감사드립니다. 코디로 섬기는 윤기태/박은영/이규준/폴 마이즈너 선교사에게 지혜 주시고, 참가하는 GBT 사역자들이 영어 실력 향상을 통해 다문화 팀과 국제적 협력 상황에서 더욱 의미 있게 잘 기여하도록 기도해 주세요.

Online English Tutoring Class for GBT

Starting this Wednesday, we will hold our fifth online English tutoring class for Global Bible Translators, or Wycliffe Korea, for ten weeks. We thank God for the tutors, the current and former Wycliffe Canada members and volunteers serving. Please pray for God's wisdom for the coordination team, Ki-Tae Youn, Eunyoung Park, Gyoojun Lee, and Paul Meisner. Pray also for the participating GBT workers to improve their English skills to contribute more meaningfully in cross-cultural teams and international partnership situations.

동부 라와 언어 성경번역: 태국

마가복음 역번역을 잘 마침에 감사 찬송 드립니다! 6월에 시작한 마을 공동체 점검인데, 10월까지 잘 마칠 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 이미 번역을 마친 룻기나 요나서처럼 짧지 않고 16장 분량이어서 독해 질문을 만드는 것이 생각보다 오래 걸렸지만, 앞으로 한두 주 안에 마치려고 합니다. 현재 비신자 2명과 그리스도인 2명이 함께 마을 점겅에 참여하고 있는데, 비신자들도 이 과정을 통해 주님을 영접하도록 기도해 주세요.

Village checks of the Gospel of Mark in Eastern Lawa: Thailand

Praise God for finishing the back translation of Mark. Pray that we can get the community testing done in the next month or so. The community checking has just started in early June. The testing questions were more difficult than expected and took longer than anticipated to put together. (16 chapters is a lot more than Ruth or Jonah). Please pray that we finish this well in the next few weeks and for the people coming that their hearts and eyes would be opened and they would accept Jesus. So far we've had 2 non Christians and 2 Christians do testing with us.”

위클리프 국제 연대 세계 성경번역 기도 제목   Streams of Prayer, Wycliffe Global Alliance

오지 주일학교 지원 사역: 케츄아 파스타자 언어, 페루

아이디아 (AIDIA) 소속 조력자들인 아나 마리아와 셴디가 페루 북동부에 있는 북부 파스타자 언어 공동체를 방문했습니다. 파스타자 언어는 케츄아 어군에 속한 언어이며, 두 조력자들은 이곳 아이들을 위한 케츄아 어린이 성경 자료들을 준비해 갔습니다. 이곳은 비행기나 강 길을 따라 배로만 올 수 있고, 보통 너댓새가 걸립니다. 하나님의 은혜로 두 사람은 비행기 편을 잘 잡아 나흘 만에 이곳에 올 수 있었고, 오전에는 97명의 아이들에게 말씀을 가르쳤으며, 오후에는 교사들을 훈련시켰습니다. 모두 다섯 교회에서 모인 사람들이었습니다. 훈련 받은 교사 중에 루즈 마리나는 "이제 주일학교가 어떤 건지 알게 됐어요"라고 말합니다. 자기 교회로 돌아가 아이들을 가르칠 생각에 신이 나 있었습니다. 아나 마리아와 셴디는 이 파스타자 공동체를 다시 찾고 싶을 뿐만 아니라 외딴 곳에 있는 다른 곳에도 가서 아이들에게는 성경을 가르치고 또 교사들을 훈련하기를 원합니다. 하나님께서 필요한 것들을 채워주시고 그들을 안전하게 지켜주시도록 기도해 주세요.

Leading in the teaching of God's Word: Peru

Ana Maria and Shendy, facilitators of AIDIA, travelled to Andoas Viejo, a remote Quechua community in North Pastaza, Peru. They had prepared Quechua children’s Bible materials. These communities can only be reached by plane or by river and it is a four- to five-day trip. God was kind and they managed to get a flight and arrived safely. For four days Ana Maria and Shendy taught 97 children in the mornings and trained Sunday School teachers from five churches in the afternoons. One of the teachers, Luz Marina, said at the end of the training, "Now I know what a Sunday school is like”. She was excited to return to her church and teach the children. Ana Maria and Shendy hope to return to this community and to visit many other communities in remote areas of Peru to teach children about the Bible and train teachers. Thank God for sending these two young women. Pray for provision and protection for them as they visit other communities in remote regions of Peru.

JAARS Prayerline

JAARS is providing 4WD vehicles to the SIL team in Vanuatu and the Bible Translation Association of Papua New Guinea. Pray for safe delivery and ask that the vehicles will effectively support bauble translation and Scripture engagement efforts in these areas.

Pray that the contacts made by our Global Operations team members, Johannes Rehm and Tatchum Noussi, during their recent Democratic Republic of the Congo trip will strengthen relationships with our Bible translation partners there.

Praise God for all who labor in his service. "That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God" (1 Tim. 4:10a)
