알버트/마르다 (이삭, 모세) 선교사: 위클리프 대만 대표, 보안국 지역 책임자

알버트 선교사는 지난 5월에 있었던 인공지능을 이용하는 번역 워크숍 후에 시라야족과 다른 대만의 소수민족 성경 번역 팀들을 도울 수 있는 일들을 준비하고 있습니다. 다음 주간에는 대만 위클리프 이사 회의로, 7월 15일 주간에는 태국에서 모이는 SIL 파트너십 회의에 각 각 참석할 예정입니다. 마르다는 7월 22일부터 27일까지 보안지역 사역 팀들과 모이고 섬기기 위해 해외로 출타하게 됩니다. 사역 팀들이 어려운 환경 가운데 사역할 때 하나님의 보호하심과 은혜를 경험하도록 기도해 주시고, 알버트와 마르다 선교사 부부가 안전하고 건강하게 다녀오도록 기도해 주세요. 7월말부터 시작되는 이삭(고교 3학년)의 대입 준비를 위한 하계보충수업을 잘 감당하도록, 모세 또한 하계 보충 수업과 복음 캠프에 잘 다녀올 수 있도록, 두 아들 모두 주의 음성에 귀 기울이고 믿음으로 성장하도록 기도해 주세요.

Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): Director of Wycliffe Taiwan and Language Program Manager of a sensitive area, respectively

After a translation workshop in May on using AI-aided drafting to translate a Bible, Albert is preparing to help Siraya and other Taiwanese ethnic minority Bible translation teams. Next week, he will participate in the meeting of the Board of Directors of Wycliffe Taiwan and also attend the SIL Partnership meeting in Thailand on July 15. Martha will travel overseas from July 22 to 27 to meet with teams she serves in a sensitive area. Please pray for these ministry teams to experience God's protection and grace as they minister in challenging environments. Pray that Albert and Martha will have a safe and healthy trip. Pray for Isaac (a senior in high school) to do well in his University prep classes starting in late July; for Moses to do well in his summer supplemental classes and VBS camp; and for both sons to listen to the Lord's voice and grow in faith.

윤 선교사가 한국 방문과 여러 변화 가운데서도 계속해서 성경 번역 선교를 위한 동원 및 인사 관련 사역을 감당하게 해주심과, 올 초부터 Constant Contact 라는 이메일 전문 마케팅 프로그램을 훈련받아 주간 기도 제목을 더 동원에 효과적인 방법으로 발송하게 됨을 감사드립니다! 많은 기도 동역자들의 동역에 감사드리며, 이번 여름에 잘스의 채플린 사역 담당자들과 기도 동역에 대해 함께 의논할 예정인데 잘스와 더 의미 있는 기도 동역을 위해 좋은 협력이 지속되도록, 윤 선교사의 사역을 통해 더 많은 사람들이 성경없는 민족들을 향한 하나님의 열정을 갖고 성경번역 운동에 동참하도록 기도해 주세요.

Daniel (/Helen) Yoon: Engagement & Application Advisor for Korean Diaspora

We are grateful that Daniel continues to lead the mobilization and personnel work for the Bible translation mission amidst his visit to Korea and other changes. Earlier this year, he was trained in a professional email marketing program called Constant Contact to send out weekly prayer bulletins more effectively in terms of mobilization! We are grateful for the partnership of many prayer partners and will be discussing prayer partnerships with the chaplaincy staff at JAARS this summer. We ask your prayer for continued good collaboration for more meaningful prayer partnerships with JAARS through this meeting. Please pray that Daniel's ministry will inspire more people to join the Bible translation movement and pray with God's passion for Bibleless people.

크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 알리스 선교사, 블랙풋 프로젝트

지금까지 사역팀은 세 명의 번역가로 구성된 두 팀과 각각 두 차례의 번역 세션을 가졌습니다. 팀원들 모두 각기 다른 재능과 기술을 가지고 있으며, 가장 효과적인 번역 절차들을 찾기 위해 여전히 실험 중입니다. 하나님께서 번역가들의 작업을 계속 격려해 주시고 좋은 작업 흐름을 고안해 낼 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 번역 자문 위원인 제프와 앨리스 선교사는 번역가들이 목표를 달성하는 데 가장 좋은 자원과 지원할 방법에 대해 자주 고민합니다. 사역팀은 블랙풋의 젊은이들이 더 많이 참여하기를 바라며, 하나님께서 지역사회에 더 많은 관심과 지원을 주시도록, 또한 프로젝트 관리자들이 향후 1-3년 동안의 예산 책정과 사역 계획을 세우고 있는데 이 일에 지혜와 은혜 주시도록 기도해 주세요.

Cree initiative: Alice Reed, Blackfoot Projects

So far, the team has had a couple of translation sessions with each of the two teams of three translators. Everyone brings different gifts and skills to the team, and the team is still experimenting to find the most effective translation process. Please pray that God will continue encouraging the translators in their work and help them devise a good workflow. The two consultants, Jeff and Alice, frequently reflect on how we can best resource and support the translators in achieving their goals. The team would love to see younger Blackfoot involved, so please pray God raises more interest and support in the communities. Also, the project administrators are budgeting and planning for the next 1-3 years, so prayers for wisdom are appreciated.

어린이를 위한 주일학교 성경 공과 시작: 페루

작년 말, 위클리프 캐나다의 동역 단체인 아이디아 페루 사역자들은 파스타자 강을 따라 오지에 위치한 북부 및 남부 파스타자 공동체의 주일학교 교사들을 위한 훈련 세션을 열었습니다. 약 130명의 어린이들이 창조 이야기, 예수님의 탄생, 십자가와 같은 주제를 중심으로 성경에 기반한 활동과 교육에 참여했습니다. 남부 파스타자에서는 교사들이 담임 목회자 사택에서 주일학교를 시작했습니다. 매 주일마다 12~15명의 어린이들이 모여 예수님을 통한 하나님의 사랑과 구원의 계획에 대해 듣고 기도하는 법을 배웁니다. 파스타자 지역 사회를 위한 성경 번역에 열정을 가진 아이디아 사역자들과 현지 번역가들, 그리고 교회들을 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다! 많은 파스타자 어린이들이 그리스도를 만나게 되도록, 어린 아이들의 마음과 생각에 심겨진 복음의 씨앗이 복이 되도록 기도해주세요.

Sunday school Bible lessons for children launched: Peru

Near the end of 2023, staff from Wycliffe Canada’s partner organization, AIDIA Peru, traveled to remote locations along the Pastaza River to hold a training session for Sunday school teachers in the Northern and Southern Pastaza communities. About 130 children participated in Bible-based activities and teachings centered around themes like the creation story, the birth of Jesus, and the cross. In Southern Pastaza, teachers launched a Sunday school in the dining room of their lead pastor’s house. Each Sunday, 12 to 15 children gather to hear about God’s love and plan of salvation through Jesus and to learn how to pray. Praise God for AIDIA staff members, local translators, and churches who are passionate about further Bible translation for their Pastaza communities! Ask God to bless the seeds planted in young hearts and minds so that many Pastaza children will come to know Christ.

교회와 선교단체들을 위한 성경 번역 포럼: 바누아투

지난 4월 바누아투 성서 주간에 열렸던 성공적인 집회를 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다. 교회들과 선교 단체들을 위한 전국 성경 번역 포럼을 계획해 주신것과 또한 하나님이 계속 잘 인도해 주시기를, 시편 133편을 묵상하며 함께 이 일에 헌신한 사람들을 위해 기도해 주세요. 현재 성경을 접할 수 없는 44개 언어권을 포함하여 바누아투의 110개 언어 그룹 모두에게 하나님의 말씀이 속히 퍼져나가도록 기도해 주세요. (데살로니가후서 3:1) 가장 잘 이해할 수 있는 자기네 말로 된 하나님의 말씀을 아직 접하지 못한 모든 언어 공동체를 위하여 합심해서 기도해 주세요

Bible translation forum of churches and agencies: Vanuatu Praise God for successful meetings during the Vanuatu Bible Week in April. Thanks for planning a national Bible translation forum for churches and agencies. Ask God to direct these plans. Use Psalm 133 to pray for everyone involved. Pray that God’s Word comes soon to every one of the 110 language groups in Vanuatu, including the 44 groups that currently have no access to the Scriptures. (2 Thessalonians 3:1) Ask God to raise united prayer for every language group without access to God’s Word in a language they can understand.

JAARS Prayerline

In parts of Africa, South America, and the Pacific, boats are the best—or sometimes the only way—to reach a remote village. But the trip can be harrowing: crowding onto rundown ships, often with no safety equipment, and plying rough waters far from any hope of help if something goes wrong. JAARS provides coastal communities with specialized vessels, including outfitting, delivery, and repair, as well as logistical and financial support for boat programs, safety equipment, signaling devices, emergency satellite beacons, and water safety training. Please pray that JAARS’s sea operation team may serve as the best support teamwork.
